IOS 7 Calendar colours only appear in grey in Month View on iPhone 5

Why are Calendar colours in month view on iPhone 5 only in grey? They just appear as small grey dots underneath the date number. This is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. I am so disappointed with the iOS 7 upgrade.

IOS 7 Calendar on iPad I cannot go from month view to day view. When I tap on the day of the month nothing happens.

I use to be able to look at my month in the month view and when I wanted to make an appointment for a specific day I just tapped that day and it would open up the day and I could add my appointment to the time slot I wanted. Now when I am in month view and I tap on the day I want to make an appointment it does nothing. If I hold my finger on the day it creates an All Day event which is not what I want to do and even if I add a start time to the event, I don't know what times I have available on that day because the Day view hasn't opened. This is extremely frustrating. On my iphone it works properly...I can go from month view to day view by tapping on the day I want to view. Why can't I do this on my iPad?? If I could go back to ios 6 I would, calendar is not impressive at all!!
Please help with any suggestions or PLEASE APPLE.....FIX THIS!!!

I just tested, and this unfortunately still seems to be a bug in the latest iOS 7.1 release of the Calendar on the iPad, which is too bad since the release notes suggest that this iOS update included both bug fixes and enhancements to the Calendar.
To my knowledge the bug has never been an issue on the iPhone version of the Calendar which behaves exactly as you would expect it should.
It seems inconcievable given the obvious broken-ness of the current behavior coupled with what I would expect is a massive number of people who use the Calendar on the iPad, but is it possible that this bug isn't on Apple's radar?
I'm happy to submit a bug report; does anyone know offhand the process for how the public can report bugs?
This has been persistent in the product for nearly six months; it's well overdue that this bug be squashed.

If I have two appointments at the same time, they overlap in the iOS 7 calendar rather then appearing side-by-side so that I can't read one of them due to the identical colors of the two appointments. Is there any way to fix this with a setting?

I fyou have "all day" event that are taking up the entire day, check the event. All day event only appear at the top of the time line (and just below the week view). I suspect they are not actually set up as all day, but have specific time frames assigned.
In teh screen shot below, "Sample" is an all day event; NFL: CAR@SF is not.

I have done exactly as you say, but it does not work for me.
You indicated " Navigate to the info tab and scroll down. There'll be a check box for 'sync over wifi' or something to that effect. Check that box and sync to affirm your choice."
I navigated to Summary tab (not Info Tab) and checked "Sync with this ipad over Wi-Fi"
I disconnect the wire,
and my iPad disappears from my iTunes screen.
in my iPad ->Settings -> General -> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync -> says " Sync will resume when (my PC) is available.
So, I can not sync via wi-fi

After upgrading to iOS 7, calendars that I subscribe to do not update on my iPhone 5. The new events show up in iCal on my MacBook Pro, but do not appear on my iPhone in Calendars. A specific example is that I subscribe to the Pittsburgh Pirates MLB calendar, which updates the post season schedule in iCal. None of these updates show up on the iPhone.
Is there a trick/update to get this fixed?

So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are having issue with your iPhone 3GS. You are definitely taking the correct steps, as you'll want to restore the iPhone in recovery mode. For information on doing so, see this article:

Only 5 events show in month view?

hi
how come only up to five all day events show up in month view on certain days?
that cannot be right, can it??
i have checked pref's etc and cannot fix this.i get the events, then just an elipse/dots for the other events on that day.
when are they going to get iCal right? google calendar seems to do everything, why not ical??

I deleted all entries and resynced. Works fine now. And I found a ghost entry that is only vissible on the iPhone not anywhere else. That one might have been the problem.

IPad calendar won't open march 2013 in month view; just this one specific issue, everything else works fine. I've reset to factory but it still happens.

New iPad, not been fiddled with in any way. When I use calendar, everything is fine except when I try to view march 2013 in month view, whether by switching to "month" from a march day view, or by moving from another month already in month view.
The application just closes down. No issues with data loss. No issues with same calendar data on my mac or iPhone.
I've reset to factory setting and restored but it persists.

The workaround for this is to remove any all day events from April 1 or change from all day to something other than all day event.
The update to iOS 6.1 is supposed to have fixed the bug according to some of those that have posted today.

How to increase calendar boxes to show all appointments in Monthly View

We have a busy family schedule and like to print a traditional calendar with appointments to put on frig. In the "monthly" view, is there a way to enlarge date boxes in order to see all entries rather than the "+3 more" etc. At the least, I could do a screen shot, crop and print as a word doc. Thanks for any help!

This is exactly what's happening to me. I've been able to recreate this on a Touch also with OS4. It's not occuring on OS3. I've only been able to recreate the problem on July 30th and August 1st calendar dates for some reason. It may be happening on other dates also but I havn't been able to find any.
To recreate the problem go into day view on the calendar. Go to August 1st and create a calendar entry. Then touch the left arrow to go back a day then touch the right arrow to return to august 1st and your entry is invisible. It's still there because if you go forward a day then go back a day it shows.
I've been using list view only now to avoid missing these invisible entries.

Calendar has started crashing when switching to month view?

I have an iPad with iOS 7.1.1. This morning the calender started crashing every time I went to the month view. It is fine in day view. Stranly, Planner Plus app is doing the same thing? It seems something that both apps use is causing it to crash. Has anyone seen this or have advice.
I am an Apple newbie. I have had my iPad for six months and my iPhone for two. I am still finding my way around the system.

James, I am not sure what you mean by signing in and out of those accounts? The Calendar cannot be deleted and reinstalled. I haven't tried to delete the Planner Plus one yet. I have a lot of notes in it that I really don't want to lose.
I have talked with Apple and after trying a reset, they want me to wipe the pad clean. This will be the second time in the six months that I have had the iPad. I find it more than a bit frustrating when, I can't even just back up the data to my computer and reinstall it. I have done a backup in iTunes but, as I understand it, iTunes did not back up the 20 gbs of data, music, photos, and pdfs which are installed on the iPad through 3rd party apps like Bongiovi, Good Reader, and Docs to Go.
At the moment, I am sorry I bought into Apple's BS. At least when Windows crashed, I had a full backup I could install. I don't recall these issues with my Android pad either. My experience with Apple so far has been mostly a PITA.

HT4910 ios 7 Calendar Colours Changing

Help! Since I moved up to ios 7.0.2 my calendars (on ipad mini, iphone 4 and icloud on PC) keep changing willfully. When I edit to change them back, it appears to work then they revert again. I use colour coding to know where I should be and when so this is extremely problematic for me. I have searched all over but cannot find any information addressing this.

If you look to the right of this thread you will see "More Like This". You are not alone. Folks who have contacted Apple have indicated that Apple is aware of this problem, and it is related to some iCloud updating they are doing. It is supposed to be fixed any time now....

Calendar new event appear twice in the week view

Sun Java(tm) System Calendar Server 6.3-20.01 (built Oct 23 2009).
Sun Java(TM) System Communications Express 6.3 update 1 , with patch
I create an event within the calendar server week view an the event appear duplicated in this view. The the same event can be viewed within the month, events and day view as one. This is happening within the UWC interface. Is this a bug? does someone has seen this before?

IOS 7 calendar

Aside from sending a complaint to Apple, what can be done to convince the designers of the iOS 7 calendar to return to the more efficient month calendar view?!!!!! I can no longer, in one glance at the month view, get any information. Just those dots! Makes no sense and baffled how someone didn't ask the question, why would we make something LESS efficient? I depend solely on that month view to plan events. Now, I have to go to EACH day view, see only part of the day at a time, or switch to the list view, etc., etc. It's so painful. We are a family of 5 iPhones, MacBook Pro, iMac, and iPad. I'm losing trust in Apple and although I've never had anything but their products, I may be drawn to the other side by my brother who works for Microsoft. (No mention of battery life issues either...!). Please fix this someone out there!

Thanks for the responses about apps. Just stubborn of me, I guess I believe I shouldn't need an app to correct a now less efficient calendar. And I don't know about anyone else, but the battery life is terrible - and then I'm using another app. I have gone everywhere online to address that issue; no luck.

Iphone calendar events only visible in list view

Rant first: I do wish Apple would stop breaking things. Every time we get an ios or itunes upgrade something else stops working. Don't they test the changes?
OK problem: Yesterday I did the the latest upgrade to itunes (11.2 1.4) and a sync to my phone. Today I stopped being able to see most Calendar appointments and events in day view. At first I would see them for a half second or so before they would disappear so I knew they were on the phone. Nw however they don't show up in day view at all. Kind of defeats the purpose of having them on my phone.
The appointments are still visible on iCal and Outlook and the Calendars are the all ticked.
In month view I could see the dots that indicated the events were there but again that does not allow me to see them.
In list view: I was unable at first to see the appointments: but then a whole lot of "new Events' appeared at the times of the appointments that were there before I did the sync but with none of the detaisl that make the events useful.
Any thoughts on how to fix?

Create a CSV with the same format as you post and import it into My default Calendar. The calendar entry is visible both in Calendar view and List view.
I've notice your Start Data/End Date is 3/7/2010 but not in 3/7/2014, you need to turn the calendar page to a 4-year-ago to check that..
(In my test, I'v changed the data to 2014)
