IOS 7 call failing

updated my iphone 5 to ios7 and now i cant receive or make calls. When someone tries to ring me it says no connection to this number and then goes straight to voicemail. I cant internally call orange either for help.

It sounds like you are are getting a message saying that the call failed, when the person you are talking to hangs up. I have a few things to recommend here. First close all the open apps:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test it out again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If that does not resolve it, try resetting your network settings:
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords

I have the problem of calls getting failed.. Black Iphone 4S 16gb IOS 6.1.3. O2 Network. Airtel India. I have full bars of signal but cannot make calls. Goes to "No service" then to "searching". I constantly get "Call Failed" when making calls.

Try settings/general/reset/reset network settings. If that does not do it then contact your carrier

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)

3gs iOS 6.1.2 call failed - after software upgrade

After the upgrade, i can receive calls, connect to wireless, send texts and play sounds, but cannot make calls.
"Call Failed" is the msg i get wthin a second of dialling.
The signal strength is excellent and since i have tried calling several phones (land and mobiles, with different providers/carriers) within my home, I know they are not busy and it cannot be a network problem.
Any suggestions?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I have a brand new iphone 4s unlocked version from singapore and I am experiencing constant network fluctuations on my iphone , no service, call failed, invalid sim, sim failure, bars fluctuating from 5 - 3 - 2 - 1, no signal/bars searching etc... Ifeel miserable after trying out all the options changed multiple sims, tried multiple carriers, restored the phone back and have set-up as new device but the problem does not get solved... its is so frustrating that after investing on a world's most expensive phone you cannot enjoy the calling features which the phone offers which is the main thing you own the phone for.. Rest of the things are working.. The funniest part I am not able to make calls or receive calls but can access the internet.. I have tried every possible thing and really very frustrated with this iphone of mine...I hope the problem gets solved.. would anyone have any solutions to this problem.. Does it mean one should never update software as I hear that after updating to IOS.5.1 the problem has started coming and same has been with there.... Apple says its a hardware failure which is very difficult to digest as sometimes I get 5 bars and able to make and receive calls but 95% of the time I am unable to. Many thanks. its so disgusting to experience this on top of this apple does not support global warranty for the phone as you need to go to the country from where you bought the phone for replacement.. New type of call failed!

guys ,i'm new to this forum ...and i checked around to see if there was a thread to this kind of problem.
first off, its not the usual 3GS problem where the first time it says 'failed' and the second time it 'connects' the call.
mine is an iphone 3G 8gig ios 4.1[jailbroke and unlocked], it says 'call failed' and i can try try and try but it wont connect no matter what i do .
yes, i did try the clock-toggle-thingy and also the toggle-callwaiting-thingy.
i am in an are where the reception is excellent. the sim worked fine on any other handset.
p.s: i had this problem on ios 4.0 too. didnt have it on ios 4.1 till now. and its back again!

"Call Failed" error outside of home area code

I have an iPhone 5 on verizon wireless running IOS 6.1, and everytime I make a call outside of my home area code I get the 'call failed" error. I have Dial Assist turned on. I get the same message with Dial Assist turned off. I am syncing to my corporate Exchange directory if that makes any difference
Anyone else run into this before?

Hi, I'm on iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 . Recently I've been experiencing this problem of doing outgoing calls. It keeps on having this "CALL FAILED" error. Previously it sometimes came but went back normal after an hour and I thought It might be caused by my network carrier . But its been 4 days now. Do take note that Im still be able to receive all incoming calls, SMS, Apps Messaging as well internet surfing & others. Pls guys help me to resolve this issue. Tq.

VOIP call Failed (Error Code 15) in Prime Event log.

I'm seeing the following events in Prime Infrastructure related to Cisco 7925 phones.
VOIP Call Failed for "(Error Code 15) occurred on client "xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx' which was associated to AP <APName> on interface 802.11b/g.
I can't seem to find where this error code 15 is defined. The closest I was able to find was error code 15 under gatekeeper codes in the following document which may or may not be relavent.

It had 18Mbps set as the min phy rate. I also think it has to do with CAC issues at 18Mbps that are pretty well noted and differeing mandatory rates across the 802.11b/g/n and 802.11a/n networks on the controller. When the phone would roam onto a radio with 18Mbps was the min mandatory rate, it would drop and give this error.

Connection issues, Call failed

Whenever i try to call someone, skype doesnt ring. Its not an audio problem the call itself doesnt connect to any contact except one that i share a lan type connection with. I can receive calls but i cannot send calls. I'm not sure what else it could be.

Are you both using the latest 7.0 version of Skype?
Is the contact you are calling online?
Which platform (Android, iOS, Mac, Windows...) and Skype version does remote side have?
Can you please reproduce the issue and provide logs as described in this link https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12321/how-do-i-create-log-files under Skype for Windows Desktop and attach it to your post?

i hav an iPhone 4 Factory Unlocked 16 GB ..
i cannot place call as soon as i call it says Call ended then call failed
i have tried -
Enabling/Disabling 3g
Changing date and time settings
Show my caller id is ON
these methods sometimes solve my problem but aftr the springboard restarts
i get the problem again

I AM HAVING FULL reception strength
wen i place the sim card into another phone it works :/

to be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work..
first thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo
if that doesn't work I would restore from backup and if that doesn't work I would restore as new if all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one..

After update to 5.1 iPhone 4 called failed during calls

So, after I updated to ios 5.1 my iPhone 4 has some problems I never kinda seen before. I own it for more than a year . While at home or any other area, good signal,has a bumper, while speaking with friends I get the Called failed problem. Tried reset network settings, even I restored the firmware ... same . Happens a few times a day..

I am having this same problem. I have an iPhone 4 AT&T, which until today had iOS 5.1. Over the last month or so, I have been either dropping calls, or the person whom I am speaking with can no longer hear me speaking, but I can hear them. AT&T made me upgrade iOs 7, swearing that it would solve the problem. Now I can't complete a call, and have a $100 per month paperweight that looks like Apple should be paying royalties to VTECH as my phone looks like a leapfrog children's toy instead of a phone. AT&T is "looking" for a solution to my area's coverage, which has been perfect for the last 24 months. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Also Apple: If you actually read these, let us choose what the desktop looks like because it looks like a lot of users HATE the new one.

Has Apple said anything about a problem with FaceTime calls failing?

I have tried FaceTime on three different devices, called four different people and every calls fails. Tried the calls on wifi as well as AT&T data...nothing works!!! My kids want to FaceTime with their grandparents...help!!!

It's most likely not a worldwide or even country problem. Apple, like all big companies will host they're services on multiple servers.
