IOS 7.1: Recovery Screen Stuck

So today I decided to install iOS 7.1 using Software Update on my iPhone 5.
I just put my iPhone down for an hour or so and when I came back my iPhone was stuck on the Recovery Screen.
I tried to get out of Recovery Mode but I just couldn't find a way to fix it.
I haven't backed up my data in like a year and I really can't afford to lose the data on my mobile for important reasons.
Is there a way I can back up my data or get out of Recovery Mode?
Thanks in Advance, Arthur.

Hi, same problem here.
if you have iCloud backup activated, there is a chance that you can recover your iPhone to a recent state.

If you have another iOS device under the same iCloud account, you can check the backup status of all your devices at Settings-iCloud-backups

  • IPad Air stuck in recovery screen after update. No reset possible

      Hello everyone,
I have searched the community for an answer but nothing fits really.
There are some threads regarding problems with the update to iOS 8.1 and screens stuck in recovery mode, but none of the suggested solutions work for me and I am really becoming desperate.
First of all, I backed up my iPad through iTunes (I have a PC).
Then I tried to update my iPad to IOS 8.1 through iTunes. During the update the message "an error has occured (3014)" appeared. I was prompted to set my iPad to recovery mode. So I clicked the butoon for this and after it was supposedly finished, the message "an error has occured (3014)" appeared.
So, i cannot update nor rest my iPad and the screen is stuck in "connected to iTunes" screen. I tried every possible reset (soft and hard) with no avail. I haven't used any thrird party software like tiny umbrella nor is my iPad jailbreaked or somesuch.
    Please help me
    Thanks in advance
    Luke

Connect your device to your computer, you will probably have to reset it there. You could then update it using your computer then try syncing everything back on to your device.

hey .. i install the ios 6 and it's stuck in the recovery mode ? what should i do ...?

The iPad is stuck at a restarting loop. The apple symbol pops up then dissappears after a little while then comes back on. I have let the ipad run out of battery, then plugged it in and now it just shows either the apple logo then black screen or just shows me that ipad battery is low connect to charger.

  • My iPhone 5s on ios 8.1.2 is stuck at Apple logo or recovery mode.. To fix this issue, i need to update it to ios 8.2 through itunes.. I want to ask that my data i.e. Photos and other personal data would be removed after updating it or not..?

if yes then how can i save my data or get out of recovery mode.. Is there any safe mode or something like that on which i could access my data..
P.S. I have not taken any backup of my iPhone on itunes..
Please help me sort out this issue..

Recovery mode doesn't mean that all your data is already lost. You only lose your data if you restore it.
When you plug the phone is into iTunes hold down the home button. iTunes may then give you the option JUST to update the software first. This should not get rid of any data.
However, if iTunes is only giving you the option to RESTORE and update, then you will lose your data I'm afraid.
    Hope that helps!

  • After attempting to update to ios 7, my iphone is stuck in recovery mode and will not connect to the itunes software server.

After attempting to update to ios 7, my iphone is stuck in recovery mode and will not connect to the itunes software server.  I have already tried the resetting with power swich and home button and plugging into computer but it says the "iPhone software update server cannot be contacted."  I am locked out of my phone.  Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue and get the phone working again.  I will add that I am now trying to restore it on a different computer with a lower version of itunes, but the computer that it initially happened on had the updated itunes and gave me the same result ... nothing.  Thanks for your help in advance.

Try going to recovery mode as described here.  You may have to try this more than once to succeed.
Use the original iTunes that the iPhone synced with.

  • My iphone is stuck on ios 6 as the screen, it wont update or anything what do i do?

my phone is stuck on ios 6 as the screen and im trying to update and trying to restore but it wont work . what do i do ?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Screen stuck on gray, used shift key and my screen appears with MacBook Pro and not the recovery option. Please help

Screen stuck on gray, used shift key and my screen appears with MacBook Pro and not the recovery option. Please help!

    Hi ..
Shift key boots into Safe Mode, not Recovery.
This only works on a Mac running v10.7 Lion or later.
Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to repair the startup disk and restore OS X using OS X Recovery
If you can't boot into Recovery Mode, help here >   Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup

  • IPod stuck on recovery screen?

I tried recovering my iPod and I ended up with an error. My iPod is nw stuck on the recovery screen and im panicking. My home button work so the traditional method doesn't work. I am using a 4g on 6.1.6. It won't show up on iTunes either and its on the latest version, too. Should I just wait for the battery to die or what?

    Configure your security software
    Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.

  • Fresh install stuck on internet recovery screen

Wiped main drive and secondary drive clean for new user and fresh osx install.  Went back to main screen to start osx install and now it says error temporarily unavailable  So I shut down and now can't get past internet recovery screen and it won't recognize our wifi .  What do I do to get the fresh install completed for the new user?  The computer is a 2010 MacBook Pro.  I have read that maybe there is no recovery partition available since the drives were all cleared and I didn't realize I needed to leave anything on the discs.
i do have another mac that already has mavericks but would the usb method work to get past the internet recovery screen?
also, how do I know if I did the data wipe and reinstall correctly?

Did you boot using command - R (Recovery Volume) or command - option/alt -R (Internet Recovery)?
Did you do the update to allow Internet Recovery?

  • Stuck on recovery screen

    Hi.
Last week I turned my Ipod off, and when I tried to turn it on I had this recovery screen (USB cable pointing an ITunes logo).
I tried everything the net had to offer - from cold resets, and connecting the Ipod while pressing the Home button, to DFU mode, but it keeps showing this scren. The Itunes, however doesn't seem to identify my Ipod, and even when the Ipod is connected to the PC, the Itunes doesn't see it.
I have never jailbroke my Ipod, or tried anything like that. I liked my Ipod the original way it was.
    anything?

  • Iphone 3GS won't hold a charge, won't leave the recovery screen and the screen itself is very dim. Is there an easy way to fix this?

I left my phone out in the rain and it got wet, the water got inside the phone and you could visibly see water in the screen. Inside the phone the hardware was a little wet but not soaking. None of the water dectors have been tripped. I have to leave my iphone plugged in otherwise it won't turn on. When it is turned on I can barely see anything other than the recovery screen. On top of that, when I try to restore iOS 6.1.2  I get "unknown error code (1611)." The battery is proberly dead right?
