IOS 7.06 my photos app always crashing

iOS 7.06 my photos app always crashing, how can i fix it ?

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

    Importing photos to my ipad 2 on iOS 4.3.2 using camera connection kit causes photo app to crash. Tried importing photo from an iPhone 4/ Panasonic DMC-FX50 via USB and SD card but without success. However, importing video from a Flip Mino HD is ok. Can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong

    Have you tried a reset by holding the power and home buttons for ten seconds until the apple appears?
    Since it's multiple different import devices not working with the CCK, it appears to be on the iPad side...
    If the reset doesn't help, try a restore from within iTunes on the computer.

  • Photo App Keeps Crashing

    I took a picture with the camera app and my phone froze. I rebooted it and now when I open the Photos app it crashes when I open an album. Help!

    I've been having the same problem with my iPhone 4S. I went to an Apple Store last week and they said just to restore the software to a previous backup. This did the trick but last night my Photos app started crashing again (and thus when I take a picture the Camera app crashes because it can't save the picture).
    I have a hunch that the problem has to do with using the camera from the lock screen. Whenever my Photos app has started to crash it's been when I've been using the Camera directly from the lock screen. The Photos app is supposed to block access to you previously taken pictures but I guess if I do it too much it makes the app not work. Did you all have this occur from using the camera from the lock screen too?
    Anyways, you can fix the Photos app by restoring your iPhone to a previous backup that took place before you started having the problem. If you backup your iPhone while it has the problem and then restore your phone with that backup, the app still won't work. I'm going to avoid using my camera from the lock screen from now on, and hopefully Apple will release an update of iOS 5 that will correct this problem. Hope this helps!

  • Photo app keeps crashing on new ipad mini retina

    When clicking on the share button in the photos app it is very, very slow to load. My iPhone 4S loads faster than the new ipad mini then the photo app will crash.
    Any ideas? Is it an ios 7 bug?

    It's probably because you don't have enough storage to add all the photos. This happened to me too last week, but I (finally) figured it out. I have many apps and photos on my iPad, so my storage was low. I deleted a few things, and it worked perfectly fine!! Hope this is the same case for you

  • IOS 8 Photos App keeps crashing...What to do???

    As soon as i open the iOS 8 Camera Roll / Gallery photos app, it just crashes, What could i do to ???

    Try a Restart.  Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your settings You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
    Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

  • Photos is always crashing

    Photos app is always crashing when access past years' RAW photos after couple of photos loaded. It works fine with latest or preloaded photos but not for large photos from past. I have 40GB iCloud Photo Library with 15.000 photos and 15GB Photos data on my 64GB iPhone 6 Plus with "Optimize library" enabled. I think it's not enough RAM on my device (all other apps was closed during that) but can Apple optimize their Photos for iOS application? It's not only problem with iCloud Photos Library but it's annoying one.

    thanks, but didn't help. the largest file was 61Meg.
    meanwhile I observed that syslogd uses always very much CPU time, the fans are rotating fast and the process doesn't seem to terminate as long as I don't kill it.
    it doesn't use much physical or virtual memory, though. around 16MB physical and 618MB virtual.
    not unusual I guess?
    unfortunately, I still get these kinds of messages in system.log:
    Jan 6 20:32:50 Tigger com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.syslogd[28641]): Exited abnormally: Bus error
    Jan 6 20:37:04 Tigger com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.syslogd[28685]): Exited abnormally: Segmentation fault

  • Camera and Photos app keeps crashing!!!

    I had no problems last week until yesterday...i even did a clean restore but still the camera and photos app tend to crash
    it keeps stating "Please Wait" Updating Library...
    and the bar reaches up to about 30% loading and then crashes....anybody else having these problems on their 3gs?

    This means the answer is no - a clean restore does not mean you restored your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If there is a problem with your iPhone's backup, restoring from the backup will also restore the problem.
    All photos and/or video in your iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Not a good idea to depend on your iPhone and your iPhone's backup alone for this data in the event your iPhone is lost or stolen and it is not replaced with another iPhone, or there is a hardware problem with your iPhone.
    I always import all photos and videos captured by my iPhone with my computer ASAP as with any other digital camera and as with any other digital camera, I delete the photos and videos from the camera after the import process is complete. This also helps to keep the iPhone's backup time to a minimum, provides me a copy of this data on my computer for viewing along with including this data with my computer's backup along with all other important data, and if I want any of the imported photos and videos available on my iPhone for viewing, I can transfer the photos and videos from my computer to my iPhone via the iTunes sync process as with any other photos/video.
    Try importing the photos/videos from your iPhone's Camera Roll followed by deleting the photos/videos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete. If no change after doing so, restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.

  • Photos App keeps crashing, won´t open and I can´t view my photos anymore

    Please HELP! The new Photos App got installed and now everytime I try to open it, it crashes and I don´t know how to solve this!
    I used to work with a shared library between iPhoto and Aperture but most of the time I used Aperture, but when I assigned the shared library to the new Photos App, overtime I try to open the app, after 5 seconds it crashes!
    I used the Ctrl+Alt thing with the Aperture to keep seeing my photos but as I understand, nothing I do in terms of modifying and updating (adding photos and stuff) the library, it does not update the original library because it is already working with the app that keeps crashing down.
    What do I do??? How can I get the Photos App to work?
    PLEASE I´M DESPERATE

    PS: Pardon my english, i´m a native spanish speaking person, I´m from Mexico

    HI,
    Maybe try it this way this is what I did with mine because I did not migrate and didn't know about that either.
    Photos application for Mac Instructions that might help!
    On your iPad,iPhone keep the iCloud on in settings for Photos.
    if you have not opened the New Photos application yet to have it transfer your photos from iPhoto let it Transfer the Pictures.
    once you have all the pictures from iPhoto to Photos then in Photos go to Preferences
    there is general and iCloud tab and go to the iCloud and only uncheck the iCloud button that will make it so it doesn't sync with your iPhone and iPad for Photos.
    Then in Photos go up to View and press show sidebar because with that view you can move your pictures easier to albums snd delete or move any pictures or make new albums
    For Duplicates if you have a big pile in a row and I mean not like every other picture of the same pictures on the keyboard Hold down the shift button. or the other way is to Hold down the Command buttom that is right by the space bar then on the trackpad or mouse click once on the picture you want to delete and do a bunch at a time then on the last picture of that pile either right click the picture and delete or go up to the edit button which is next to file on the top left and click delete in edit.
    when you are all done with moving around your pictures or whatever go back to Preferences and turn on iCloud and make sure you have the optimize Mac Storage and then you are done! I hope this makes sense and works for you! here are the 2 pictures I'm talking about in settings.

  • Photos app always quitting

    Hello all,
    I just received (3 days ago) my brand new iPad. The first thing I did was charging it for a good 12 hours (or even more). Then it was time to start using the apparatus. First thing were my pictures. It took several hours for my MBP (with the iPad connected and supposedly synchronizing, therefore unusable) to adapt the pictures to Photos (iPad's iPhoto) and an other 45 minutes to synchronize the 33600 picture or so. So far so good. Here comes the problem: each time I launch Photos in my iPad a screen would appear saying that it is updating the pictures, and then just quits (comes back to the initial iPad screen, as if I pressed the menu button).
    What I did before writing this post:
    1. Restore the iPad entirely;
    2. Turn off completely the iPad (holding the on/off button until the "Slide to power off" appears and slide;
    3. Turn the iPad back on again and try Photos...
    To no avail.
    Any additional suggestion(s) most welcome.
    Thank you for your attention and possible help.
    Best regards from the sunny and a bit chilly Jura mountains in Switzerland.

    ++

    Hello again,
    Just to give a quick follow-up on the above mentioned issue. Unfortunately, it is still going on. Despite the new version of iOS 3.2.2 (which seemed to "only" resolve a security issue).
    This is what I noticed so far:
    · Only 26'518 pictures will fit (I still 38.4 GB free). Adding another image one renders the Photos application useless. When entering Photos, a screen appears saying "updating pictures", the little sun spins (the equivalent of the beach ball on Mac OS X) and then it goes back to menu (where the application icons are);
    · When I'm scrolling rapidly in Events view, when reaching approximately the 2/3 of the length, the Photos app just quits and back to square one;
    · It also happens in the "Photos" view, but less frequently;
    · On the synchronization side, at the end of a sync, I have a window that appears saying that there are two movies that can not be played in the iPad, therefore they have not been transferred (for the moment I want to leave that warning so once I will try to transform those movies in a compatible format).
    · Finally, after synchronizing, the iPad becomes very slow and, after a while (10-15 seconds perhaps) it just reboots. Sometimes the reboot is quick, but often it takes quite some time. One can see the Apple logo, with the little sun thingy turning on top of it and it beeps like if the iPad went mad.
    Obviously, I tried to restore the iPad from iTunes, but except from taking hours to do so (transferring all the pictures), it does not change anything. I also tried to switch off and on again by holding the power button for a while and slide), etc.
    My guess (but this is just a hunch) the pictures transformation in order to fit in the iPad went wrong somewhere. I would like iTunes to start all over again, but I don't know where to indicate it. I saw folders named "iPod Photo Cache" in both ~/Pictures and +~/Pictures/iPhoto Library+ folders. Should I erase them? Only one? Is there something in iTunes to do that again?
    Any help welcome.
    Best regards,
    Peter
    P.S.: I upgraded to iTunes 10 and that did not change anything either.

  • Photo app keeps crashing when I try to delete a picture.

    I have an iPad Mini 16GB WiFi and I have no memory left and when I try to delete a picture the Photo App crashes, I've tried Rebooting my device several times. Do you know what I could do?

    i think.... It is crashing because it has no memory to move around.  suggest - resync with your 'puter.  on the photos tab, do not reload (sync0 a bunch of the existing photos, and deal with them - deleting or otherwise - on you computer.
    Otherwise - you have no option but to remove stuff from the pad  - music, apps, videos etc to give you enough space to move.

  • Why does my Photos App keep crashing?

    I have a 4G Ipod Touch. 4 or 5 days ago I went to upload a picture to my facebook using the Facebook App, and when I clicked upload from library, the app crashed. I tried it again, and it crashed again. I then closed out of my Facebook App and tried opening my Photos App (The one that comes pre-loaded) and I can get to the albums, which shows Photo Stream or Camera Roll, and when I click on one or the other, the app crashes. I've tried restarting my ipod, didn't work. I just restored my ipod, and it didn't work either. This is really frusterating me, can anyone help please?

    Go over to the Facebook support site and report the problem there.
