IOS 7.1.1 upgrade not compatible with Lexus?

My Lexus dealership has informed me that the new ios 7.1.1 software upgrade is not compatible with their vehicle software?
When does Apple expect to have this corrected?

I have contacted the Lexus dealership and they informed me that since the 7.1.1 upgrade they have encountered many phone calls regarding this issue.
They tell me that Apple must revise their software in order for this to work properly.

  • Why in the world can I not update apps in iPod tough FOUTH gen on iOS 6, as it is not compatible with iOS 7...very very aggravating

Having some issues with iPod after the new iOS 7 update that is unavailable for the 4th gen iPod touch. This new iOS has only been out for a day and is appearing to already be creating issues on older devices.

I am having issues too. Sometimes it shows I have 8 updates in the app store. *On Tuesday, I had alert buttons for 3 apps.* Then when I tried to install, it fiddled and hung. Next time I accessed it would show no updates available. At times it shows a list with every app I have ever downloaded (including ones I deleted ages ago) Does this mean no further updates for any app will be available on 4th generation iPod Touch machines? When I log into iTunes (running version 10.7.0.21) it says no updates available. Our family has a 3rd gen and two 4th gen iPod Touches. I'm afraid to update iTunes itself because it seems like every other one makes the older models hard to recognize for sync/backup functions.
I apologize if this should have been a new thread on its own.

  • OS 10.6.8 upgrade not compatible with Canon iR8070 copier print engine

Upgraded my Intel iMac to OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, finally. I am networked to a Canon iR8070 printer/copier and everytime I print to this machine I pauses the job. Canon says that they no longer support this OS and I was wondering if anyone has found a workaround, generic print engine that may work so I don't have to pdf the file and take it to another printer to print?

Check out Gutenberg Printer drivers. You can find info at:

I wanted to install iBooks on my iPhone 3. The new version, released sep 19th 2012 requires iOs 4.3 which is not compatible with the iPhone 3g. Have I any solution to install a previous version of iBooks?

  • Is iPhone 5 IOS6 compatible with Lexus RX350?

I recently purchased and received iPhone 5 with IOS 6.  Immediately paired with Lexus RX350, however 3 days later pairing doesn't work anymore.  Called Apple support and learned that problem is at Lexus side.  Visited JM Lexus dealership in Margate, Florida, and learned that problem is with Apple in that Apple hasn't yet provided Lexus with software upgrade/firmware or whatever else is needed.  When I asked for a timetable, Lexus service technicians continue to advise that Apple hasn't returned any phone calls.  At this time, Lexus will be publishing a report stating that iPhone 5 is not compatible with Lexus RX350.  This isn't good.  As much as I like iPhone, I am unwilling to keep the iPhone and buy a new vehicle.  Within about 3 days, my 14 day trial period expires.  As of this date, no one at Apple has provided any information to JM Lexus about fixing the problem.  Unless I hear something within the next 3 days, I'll be forced to replace iPhone 5 with another manufacturer's phone, one that is compatible with Lexus Bluetooth.
Any and all help is very much appreciated.

    TallGlenn,
I wanted you to know that I am the Lexus Technology Specialist at a Lexus dealership on the other coast of Florida and the RX350 does in fact work with the iPhone 5.  I actually own an iPhone 5 and have had no issues pairing my phone, transfering contacts, and playing music and even using the Lexus Enform App Suite. It is a shame that they are telling you that the car is fine and the phone is the not working piece.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT4972 After upgrading iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1 getting the error "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored" HELP!

I attempted to upgrade my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1. I selected 'back up' from the phone in the device menu and iTunes confirmed that the phone had been backed up. I then installed iOS 5.1.1 which wiped everything on the phone & now I am getting the error "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored".
I have tried restoring factory settings but iTunes simply will not restore from back up & I'm not sure what else to do!
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have the same issue and I KNOW my backup IS good. What happen is when you try to restore your phone apple says something like can I check for new updates and if you choose no, it just takes you back to the restore screen and a loop from then on.  If you dont update from you phone then when you back up you will have the 5.0.1 back up and then when you update to 5.1.1 and then try to restore the backup from 5.0.1 it say it EITHER corrupt or incompatible.. It is incompatible and its hard as **** to restore back to 5.0.1. I followed the restore to a T and still getting errors. I lost all text history and have to reset up email. All just because I wanted a 1.2 Gigs of "other" space back.

  • After upgrading to iOs 5.1 the AV composite cable don't work, appear a message: the device is not compatible with iPad2, anyone else had this problem or have a solution for it?

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.
If that does not work, restore the iPad to the factory settings.

  • HT1349 I need to restore back to 1.0 on my Nano as iTunes upgraded automatically to 1.2 and it's not compatible with my car device. Where can i download the ispw and ispw.signature files for 1.0 ?

I don't think it's possible if you are stuck in recovery mode but I may be wrong...
Since your device qualifies for iOS 8(.1), that is the version that will be downloaded/restored to the iPad.
I do know that you can restore your iPad (from backup & as new) and keep the same iOS version if you restore using the iPad itself under Settings/Reset/Erase All Content and Settings but since you can't access this because your stuck in recovery mode, the point is moot.
Have you tried downloading the update in the middle of the night (2 am or so) where dropouts are much less likely to occur?
It's always possible to take your device in to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar reservation first) and do the iOS update there in the Apple Store.. I'm sure they will gladly help you out with it and not charge you a thing. The trouble with that would be if you don't have an Apple Store nearby.
Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.

  • Why are we being pushed to upgrade to iOS 8 when it isn't compatible with Maverick?

Why are we being pushed to upgrade to iOS 8 when it isn't compatible with Maverick? I just tried to open an iCloud document after upgrading to iOS 8 in all my Apple smart devices and OSX 10.9.5 on my MacBook Pro, only to be told that the new iCloud isn't compatible with Maverick and that I should upgrade to Yosemite. Problem is, Yosemite is only available as a Beta and won't have a public release until Oct. 21. Why would Apple cut its users off from iCloud like this?

Checking with my better half, I'm now even more perturbed. According the the iCloud Drive FAQ, it's compatible with PCs running Windows 7. The current Windows OS is 8, which means Apple made iCloud backwardly compatible with Windows, for PC users, but not for its own customers. That *****.
iTunes customers are Apple customers, what are you going on about?

iPod 4,1 will not update to iOS 7. I updated my iMac to 10.9.1 (maverick). Latest Numbers version on iMac is not compatible with Numbers on iPod. Ideas? Can I go back a version with Numbers? I downloaded old version of Numbers 2.0.1 from DVD but with both versions the 2.0.1 will not open.  So both versions are present but only the new version functions. I tried to drag the new version to the trash but the old version still runs error message and will not open. I did not try to restart with the new version in the trash.

    Maybe. See:

  • I need to silently upgrade from 3.5 to 7 but get an error message after 7 install. Platform version 7.0 is not compatible with minVersion = 1.9.1

I'm trying to silently upgrade my environment to FF 7. I've gotten the silent install working great, it puts in my Proxy Server info, reassigns the home page and all that. But, the last version we pushed out was FF 3.5. If a user had that on their PC and they run the FF7 install, they get weird messages when clicking on the icon.
XULRunner: Error: Platform version '7.0' is not compatible with minVersion >= 1.9.1 maxVersion <=1.9.1
    Another message they get is:

Do you have other virtualization or security software that might protect .ini and possibly other files in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) and prevent Firefox from updating them properly?
You need to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 7.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Font Book "not compatible" with 10.9 after upgrade from 10.7

I upgraded from os x 10.7 to 10.9 on my iMac and now my font book won't open. I keep getting a message that says my version of font book is not compatible with 10.9. Is there a way to reinstall font book?

    No,
You should download and install the 10.9.4 combo update. OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update (Combo)
As with any system upgrade or update it is wise to backup first.

*download the full firefox setup file from getfirefox.com
*uninstall firefox on the machine (but don't chose to delete your custom files & settings in the uninstaller!)
*manually delete all remaining files in the firefox program folder, which usually resides in ''C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\''

You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

  • After upgrading to 10.0.2 I get "Error:Platform version 9.0.1 not compatible with 10.0.2" and I have to reinstall ver 9

I'm, running WinXP Sp3. I downloaded 10.0.2 and installed it as an upgrade as I have done successfully with all other new versions. It installs, but when it tries to load I get the following error: Platform version '9.0.1' is not compatible with minVersion >= 10.0.2, maxVersion <=10.0.2. I then have to run Win Uninstall, and then reinstall 9.0.1 to be able to get back online.

If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then disable Virtualization and reinstall Firefox.
