IOS 7 - icons covers operator's info

I've just upgraded to iOS 7 and found that icons on home screen covers operator's info, so i can't see my account balance:

Could you use AIR 3.9 release AIR SDK from   http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html try again? following SDK/templates/air/descriptor-template.xml file 76x76, 120x120, & 152x152. had suppored.
Please refer to revelant tag in /descriptor-template.xml file.

Getting the operating unit info in 11i front end

Hi All,
I'm having a doubt about getting the operating unit info from the front end (i.e) for the given form how can we find which OU is attached to it(For ex. PO form).I dont know the navigation to get the value of the OU from the profile options in the front end.
Can anyone let me know the navigation for this......
If possible,please share some links where i can learn about these profile options better.

I'm having another doubt....I need to define a profile option and get its value in the backend.
I created one profile option in App.Dev responsibility and when i searched for its value, using fnd_profile.value(), its showing null.
Do i need to give any values as default while creating the profile option,coz i tried giving user values also(in edit-- > preferences.......)
Can you help me in this pblm....

ApplicationLoader - Icon specified in the Info.plist not found

Fellow developers,
Have any of you seen this error when trying to upload the app using the ApplicationLoader:
Icon specified in the Info.plist not found: iconplus
The icon file is there and has always loaded just fine on the emulator. I entered the filename in the app's Target, but without the .png extension. Is that correct?
Also, I mad sure the icon file name has no special characters or spaces.
Any other ideas? It's not fair not to be in the App Store because of an icon

To answer my own question:
Yes, you really need to include the icon's extension when you enter the icon name in your project properties or Target. Also, avoid spaces and special characters in your icon's file name.
Ex: myicon.png
If you don't specify an extension, you will not be able to upload your app to iTunes Connect, but get an error message saying that your icon is not found.

App icon changes to generic iOS icon once installed

So, this one I can't quite make heads or tails of—while the app is downloading and installing on the iPad, I can see the app's real icon design behind the progress wheel, but once it's finished installing, the icon just turns into a generic iOS icon as if there was not one designed by the developer. This is happening specifically with the NPR One app. At first I was thinking it might have something to do with the fact that it's an iPhone app downloaded to an iPad, but I've been unable to replicate this issue with any other iPhone-only app. Thus far, I've tried deleting and reinstalling, deleting, restarting the iPad, and then reinstalling to no avail.
I've taken screen caps while installing and after:

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

I also have several generic icons on my iPad running OS 8. The apps involved are fully downloaded and work fine.
I finally decided to backup to iTunes, do a factory reset and restore from the backup. That all went well, but the generic icons are still there.
I don't want to delete and reinstall the apps. One of them is Launch in which I have created many custom actions. I assume that I will lose all of those if I delete and reinstall the app.
Any ideas?

IOS Icon Templates on Screen

An empty iOS Icon template appeared on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7 when I downloaded an app, created a folder then dragged the app out of the folder. When I tap and hold the empty icon to delete it, it jiggles but does not show the "x" in the upper left-hand corner to delete it. I want to remove this icon from my phone. Any suggestions?

Fully close the App Store App. Double tap your home button which will bring the most recently used apps. You'll see the app icon below and a screen shot of the open app page above. With your finger, swipe the open app page upward and the app will close. It's a good idea to regularly close apps when yout using them.
Tap your home button once to bring back your home screen.
App store should operate normally again when you open it.

Is there any way to change the default icon of opera in the taskbar?

It doesn't use the icon of the theme, and seems it use an ugly xpm picture. Anyway, if it doesn't have such glitch, I will not complain about it.
Placing another /usr/share/pixmaps/opera.xpm doesn't help. (I edit the xpm file and it's array name to logo3232_xpm.)
Or is there any way to do a icon map?(map the specific program to specific icon)

Well the .desktop file is going to tell the system what icon to use. Do a:
pacman -Ql opera | grep "/usr/share/applications"
and you should see it. Hmm, if you edited the icon in place it should work, but not if you changed the name. Look in the desktop file and be sure that the one you are editing is the one you need to change.

How can I set up Apple Mail to display the sender's "from icon" in the header info?

I have gone into the preferences to set up custom headers, so that the icon sent to me from the email sender will display in the header, but do not see an option for this. I want to do this for Comcast as a source specifically, as they embed an icon in their official emails and I have been receiving phishing emails from sender pretending to be Comcast. Comcast states on their website, that you can see their icon in any mail they send, however, this does not happen on my version of Apple Mail (4.5).
Here is an image of the info shown on the Comcast website, in case that helps to clarify my question.

On the Internet Accounts System prefs choose Add Other account…
Pick Mail account.
On the first page where you enter username and password, hold down the Option key and the Create button will change to Next. Click that with Option held down.
You can then manually create the account.

What are the official names of the standard iOS icons?

I'm tearing my hair out and cursing. Not good.
All I want is a list of the proper, official names of the icons/buttons that are standard in iOS.
Specifically what set off the hunt was not knowing the name of the square with the curvy arrow pointing out to the upper right, but would be nice to find a complete list.
I'm trying to coach a friend with a new iPad and it's frustrating not to know. Even the iOS pdf's I've looked at don't give the name of the icons, they just show them in line "tap [icon image] to...".
Arrrgghh! I've Binged and Googled for nearly an hour now, been all over the net, various Apple sites but my keywords are not generating sought list!

That's the pdf I'm referring to. It's 163 pages, so I scrolled through the intro part, looked in the Safari part, scrolled to the end to look for an index or glossary or table and didn't find anything. Training-wise, it makes sense that they put the icon inline with the text, but I'm just hitting keyword block and giving up for the night, thought to float the search to others who may have clearer heads.
First reference I see to this particular icon is page 14, where it appears inline, unnamed. The home button is named and further referred to as [a square icon with rounded corners]. Other icons are either named or unnamed in the UG text.

AIR for iOS: Icons & Launch Image question

AIR has been so changed since I used it last time, I can't really figure out anything, documentation is somewhat confusing to me. Could you anyone of you please answer my question? To some, it could be pretty simple.
My app is exclusively for iPads, works only in Lanscape mode, so I've included 2 launch images, which name: Default.png & [email protected] (I named them after reading this: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WS901d38e593cd1bac1e63e3d129907d2886-8000.html)
When I copied final .ipa file to my iPad 2, well, its launch image appeared in Portrait mode! So, I'm totally confused as how many launch images I need to provide and what should be their name? I use Flash Professional CC to publish, I've included all the launch images in Publishing settings, so is there any order I need to follow or order in Included Files just does not metter? Please keep it in consideration that this app is only for iPads (specified in Publishing dialouge box) and works only in Landscape mode (both, left and right).
Icons:
I followed the above mentioned webpage and provided Flash Professional CC these icons: 29x29, 48x48, 50x50, 58x58, 72x72, 100x100, 144x144 & 1024x1024. I know 50x50 icon is created by AIR from 48x48, yet I provided it and 512x512 icon is only for development purpose, we need to manually provide it while uploading it to App Store, so I did not provide it.
When I copied final .IPA to iTunes, iTunes does not show App Icon as it used to show for development-ipa. So, I just want to confirm is it normal or I missed something?
Lastly, I copied final .IPA to my iPad 2, when I started it, I noticed that first it show the 'launch image' in Portrait mode (as mentioned above) and after may be 1-2 seconds, the launch image gone and it showed blank (black) screen untill my app started. The blank black screen showed up for 3-4 seconds. Is it normal?

Hey Yusuf,
"Default.png" is a portrait mode image for iPhone, iPhone 3 and iPhone 3GS.
For iPad 1, 2 & Mini you will need a 1024x768 image called "Default-Landscape.png".
For iPad 3 and 4 you will need a 2048x1536 "[email protected]".
So all you have to do is include these launch images in the publish settings and that's it, there is no special order and you do not require any other "Default" images other than those two. This should also resolve your blank screen problem.
It's normal for release builds not to show their App icon in iTunes, you'll notice that when you right click and press "Get Info" on an app you should be able to see the icon.

I do not know why .PNG's created in Adobe Photoshop with the transparent background do not play well with finder, but do so in the "get info" window in the icon position space. I basically opened the same file in preview, saved it as a .PNG with respect to Preview, and this time it worked:
It seems to me the only explaination is that the image with transparent backgroud must be a PREVIEW image?

Will downloading IOS 5.1 wipeout my info?

I'm in the middle of downloading IOS 5.1 to my ipod touch 4th generation, and it hit me that this may wipeout my info. Am i right to be worried, or will nothing happen?

As long as you are using the syncing computer and all your music, apps and other media in on the computer, your info will be retained and restored to the iPod as part of the update.

What is the work around for not being able to see icons for folders. I want to be able to copy and paste image icons in the GET INFO windows.

I have always used images for my folder icons, and now I am told that Mt. Lion does not allow me to go to the GET INFO window and do a click on the image icon and then be able to paste that image on to other folders. I just talked with a Apple support guy and he said that Mt. Lion does not support this function. He did say that there are third party programs that allow using images to make icons for folders or other items. I can see some image icon in some of my hard drive folders....... some folders show image icons while others do not. I am a photographer and have scads of photo folders spread all over different hard drives, and I find it easier to find what I am looking for by just looking at the IMAGE PICTURE in the different folders on my hard drives, than by having to read the one or two words associated with each folder.
THe support guy said to request that APPLE put back the ability to use the coy paste function in the GET INFO window. If i can't get this working like it was I wouyld like to know how to get a refund and throw out Mt Lion.

Restore your Lion bootable backup/clone or Time Machine backup and file your ML bug report. Just keep the installer ($20 USD isn't worth the hassle trying to get it refunded). Then, when the function's restored, reinstall and run Software Update.
