IOS 7 Feedback

I just noticed that quick posts for facebook and twiter were removed in IOS7. I read somewhere in the net that you have to use SIRI now to tweet something. I don't know how to do that in Facebook though. I also noticed that IOS7 drains the battery much faster on my Iphone 4S. I'll be switching over to the Iphone 5s by next month. Hopefully, by that time I purchase an Iphone 5s IOS 7.1 is already out.

Feel free to let Apple know about your feedback by posting your comments here:  www.apple.com/feedback

  • I would like to capture live sports directly to imovie

I would like to avoid the time consuming step of uploading data to imovie.   One work flow that is time consuming is film event, then upload 1 gig of data and then edit.  There must be a way that I can elegantly turn on my camera and transfer in real time the data to imovie.

Hi EZ Jim, and thanks.   This is a good work around.  However, I wish to use either my Sony HD camera or my older digital tape camera.   The Sony HD has a USB out and also a mini HDMI out. My laptop has FIrewire in. The older camera has a firewire out port. It is not HD quality but I can modify the scale to 16:9 and it is just a slightly less quality image.
I can get results... ie record directly to my laptop.   But I have to click "capture" in the window that pops up and gives me the choice of inputs (the onlaptop icamera or the connected camera).  And then when the play stops I push the stop.   This gets the 'footage' directly onto my Mac Harddrive.  But it seems clunky.  I was hoping there might be a more elegant solution out there.
    You're welcome, Cap'n!
Because you posted your topic in iMovie for iOS, my initial response offered help for the iOS version of iMovie.  However, your latest post seems to describe how you connect your camcorders to your laptop's OS X iMovie.  If your question is about recording directly into your Mac's iMovie, see Record video directly into iMovie.
If you don't need any other suggestions from us users who post here, you can send your comments or suggestions for improving your specific iMovie version directly to Apple by using the appropriate Apple product feedback page:

      • iMovie for iOS Product Feedback
You are not likely to get a response, but you can be certain that the responsible Apple people will see your input for consideration in future iMovie product development.

  • How to suggest new ideas to function in Iphone?

Does anyone now a Apple e-mail adress for suggestions like this?

Registered developers can submit iOS related feedback via the bug reporter.
Apple does not accept unsolicted ideas, but this link has some info:
Apple - Legal - Unsolicited Idea Submission Policy
Otherwise, consumers should know that the process is years ahead of what they find available today.

  • Ibooks much more expensive than kindle books

Is there somewhere within Apple ibookstore that you can raise the issue of a book being much more expensive in ibookstore compared to Aussie Kindle store?

The prices for each ibook are set by the publisher/rights-holder - some might be cheaper on Amazon/Kindle, some in the iBookstore or in one of the other ebook apps/stores (Nook, Kobo).
You can leave feedback for Apple via one of these pages, but only the publisher can change the price :

  • Iphone Camera Date Options?

    Hello all,
On my Cannon Camera there is an option of selecting to put a date on your pictures or to leave it off.  I was wondering if anyone thinks something similar with the iphone would be a great idea for an upcoming update? or is there any way to tell already when you transfer your pictures over to the computer on what day you took the photo without going through and labeling them everytime you import them to the computer?
    Thank You.

Whether anyone else thinks it is a great idea or not is irrelevant.
These are user to user support forums, and what you describe is not a feature of iOS.
Feedback for Apple can be left here:  http://www.apple.com/feedback
Date, time, and geolocation information is already stored in the image files.  Look at the properties for the image.  How this is done is dependent upon the computer that they files are being copied to.

  • [Mobile] Display number of offline songs (left)

As there is a limit of 3,333 songs that can be downloaded to each device for offline listening, I believe there should be a counter (perhaps somewhere in the settings menu) that displays how many songs are currently downloaded to the device. I'd rather have the option to know beforehand if I am approaching the limit, rather than having to deal with it when I really want to save a new album but can't because I have hit the limit.

iOS related feedback per this tweet: https://twitter.com/holaphil/status/628682044214743040 Is there a way for user to easily view list of songs 'available offline'? When disconnected from internet and/or only streaming via WIFI mode, it would be helpful to see a list of all 'Offline' songs available for playback. As of now the user has to scan through playlists or songs to discover songs that would not require streaming (i.e. cost data, studder, etc). Maybe add a 'Available Offline' option within Your Music menu.

  • Ios 6 map error feedback

I'm just starting with maps on ios 6 on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. I notice some errors when looking in my neighborhood.
    1) The name of the neighborhood is incorrect. The name here actually belongs a couple miles away.
    2) A non-existent street appears on the map.
I'd like to provide feedback to Apple to get these corrected in the next update. Has anyone found a way to do this?

I finally found out that by dropping a pin on the location of the error and clicking on the pin's info button gives a menu with a way to give feedback to make corrections.
I sent my two issues in that way. So, it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get corrected.

  • IMessage not working after iOS 5.1 upgrade! Feedback pls

iMessage not working after iOS 5.1 upgrade, anybody experiencing this as well? Feedback please......

You shouldn't have to hard restart and it shouldn't have anything to do with your router.  If anyone else runs into this problem try resetting the network settings on your phone.  All the steps to do this can be found here http://tekshot5.com/ios-5-1-imessage-fix/
Edit: Some of us don't have the option of resetting our DNS servers.  I run my own for example for caching purposes.

If you have been syncing with itunes on a computer, then should not be a problem. If you've never dones so, then you should. If you don't have a computer, then at least set up icloud on your device and perform a backup in icloud.

  • Feedback on iOS 5?

I have an iPod touch, 3rd generation, that I want to upgrade to iOS 5. Want to. I like the new features, but I'm not sure yet - when I got iOS 4, the performance and battery life got a little worse, and I'm just a little afraid that if I update to iOS 5, something awful is going to happen. Does anybody owning an iPod touch, 3rd gen, have any feedback or comments? If it lags, the battery life, etc.? I've skimmed through a few forums, and done some Googling, but haven't been able to find anything on this stuff.
Oh, and does updating really take all of your apps out of the folders and put them out of order? Heh, I guess that was a little out of the blue. I have tons of apps though, and spent a lot of time organizing them, so if that were true it would be a bit of an inconvenience to me...
    Thanks

There are only a couple of hundred of these threads already so not sure how searching wouldn't have located any of them.
Plus, we are all users just like you so send this info to Apple:  www.apple.com/feedback

  • IOS list incorrect for iPhone on feedback page

FYI the list of iOSes on the iPhone feedback page are not for iPhone: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Used Chrome 21.0.1180.89 m on Windows XP SP 3 to view the link.

And here I thought my question and the related product software support was just why "we" invented computers. Allowing the Apple iOS support team to push a button and have an iOS 5 user guide for iPhone 4 owners who previously used iOS 4.
But..... Tim and Co. didn't ask me.
So while I wait near my Inbox for that email from Tim that directs me to such a user guide, I'll continue to "catch" the iOS 5 info as I was doing.
    Thanks.

  • Please Respond! I need hoonest feedback on whether or not to do the ios 8 update!

I have the iphone 5S and the ipad air (which are synced) and I have not yet updated to ios 8 due to fear of having problems with my phone. However, I have had some issues with my phone (apps freezing, and last night my phone just died with a full battery charge--it would not turn on---I had to do a heavy restart to get back up and running) so I am wondering if these issues are because I have not updated?  I need some honest feedback on the pros/cons of updating and not updating. Please help!

One item that had been of interest (among others) was the change in iPhoto.
The new app is Photo for iOS8, features are not retained there, from iPhoto.
This and the other changes across the iOS due to a rather large re-write upgrade
may affect how you've been accustomed to using the iPhone and its features.
One of the explained reasons why there are several changes that I'd been offered
was the as of yet unreleased newest OS X and this iOS8 were closer. By reading
through the ASC discussions, many upset users of new iOS 8 are waiting for a fix.
Another fix to replace the fix that didn't appear to fix it.
Hard to say, but those who wanted to revert to the older iOS 7 to get features back
were rather upset, in their discussions, & cited reasons why iOS8 wasn't working.
Perhaps some are hoping features they preferred in iOS7 could be incorporated in
a later patch or update to this recent major upgrade...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • IPhone 5S iOS 7: iMessage / SMS Haptic Feedback

    Two issues here:
How can I stop my iPhone from notifying me twice over about a text (not the double vibrate from a text, but a double vibrate then another one about two minutes later even though a new text has not come in)?
How can I stop my iPhone from telling me (both visually and with haptic feedback) that an iMessage failed to send despite successfully and automatically sending as a text? Tell me that after all options are exhausted and it fails, not when it fails in iMessage then succeeds in SMS.
    Thanks...

    It's happening to both my wife and I. She has a 4S, I have a 5.

I have the same issue. Phone echo's like a toy mic after call ends. I am on the iPhone 5 with version 7.0.4. I even swapped for a new handset and it did not fix the issue. This never happened iOS 6.
Can someone please help as it is very annoying and deters you from making the next immediate call.
