Ios 6 won't connect to wifi
i have ios 6 and i can not connect to my wifi in my house it keeps giving me an incorrect password error when i know the password is correct i can connect fine on my devices that i did not upgrade to ios 6 yet and my laptop can connect to the wifi fine.
I tried the method above several times however I had to refine it using the following method:
Once I received the message on the iPad settings window "unable to connect to network" I unticked the hotspot option on the blackberry. The mobile network and Wi-Fi boxes on your blackberry should both remain ticked, retick the hotspot box on your blackberry and only when the word "connecting" appears next to the box select the join button on the network settings on your iPad or choose your hotspot in the network list.
You should now be able to switch between your Wi-Fi networks and your hotspot, if this does not automatically happen then Repeat of the above process waiting for the word "connecting" before joining the hotspot network.
Now you're not forced to buy an iPhone!!!

IPad 3 with iOS 6 won't connect to Wifi Hotspot
I have a new iPad running iOS 6.01. It connects to wifi networks perfectly. I also own a Blackberry 9900 that is capable of running a wifi hotspot. The iOS6 iPad will not connect to my hotspot.
It is NOT the hotspot that is the problem. PCs connect to it as does my Android tablet. In fact I tried an iPad 2 with iOS v5.x and it connected instantly as well.
This is an iOS 6 problem I am positive. Any ideas anyone? Reseting network connections does not work.
Thanks,

IOS devices and Exchange won't connect over Wifi
Neither my ipad nor my iphone 5 will connect with my exchange server over my wifi network. The problem is limited to IOS devices on wifi and Exchange. The phone will connect with exchange over the cellular network. My windows laptop works fine over wifi with exchange and everything else. The ipad and iphone will connect to wifi and have no problems with web browsing, gmail, etc. I've used both devices successfully for months and the problem started yesterday. I did not do any IOS updates yesterday.
iPad and iPhone are both on IOS 7.0.4
The message on the screen: Cannot Get Mail. Server error. Contact your server administrator.
It also says: Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.
What I've tried:
Resetting network settings (only tried on iPad, since it didn't work)
Powering off each device then turning back on
Powered down the wireless router and powered back up
Confirmed with the exhange hosting company (GoDaddy) that they've made no changesSome things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I've got a Motorola modem/gateway - 3360 from WalMart. I have the AEBS working in bridge mode connecting my iMac & Printer fine, but my iOS devices won't connect.
While troubleshooting & trying all types of settings, I was able to get EITHER the iMac or the iOS devices connected to internet, but not both at same time.
Then I noticed I am getting "another device is using the same ip address.." message.
I have changed the AEBS ip address & had been able to get either the iMac or iOS devices working depending on which ip address I use.
BUT now, all my iOS devices dont connect to the internet regardless of the ip address of the AEBS.
All my iOS devices see the network, and accept the network password, but they do not connect to internet, circle just keeps spinning...
Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks for any assistance,
DaveIt looks like may have to go back to square one and delete my network & set it up from scratch if I don't figure it out.
If you do go this route, I would like to make a suggestion for your consideration, and that is to assign static IP addresses to devices that are "permanent" on your network or ones you want to make sure can be reachable at all times. These (again) would be servers, routers, wireless access points, network printers/scanners, NAS devices, etc.
I would recommend the following IP addressing scheme as a baseline and you are certainly free to deviate in any way you see fit to meet your networking requirements:
Reduce the number of IP handed out by DHCP. By default, most routers will provide 100-200 private IP addresses within their DHCP leasing scope. The AirPort, by default, assigns 10.0.1.2 thru 10.0.1.200 via DHCP. Your Motorola may assign 192.168.0.2 thru 192.168.0.150. Either way, I would reduce this to no more than fifty (50) total which should provide you with plenty of addresses even if you are hosting gaming convention at your home.
I use the following IP address scheme for the "permanent" network clients:
Network Printers: 10.0.1.200 - 209
NAS Devices: 10.0.1.210 - 219
Wireless Access Points or routers reconfigured as bridges: 10.0.1.220 - 229
Servers: 10.0.1.230 - 239
With the "permanent" devices pre-assigned with static Private IP address that are outside of the DHCP range, you shouldn't ever get an IP address conflict again. -
Since the last updating of the system, my Ipad (model MC769C), it won't connect to wifi more than 5 minutes at a time until I reset the router. Anyone can help ?

My Ipad won't connect to wifi.
My Ipad (1st generation, iOS 7.1.2) won't connect to wifi. I've had the Ipad for two days, the first two days it worked perfectly fine with my wifi, but today it wouldn't connect. I tried getting back on to my wifi but it told me the password was incorrect. I have tried to enter the password multiple times, but every time it tells me its incorrect. It is the correct password and I have made sure I have been typing it in correctly, which I have. I'm not sure what the problem is, and I don't know how to fix it. Please help!
"My Ipad (1st generation, iOS 7.1.2) won't connect to wifi. I've had the Ipad for two days"
A first gen iPad can only be upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 so it may not be a first generation.
Tap Settings > General > About
Which version do you see ??
For iOS Wi-Fi issues ..
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset.

IPad won't connect to WiFi network, but macbook pro & iphones will.
Both of my iPhones and my Macbook Pro easily connect to the wi-fi network. I feel like I've tried everything to get my iPad to connect. It used to connect perfectly fine and I'd watch Netflix, but then it started crashing. I work for a non-profit so it's a company network, not my personal one, but it's the only network I have considering I live here! Such a pain!
I've reset my network settings.
I've click "Forget Network"
I've done a hard reset of the iPad multiple times.
NOTHING WORKS.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
Try This - Renew IP Address:
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

My ipod touch won't connect to wifi at home, it use to work just fine, now it keeps telling me my password is wrong, but it can't be wrong because it is the same one I have always used. I also have an IPad2 that belongs to my daughter and it connects with our wifi at home with no problem. But, why is my wifi telling me that my password is wrong. I have tried everything, we have changed the pass word and that did not work. We have have taken security off of our wifi and my ipod touch give me another message, but it won't connect to my wifi at home. Please help... b/c the greatest thing for me is to be able to connect to wifi at home.
thanksI have even shut down my ipod touch to see if it fixes the lack of wifi connection at home but it keeps telling me my password is wrong. I can connect everywhere else, but not at home. Pls help my.. I need to connect at home. Does it matter if we have othere decives like ipads connected to the same wifi. Because we have an ipad2 and my ipod and up until 1 week ago, we had very little issues keeping both of our devices connected at home. Eitherway the ipad2 is still working just fine on our home wifi, but my ipod touch keeps refuseing to accept the password.
Pls help, i am very frustrated and I have tried everything. -
My MacBook Pro shut down unexpectedly and won't connect to wifi now.
My MacBook Pro shut down unexpectedly and won't connect to wifi now. All other devices in my house are connecting to the wifi just fine. The laptop just refuses to connect. Any ideas on how to fix this/what it might mean?
Try a SMC reset:

My iphone won't connect to my home wifi. It say's connected but when i try and go online it say's unable to connect. I've tried forgetting the network, turning wifi off and on. The ip address is ok and my laptop connects ok.
Has anyone got any ideas about how i can fix it?I am having the same issues as GirlyGirl. Every other day or so my iPhone 3GS won't connect to wifi. Before I was showing the wifi signal as if it were attached but I couldn't surf Safari. Now even though under the wifi settings it shows I'm connected, I don't get the wifi fan showing I'm connected. I've done the following:
Renewed lease
Forgotten network
Reset Network Settings
Reboot my iPhone
Two days ago when I rebooted the router and Reset Network Settings it started working correctly.
I've been working with my internet provider, they tell me my firmware on my 2wire is up to date & the issue is definitely with my iPhone.
Security Settings: WPA-PSK (TKIP) and WPA2-PSK (AES)
My iPhone is attaching to the 169.x IP Address and the Subnet is 255.255.0.0. The router, DNS and Search Domains are blank.
Also to note, I changed the name of my device through the gateway router so I could identify it more easily. As of today it had defaulted back to the old name which is the ip address. Even if I don't change anything it isn't keeping those settings.
Other than restarting my router and taking everything down for 15 minutes each time, what else can I try?
