IOS 7.0.2 Has Disabled Honda Handsfreelink Controls

After applying IOS 7.0.2 to my new iPhone 5S I am now unable to control my iPhone via the steering wheel contols on my 2013 Honda Accord Sport to advance or select songs.  Only Volume Up and Down is operable.  To test that it is the phone and not the car I connected my old iPhone 4 which is now only running IOS 7.0 and it works fine.  It was also working fine with IOS 7.0.1.
When is the next update out or how can I wipe my phone and put IOS 7.0.1 back?

I did the update last night and re-paired my phone this morning.  IT WORKED

  • IOS 8.2 upgrade has disabled Safari

    Since the latest iOS 8.2 upgrade on my iPad 4, my Safari has been totally disabled. It's completely frozen. Blank page, blank URL bar. I've tried wiping all history and cookies, and have turned off Safari and powered off the iPad. Still no joy. Are there any other solutions, and when is this going to be fixed, please?

    Please don't double-post.
    If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
    First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • Disabled my audio controls.

    On my late 2012 Mac Mini an inadvertent key press (puss) has disabled my audio control (ie. volume)
    The sound still works but the control comes up as greyed out with a little crossed circle at the bottom of the audio icon.
    I checked manuals, but can't re-enable the control from keyboard or mouse...  Obviously we have selected a disable, but the
    documentation doesn't seem to discuss this.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
  • Lost Mode has disabled ipod
    Firstly I have searched other questions and read through the posts but the only solution given is to reset and wipe the ipod.  Seems extreme and an unhelpful way of locking your ipod if it's just going to force a complete wipe of the device.  The ipod was connected by wifi but since put in 'lost mode' it has disconnected wifi so I can't try anything through iCloud as it just says the device is offline even though it is charged and has the display on.
    All the ipod displays is "iPod is disabled connect to iTunes".  No request for the lock pin and if I connect to iTunes with a usb cable it states the device is in Lost Mode and can only be reset.
    Given this was put in to lock mode only with a pin using iCloud I would hope that there is a way to get the iPod to request the 'lock pin' that was entered using iCloud over a wifi connection.
    Is there any way of getting the device to display a screen to input the pin that was sent through iCloud?  Otherwise is there another way of unlocking the device that doesn't involve resetting the device and losing all the information?
    If not then this seems a serious shortfall from Apple.
    I don't have the option of going to an apple store as I'm in a rural location.
    No, the security feature is working as designed. You have to restore and thus erase the iPod
  • HT1454 Help. My ipad 2 iOS 6.0.1 has stopped displaying on my tv screen using my apple av adaptor.
    Help. My ipad 2 iOS 6.0.1 has stopped displaying on my tv screen using my apple av adaptor. I had started watching a movie rented from iTunes. Initial message said display not authorised but I tried again and it started playing. After a couple of minutes it stopped and now the tv won't display anything at all, not even my photos. TV screen doesn't recognise a connection. I tried using my boyfriends ipad 2 iOS 6.0.1 and this displays fine and plays his purchased movies. We have exactly the same settings.
    I'm wondering if continuing to play the rented movie that initially said it was not authorised somehow disabled the tv display capability on my ipad?
    Hello Jesslocko,
    Before following the iPad Restore process make sure you have updated version of iTunes installed on your computer, to check that Open iTunes on your computer click on Help and then check for updates ( If there is any updates available then Install it ) and If you do not have iTunes Installed or if you want to directly update the version of your iTunes then Download and Install iTunes from here : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    1. Make sure your device (iPad) is unplugged (Disconnected) from your computer (this should be the computer that you use to sync your iPad or you can use any other computer with iTunes installed in it). You can leave the USB cable connected to your iPad though.
    2. Turn off your iPad. Press and hold the power button on the top edge until a slider appears. Slide it from left to right to power off your device. If the slider doesn't appear (because your iOS device has frozen up) then hold the power and Home buttons down until the iPhone or iPad turns off.
    3. Ensure your device has a decent amount of charge. Leave it plugged in to the mains for 10 minutes or so if you see the flat battery icon. (iPad low battery)
    4. Hold down the Home button (the round button at the bottom of your iPad screen) and connect the other end of USB cable to the computer this should cause your iPhone or iPad to turn on. Keep holding the Home button until you see the iTunes and USB cable images on your iPad screen, then release the button.(iPad recovery mode)
    5. In iTunes (launch the application if it isn't running on your Computer), you should see a message saying an iPad has been found in recovery mode.
    6. Click OK and then click on Restore to bring your iPad to Factory settings
  • IOS 8.1 Update has "BRICKED" my iPad 4 128Gb
    I am exceedingly angry about everything to do with iOS 8.x.  The 8.0 update mad everything intolerably slowm update 8.02 resulted in repeatable and constant crashing of Safari, mail, messaging, and other apps.
    This morning I decided to try the Update to iOS 8.1 only because life has been extremely miserable after iOWS 8 came out.  Twice, the iOS 8.1 update stated that it COULD NOT BE COMPLETED based on an error which it did not disclose.  I then reduced the number of apps and deleted documents to reduce what was stored in memory.  The iOS 8.1 update still failed.
    I then decided top do a hard reboot (Power Button and Home button hold)  ever since that, my iPad has been locked with the Apple Logo stuck on the screen.  It appears to be trying to reboot but is not.  It stays on for 20 - 30 min, the screen blacks out, the iPad shuts down, and then tries to reboot again.  It has been doing this now for over six hours.  It does not respond to any power button or home button pressing at all nor is it shutting down.
    I am really angry that Apple botched iOS 8 up and has done a miserable update to a perfectly running iOS 7.x system.  I am also angry that everything at this point seems to be lost document and photo wise since the last backup a couple of weeks ago.
    Has anyone else had this experience with the iPad 4 128 GB machine?
    Has anyone been able to get it to finally reboot?
    I'd appreciate any help.
