IOS 7 feature request: Option for home button to home not folder. Maybe for some this workflow is good but not for me. To many clicks. At least give the option to have my home button take me to my home page. 9 times out of 10 that's where I want to go. Not back to my folder.

If the new phone has already been setup, make sure the phone and iTunes are both set to the same account.
You might also have to authorize this computer for the new device under the store menu.

Make sure it's charged.
Try to Reset your device:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).

The "On this [device]" tab will only show up if you are in the non-sidebar view of iTunes. In short, if you have the sidebar on the left hand side, you will want to use the disclosure triangle (left of your device name) to view what is on the device.

Option for 'continue to this website (not recommended)' is missing in IE10 when visiting a my https web server page which is local. It is available in IE9. How do I bring it back?
running Windows 8 RTM

I had a similar issue on IE 10 Beta for Windows 7. This fixed the problem
1. Go to "run" -> gpedit.msc
2. Under Computer configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Internet Explorer -> Internet Control Panel
3. Under Prevent ignoring certificate error (set to disable even though it's set to undefined).
Setting this to "disabled" resolved the issue for me, and the 'continue to this website (not recommended)' link reappeared after restarting IE.
Interestingly, I set it back to "Not Configured" and the fix persisted. My wild guess is there is a policy conflict from an older version of IE and resetting this corrected the issue.

Feature Request - Options to Size & Align Type by Cap Height

I have repeated this feature request at least a couple or more times in this forum over the years. It's a pretty fundamental, basic design thing that bears repeating until the feature is incorporated somehow.
From its first version up to now Adobe Illustrator has only sized type according to the height of the Em Square. That's the standard convention for print and doesn't really need to change for print publishing. However the Em square methods are really pretty bad in other areas. Designers need pixel-level control for creating and positioning type on electronic, pixel-based screens. For large format printing, sign design and outdoor advertising designers need to size type by cap height in units of inches, centimeters or pixels when designing for LED variable message center signs.
Adobe Illustrator currently can't even do something as simple as accurately aligning lettering vertically inside of a box. When aligning by way of the Em square the type is never correctly aligned. The fundamentals needed for this have never been present in the application. It really stinks. Designers have to employ all sorts of time-wasting work-arounds to get the type looking correct. This makes basic tasks like button creation far more of a time wasting chore than it should be.
All fonts have built-in values that establish a capital letter height in numerical terms (the units between the base line and M height line). Industry specific sign design software applications like Flexi and Gerber Omega access that font data and allow designers to accurately size, align and position type according to its capital letter height. Adobe Illustrator can and should be able to do the very same thing. Not only that, but Illustrator could let designers size, position and align type in terms of inches, centimeters and pixels.
I'm not sure how this feature should be incorporated. Perhaps it could be something that users can enable in the document setup. Or it could be an optional type palette. Nevertheless, it is a badly needed, very basic feature rooted in the core of Adobe Illustrator's vector object editing purposes.

I'll also add this is a feature that should be carried over into Adobe Photoshop too.
Within Adobe Photoshop if you want to size type in terms of pixels the type is, again, sized according to the Em square. Unless you're setting type at pretty large pixel sizes the rendered type really ends up looking pretty bad. That's because the edge of the baseline and the edge of the cap height line are never aligned to the pixel grid. You end up with type that's fuzzy looking on all sides. If designers were able to tell Photoshop "make this lettering 20 pixels tall according to the capital letters" the lettering would looking a whole lot better. Perfectly crisp edges on the base lines and cap height lines.

Feature Request:- Option to reply to reply to emails in text

Hi there....
Is it possible to set up replying to emails to send text (with no html)
If not, can i get a feature request to send emails in text, or is there an app that has this feature?
It is sad I get maybe between 40 and 100 emails a day, that I cannot reply to on my Touchpad, or Pre 2, as they only allow text email return.
as of 2007, there were over 109 million yahoo group members across 8.8 million groups. Mostly support forums, sending and recieving emails to and from 109 million people.
These support forums and other ghelp yahoo groups, require emails to be received in text, and in our email apps had to set for text only, to avoid viruses and other attempts at marketting.
I get my yahoo support emails, on webos, but cannot reply from webos, and have to wait until i get to my laptop with thunderbird.
please can you add text send/reply option for those 109 million plus yahoo group users who cannot reply to yahoo groups emails.

Managing layered PSD files in Aperture
For those who absolutely must manage layered PSD files in Aperture, here is the way to do it...
1- In your original PSD file, HIDE ALL LAYERS above the background layer
2- IMPORT this PSD file into Aperture
3- CREATE A VERSION in Aperture by choosing to edit externally in Photoshop.
4- Back in Photoshop OPEN THE ORIGINAL PSD file along with the new version
5- LINK all the LAYERS in the original PSD file and DRAG them TO the new VERSION (holding the shift key down so they pin register)
6- SAVE the new version in Photoshop
7- Back in Aperture your version is now an exact layered copy of your original which will not flatten when reopened from Aperture into Photoshop.
Obviously this process will be rather tedious if you need to deal with hundreds of layered PSD files, but if you are in that situation that implies you already have a workflow and a storage strategy that works well for you. So why change, especially to Aperture?
Adobe Bridge or Media Pro or Portfolio are the obvious programs for you !

Feature request - Support for rewire

Obviously a lot of musicians use Flash Media Live Encoder so I was wondering if FMLE supports Rewire (from Propellerhead Software). I am aware Adobe does implement rewire into audition but what about FMLE?
I want to be able to use my audio app plugins and for rewire to appear as an option as the audio source so I can get reverb and effect on my vocals / guitar,
I would think this would be a popular feature going forward.
Is it possible? IF not what are the chances of adding support? Where should I make a feature request if this is not the appropriate place?

Feature Request: Option to Not Autohide Video Controller

Curently, when you enable the built in video controller it will auto-hide when the cursor is not over the movie. I'd like to request you make the autohide feature a checkbox option in the Video properties area and have the video controller stay on the screen as the default behavior. Here's why.
When students come to a sheet with an enbedded video, they have no idea it's a video unless they accidentially move the cursor over the video area. It would be great to have the video controller always visible to let users know there is a video on the sheet, and would save developers some time from having to add instructions on the sheet to play the video. I'd like to remove any/all confusion the students might have in using content built by ROME.

Feature request: option to deactivate builtin screen when monitor connected

This is a feature request for laptops, or rather for the Air specifically. To see why it might be a good thing, see this thread:

I'd like a checkbox in the display preferences to deactivate the internal monitor when an external monitor is plugged in. This would save load on the Air's GPU and reduce heat while using an external monitor.
Users of the regular Macbook might want this as well.

Apple doesn't monitor the forum for feature requests and the like. It's just for user-to-user help.
Also note that this feature already exists: all Mac laptops sold in the past few years, including the MacBook Air, can be run with only an external monitor. It's called closed-lid mode.

If you then want to open the lid to increase cooling, you can. Once the external display is attached, the internal display does not come on automatically when you open it.

I want to hide the 2 radio buttons on the selection screen using the NO-DISPLAY option. when i worked with that its giving an error like 'no-display and radio button group can be specified together'.

IOS 7.1 Upgrade - home button double click not working most of the time

Not sure, if anyone else had encountered this issue after upgrading to iOS7.1.
I am using iPhone5S 32 GB and it was working fine with home button (double click, mostly used to see & close other applications running in background) till I upgraded to iOS7.1. After iOS7.1 upgrade, most of the time, I am unable to see running applications. After trying for 4-5 times, I managed to see running application
Is there any fix or workaround for this issue?

Premiere Pro CC Feature Request: Shortcut for 'Close Other Timeline Panels'

I'm about to post a feature request, but wanted to see if anyone else is interested in this request too. Adobe told me that getting support on the forum first is a good way to push the request through.
Here's the very simple FR:

Keyboard Shortcut for 'Close Other Timeline Panels'
How would you like the feature to work?
It was a great touch to add this contextual menu item to Premiere Pro CC, but it's a little clunky without being able to assign a keyboard shortcut to it.
It's usage would simply close every other Timeline Panel except the active one upon pressing the shortcut.
The default could be something not currently in use like Ctrl+Cmd+W (since CMD+W closes the active panel), but customisable in the Keyboard Shortcuts panel.
Why is this feature important to you?
This is something I have to do very frequently while editing, and since I (and many others) edit largely with the keyboard, a shortcut would be very useful and speed up workflow just a tiny bit.
Anyone else interested in this (admittedly fairly boring) feature request, let me know!

cscooper2013: I totally agree with you, I can't see any reason why any action should be exluded from having a shortcut. I've submitted this simple request because I feel like it's more likely to get done on it's own.
Maybe make a separate FR for that?

Feature request: Support for more than 2 monitors

I currently use an external monitor for my critical editing/evaluation as my iMac display doesn't reproduce reds very well. I understand newer iMacs can support 2 external displays, obviously desktop machines can support as many displays as there are open slots for video cards.
While editing a photo shot in portrait on a monitor set for landscape is not a problem, it would <really> be cool to have two external color-accurate monitors for developing/loupe views, one oriented in portrait, one in landscape, with the third (iMac in this case) showing the develop controls. Even if the two external monitors showed the same image, one would always be fullscreen in the correct orientation.
MacOS and Windows both give the user control over all the displays connected to a given system, so driving a portrait and a landscape monitor simultaneously shouldn't be a problem from an OS/hardware standpoint.
Is this something that can be rolled into LR4?

I use 3 or 4 monitors too, so that's one I'd like to see too. We wouldn't want the request to get lost in beta land, so might I suggest adding the request to the Feature Request forum http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family where it can easily be tracked?
