IOS 7 End Call Huge Box hits cheek and hangs up!

The big Red End Call Box in IOS7 is to big and in a bad spot. When I put the phone up to my cheek, the button get hit and hangs up the phone, It's happen numerious times to me.
Why can't it be smaller and in a different location?

I'm afraid I don't understand your reply, AdeetyaVerma. Did you, perchance, mean to type: "Just dial RIGHT"? Either way, your reply makes no sense, nor does it provide any perceivable benefit. Nonetheless, I'm glad that it worked for YOU ;-)
In the interim, however, I've discovered what may turn out to be a solution for this problem. For some reason, iOS7 has rendered the proximity sensor ineffective... or at least LESS effective. While searching for others with similar concerns, I came across a 33 minute video dissertation on the subject. It went into great detail on how to completely disassemble the iPhone 4 to fix the problem. It seems that too much light bleeds into the sensor, thereby negating its ability to properly detect that the phone is held up to the user's face. Apparently this has always been a problem with the iPhone 4, but one that was made more evident with the release of iOS7.
As an alternate, and much less invasive solution, I simply changed my screensaver to a much darker one. This effectively reduces the light being created by the screen and thereby bleeding into the sensor. So far, this seems to work. I'll reply back, if it does not help over the long term.

I cannot End Call (mostly Outgoing) after upgrading to OS 10.2. The receivers phone keeps ringing even after i try to disconnect the call. The "END CALL" option is grayed out and the red led on the top left keeps blinking. This happens very frequently (mostly Outgoing calls). Any thoughts or solutions Thx

From the main screen, swipe down from the top black bezel to Settings > About... what is the OS Version listed there?

  • IPhone not hanging up on "End Call"

This occurs frequently, about 1 out of every 5 calls I make. When I hit the red "End Call," at the conclusion of a conversation, my phone hangs with it reading, "call ending..." It does not ever read the normal "call ended" and will stay that way until the screen dims. I then have to reboot the iPhone and everything works normally on the iPhone until it happens again within a few phone calls.
I am running 1.1.1 (3A109a) and have done nothing peculiar to the iphone. (No 3rd-party apps or jailbreak.)
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this…thanks.

First thing that you should do is update to 1.1.2. Apple fixed many bugs like that in that patch. Normally its something to do with the call line itself, like if you're phoning a Verizon person or a T-moble machine.
Do you end the call or does the other person end the call? Try having the other person end the call and see what happens. Also, ask who their provider is and if that doesn't help call AT&T and see what they say.

  • Iphone 5 doesn't end call and Siri problems. Need help.

I can barely open my screen before it closes and when I hit end call--it doesn't. The screen kicks off and goes black--anyone else experiencing this?
Plus, Siri is acting up and doesn't get the question and the screen goes blank quickly.
I was switched out for a new phone after all the other issues relating to lack of signal and battery drainage. So, I now have a new phone with a complete new install and now this. I have rebooted to the apple screen--nothing seems to be working to solve this.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help make an appointment at an App,e Store to have your iPhone looked at by a service technician.

  • Can't end call on iPhone

At the end of a call my iPhone screen is dark and doesn't always pop back to the call screen so I can hit End Call. Therefore, the call continues on until it disconnects. How do I get back to that screen short of never putting the thing to sleep? Could my Marware glove cover have something to do with this?

Your case is very likely blocking the proximity sensor. Remove the case and see if the problem goes away.

  • How can I merge conference calls and hang up on one of the instead of both on iOS 8.1.1

How can I merge phone Calls and make conference calls with iOS 8.1.1 and hang up on one instead of both of them , it's not giving me an option like before on iOS 7 ?

The following from the 8.1 user manual (http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf) may help
Create a conference call. While on a call, tap Add Call, make another call, then tap Merge Calls. Repeat to add more people to the conference.
Drop one person: Tap  next to a person, then tap End.
Talk privately with one person: Tap , then tap Private next to the person. Tap Merge Calls to resume the conference.
Add an incoming caller: Tap Hold Call + Answer, then tap Merge Calls.

  • Standby prevents ending call

Hair trigger standby makes it difficult to end call. When I try to end a phone call, my iPhone goes into standby so quickly that I cannot end the call. I have to bring it out of standby to end the call and often it goes back into standby so quickly that it again prevents me from ending call. Sometimes I have to bring it out of standby repeatedly to finally end the call.  Is this a bug in the new iOS for iPhone?

That was I thought first too, but remeber that no any 3rd app was running. Moreover at the first time the phone was totally "virign".
Really my porblem is not that the phone app hangs. My problem is that I do not find any function / tool to kill / re-start that task. I must re-start the phone and takes time.
As I have posted earlier I feel myself beta tester of this phone, what is not so big problem becasue I love it much, but at least I should have some tools to pass somehow the stupid problems.

  • My end call button has suddenly stopped working

I am using an iPhone 4 16GB Factory Unlocked.
My end call button has suddenly stopped working. The icons at the bottom of the screen are also accessed randomly.
    i have tried everything recomended.
Updated to the iOS to the latest version 4.3.5. Did a complete reset of the set. rebooted the set several times. But so far nothing seems to work.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are...
Restart...  Reset...  Restore from Backup...  Restore as New...
If you have tried all these and are still having problems, make an appointment at your nearest Apple Store.

  • Sudden "end call" during a call

It regularly happens so that during an answered phone call,
there is a sudden beep (short slighly annoying signal) and
    call ends right afterwards.
If this is due to screen sensitivity -  is there a possibility to change
the screen sensitivity settings or change the way how the "end call"
button work (not by simply pressing, but, say, by some sliding gesture)
p.s. just swapped from iOS to android

    Hi ruslanskalvans,
Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
When you are on a call, does the screen stay on the whole time?
As Uliwooly stated it could be the proximity sensor, you may want to try a diagnostics test.
Menu > Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Proximity sensor.
    Let us know.

  • Cant end call :(

Good afternoon. I bought my iphone 4 about 2 months back and updated to iOS5 about 2 weeks ago. I dunno if it's due to that but since last week, whenever i make a call, i wont hear it ringing and when i end it, it takes AGESS to end that I just click the home button. Also, for some calls like when i need to get in contact with my service provider, i cant press the call button. I went to ask them and the guy pressed "reset all settings" and it gets okay but after a while, its back to the original problem and i keep having to reset it all the time. HELP

Try to reset all Skype settings.
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.
Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.
    Restart Skype.
N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

  • When i try to make a call it automatically goes to end call and back to my contacts

when i try to make a call it automatically goes to end call and back to my contacts

This is a common problem with iPhone 4s (and IOS 5)  There isn't ' anything you can do about it, so you're best bet is to go down to the store and get an exchange. If you have an older iPhone (3gs/4) roll back your update from IOS 5 to IOS 4.

I have had voice mail set up on my phone for 10 years. When I did the last iOS update before 7 I guess it wiped out my voice mail. Can I not set it up myself? I haven't changed my message in years.

Same issue on my wife's iPhone 4S. I suspect it is related to the recent 6.1.2 iOS update (Note: I have a 3S and the update did not cause any issues).
I've tested both bottom and top mics on the 4S using video recorder and both mics work fine. Speakerphone and headset during calls also work fine. The issue is only related to the bottom mic while making calls. I can hear the caller but the caller cannot hear me. If I hold the mic very close to my mouth, the caller can hear a very low level signal.
The problem appears to be software related, not hardware.
