IOS 7 calendar

Aside from sending a complaint to Apple, what can be done to convince the designers of the iOS 7 calendar to return to the more efficient month calendar view?!!!!! I can no longer, in one glance at the month view, get any information. Just those dots! Makes no sense and baffled how someone didn't ask the question, why would we make something LESS efficient? I depend solely on that month view to plan events. Now, I have to go to EACH day view, see only part of the day at a time, or switch to the list view, etc., etc. It's so painful. We are a family of 5 iPhones, MacBook Pro, iMac, and iPad. I'm losing trust in Apple and although I've never had anything but their products, I may be drawn to the other side by my brother who works for Microsoft. (No mention of battery life issues either...!). Please fix this someone out there!

Thanks for the responses about apps. Just stubborn of me, I guess I believe I shouldn't need an app to correct a now less efficient calendar. And I don't know about anyone else, but the battery life is terrible - and then I'm using another app. I have gone everywhere online to address that issue; no luck.

iOS 7 Calendar does not show appointments imported as VCS files in Microsoft Outlook / Exchange in Windows 7. I discovered this when downloading itinerary.vcs files from Delta to mark flights in my calendar. The work around I found is as follows:
Open the VCS file, this will create a Calendar entry in your Outlook,
Open the created Outlook Calendar entry, go to File -> Save As and then select to save as ICS file.
Delete original VCS-created appointment in your calendar to avoid multiple calendar.
Open the re-saved ICS file.
Appointment will now correctly synchronize with your iPhone iOS 7 calendar.
If anyone has better alternatives to this process, please help out. Hopefully, Apple will fix this with the next iOS update.

I can't get my iOS 7 calendar to respond to any commands... it opens, but everything is greyed out (i can navigate the app, but I can't execute anything). My iCloud is working perfectly, and it syncs with my macbook pro, but my iPhone 4 calendar will not sync or allow me to create new events. I can however sync successfully with third party apps like the sunrise calendar app for my iPhone. My contacts and safari are also syncing just fine.
Believe it or not, I do want to be able to use the default calendar app. I have tried all the usual solutions in the message boards, and nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a solution?

No one is else is havinv this problem? I'm shocked that no one has replied, not even from Apple. I am still having this problem and am missing important emails in a timely fashion. I am not getting emails that were sent 5 hours ago. THere is something wrong here. If anyone has any inkling of an idea, it would be much appreciated.

I had the same problem until this moring. Using Google, go to the black bar (+you, search, images, more) and hit +you. That should activate the Plus key. Hope it works with your ipad, too.

IOS 7 Calendar Lag

When creating an event in iOS 7 calendar, the event editing box has a really choppy scroll animation (or whatever it is). However, if my iPad switches to landscape/ switches to landscape and back to portrait view, the scroll lag goes away. Any solutions that eliminate having to switch views?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

IOS 7 calendar all day events

Along with the other strange things in ios 7 calendar the notification "bug" is still confusing me.
As I work a set of 5 shifts on I input this into my calendar as an all day event commencing on my first day and finishing on the 5th. In iOS6 this worked fine and the notification showed correctly throughout the period. However in iOS7 notifications it doesnt. The first day doesnt showed as previously reported on this and many other forums but now I am on day 2 of a 5 day all day event and the notifications screen says I have no upcoming events.
Unless I am missing something this is absolutely stupid and effectively renders my calendar useless. Does anybody have an idea on what to do because this along with other weird things in ios7 is swaying me away from Apple.
I cant find a 3rd party app that will sync either on all my devices, ipad, iphone and Mac.

IOS 7 Calendar and Slow Animations

Are the two biggest fail on iOS 7.
Slow animations:
-opening folders
-locking phone
-unlockng phone
-closing folders
-search bar
-swiping left and right has to be very accurate now because of the swipe down for search engine

Why am I restricted to this view? I want to be able to view the entire calendar so I can see what's head and plan for it like the simplistic version of iOS 6 calendar. They completed blotched this calendar.

Agreed. The animations make me dizzy and hurt my eyes, also makes the iphone laggy and sluggish. The new Calendar app now is unusable for me, all of my shared calendars are overlapping each other and make it almost impossible to understand at a quick glance - please bring back the old month view and list view.

Ios 7 calendar list view only go back 12 months, how can I sync all my past events

My iphone 5 ios 7 calendar only shows events for past 12 months (ios 6 could show events from the beginning, about 6 years). I uninstalled and reinstalled itune and related Apple program, also disable add ons in outlook 2007, where calendar and contacts stored. Now the calendar shows all my past events after I reset sync history in itune but calendar list still only shows past 12 months. Even the search won't bring any thing that is older than 12 months.
I really really miss my old calendar, so frustrated with ios7, can anyone help me? Did I do anything wrong or missed anything?

Ios 7 calendar browsing problem

When searching iOS 7 calendar when i try find some event and click on it calendar sometimes redirect to some other event.

Close the calendar app and reboot the iPad and see if that fixes it.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Calendar app, then swipe "up" on the calendar app thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

IOS 7 Calendar worsening

In iOS 7 Calendar I miss a satisfactory month view. On 6 version you could see the month and a brief but useful summary of the various days tasks. It was so useful for me. And now.... There isn't it anymore. On month view you get only the dots, and it is a poor info!
Furthermore, in day view you can see only a portion of the day, so you have to go up and down to explore the whole day. Not good!. It would be very useful a zoom out function

I HATE the fact that a new month starts on its own row now. It wants to trick me to think there's an extra week every time, and I'll have to think about it. It's unnecessary waste of brain cells. I thought I could get used to it. Not so far. Bring the old way back or allow for a setting to toggle it.
Day view is such a flat lifeless design now, that it's useless to me.

IOS 7 calendar bugs

iOS 7 calendar on iPhone is not showing notifications for today or scheduled events for tomorrow. Is anyone experiencing this problem?

Bug in monthly view.
If I'm viewing the current month, all is fine. (So far for Sep and Oct). The top left hand corner labels the current month correctly and in bold. Eg. October 2013. I'll call this the (monthly) Label.
But if I scroll forward to view future months, the Label displays the month incorrectly, lagging by a month.
For example. I'm viewing the whole of January's calendar but the label would still be December.
I have to scroll till January is almost out of view ( and Feb coming into view) before the label indicates January. By then, the little 'Feb' in 'Feb 1' has disappeared.
And I would see Feb dates indicated as January.
This issue is unstable. When I first got to ios 7, the labeling issue was apparently from viewing the current month.
Now, it seems to behave for the current and next month before it goes haywire again.
So please do scroll to many months ahead to check if you have this bug.

IOS 7 Calendar List View on main page

Hi Apple,
The main reason for me to take an Iphone was the calendar and all the sync around it.
Now on IOS 7 Calendar you have remove one of the most important feature for me.
When we are on the calendar we don't have the list at the bottom.
This feature was the reason for me to take an Iphone 5...
Please apple, tell me that it's just a missing feature... I don't want to spent 5$ for an other calendar app !

Yes I know bu it's not the feature that I talking about I miss that view of the calendar :
So, have the full calendar of the month with the event associated to a day at the bottom.

How to get calendar travel time (set up in Mavericks) to show on iOS 7 calendar?

I was wondering how to get calendar travel time (set up in Mavericks) to show on iOS 7 calendar? If I change a location in mavericaks it is updated in my iOS 7 calendar, but if I add travel time to an appointment, that does not show up on my iphone. This seems like a big miss for apple if this is the case. I could maybe understand not adding the ability to add travel time in iOS 7, but not being able to see the travel times you set up seems very incomplete. Any ideas or insight?

I don't believe the table changed when migrating from Access. I had two tables before the migration, one was for the SwitchBoard Manager and the other table was for the database table. I used the Switchboard to navigate to different menus, such
as the Main Form, Power Form, Server Form, etc. Let me know if I can provide any other information to help you narrow this down for me.
