IOS 7 is too slow on iPhone 4
I have recently moved my iPhone 4 to iOs 7, but very disappointed with the performance.
1) Its taking time to load the application. Even the native app like phone, message, notes, contacts.
2) Scrolling(web page in safari, or contact list, etc) is no longer smooth as it was in iOS 6.
3) Typing is also slow, not smooth.
Overall I think its not the experiance apple is known for.
I wish future release of iOS 7 solves the issue. Or at least apple provides way to downgrade iphone 4 back to iOS 6.

This program is un-usable under 8.2 Beta 4. It used to refresh straight away, however now images wont load, and it takes about 8 minutes for content to update. Pretty certain its a firmware issue.

Ios 8.02 work slow in iphone 4s
Hi i am using apple 4s white color and i bought this phone before 3months ago. Before that time its performace was awesome but after upgrade ios8.02. Its work very slow and touch not perform as not as well before. Apart that apple 5 work good as i checked. apple service center person replied in apple 5 & 6 processor is fast as apple 4s. I am facing some problem last 2week. First one that in my phone upper side network bar, time and battery collom most of the the become hide. 2. Its quite hang when i typing. 3 when i open any application its takes time 3-4 second. In this regards no budy helping my problem even apple customer care and service center person. I have some screen shot as i am facing these problem. And most important thing is that when i checked other apple 4s, performace was same as i feel in my phone slow problem.

I have recently updated my iPad 3 to iOS 8.2 from 7.1.2 and now the graphic performance is really poor. Sadly it works now like a cheap Android tablet, much worse than my previous version. Surfing the net I have discovered that it is an irreversible process. I have deleted all my apps and settings and it has not improved, also I have disabled every sync function and effects with no luck.
Why Apple do this? If a device works fine it should be so forever. The user should have the possibility to roll back to the factory configuration if the update is not fine in that device. And also Apple should be careful launching updates that works well on every model that support it. It's inaceptable to pay so much for a device that some day, sooner or later it will work much worse simply by a company policy.
Very bad, Apple. This is not fair. If you force the users to buy a new tablet or phone maybe the users will not come again to your devices and will buy something with Android or Windows Phone.IOS 8.2 works fine for me on an iPad 3.

Iphone 4s with iOS 8.0.2 is not fluid. The software is not fluid. It is necessary a faster or a lighter version of the operative system for iPhone 4s: if the requiremnets are too high for iphone 4s it is better to use iOS 7.1.2 . My feedback on iOS 8 on 4s is not positive and improvments are necessary: in future do not allow the download of a software on a phone that can not support it. After the release of iOS 7 a year ago i had the same problem: only after some updates the lack of fluidity was fixed.

for me, this is not just an internet issue. I'm running the iphone network connection on DSL wifi
and cable wifi. The problem is persistent regardless of time or the wifi network i'm connected to. Additionally, there is general slowness that is experienced:
1. when navigating any scrolling screen whether in an app or on the settings function, the screen freezes for 1-2 seconds and then appears to move.
2. when switching between apps, the iphone back-screen goes black, then the app to which I have switched to, reloads. This is problematic in that I lose data and progress (for example when switching between notes and safari) - this should not happen between programs that do not use much memory to run. I leave 2-3 gb empty on the phone. Additionally, I frequently "close" open programs on the task switcher, and i do not allow many programs to update in the background, nor do I permit location services on many programs.
3. When using the copy function, I cannot copy over its last contents - the prior contents appear to be frozen there, such that when I try to paste new material, the older material pastes.
There is no way for me to go back to is 7, which was much more stable for the iphone 4s.
To the apple engineers: if an system update is not optimal for a certain phone hardware, please warn users on the update screen that it is such, or that it is has not been tested for that particular phone model.

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove all apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete apps from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
Ios 8.0.2 way too slow on 16GB 4S
I updated from ios 7 two days ago and my 16GB 4S is WAY too slow. It is really noticeable in Mail and Safari, the two programs I use the most. I am really mad and discouraged at the lack of warning and the rather large (negative) impact it has made on my online life as I use my iPhone a lot both for work and pleasure. I did improve entering text in Mail by turning off the function that suggests a string of words as one types; at least I can type without stuttering delays...
Does anyone know if Apple recognizes this as a big problem and is working to provide an update for the type of iPhone and memory combo I and millions of others have?
As an (annoying) aside, I found the updating process to be very frustrating: I used iTunes - as presumably very few of us have 5GB free - but found the online documentation about matters like transferring purchased apps before starting the upgrade not to match the iTunes screens; plus I had to use Task Manager a number of times to shut down a stuck iTunes. I have an ipad3(wifi +cellular). Now i want to upgrade my iOS5.1 to ios 7. But download speed in our country is too slow(100kbps). It can be disconnected anytime. Is there any problem if net connection get disconnected while upgrading ios? Please ans me.
There is something Definitely wrong with iOS 7 regarding DATA USAGE being logged to wireless carrier in for WIFI instead.

I rarely use my mac to sync....its all wifi sync for the last 2 years....never had this issue before... and i know it began with iOS7.... here is why....
My iPhone was at home when I updated to iOS7 connected to wifi...but it logged Data Usage to Rogers Wireless (700MB approx)...data will never do an update over 50mb in app store (it gives the warning to use wifi) I play a lot of games and pay for them so I always update through App Store. 2 weeks later, simposons halloween update (650mb)...at home, using wifi.
Rogers told me there was 700+mb data usage on the day of update and 650+mb data on oct 1.st (tapped out).
Went over my 6GB plan and paid the fees.
This has never happened before...It must come to apples attention by now... -

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Was it purchased from an official Apple Store, not a reseller? Only Apple Stores sell official factory unlocked phones. The others sell hacked to unlock phones, and the unlocking is unstable.
Try these steps, as needed:
1. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
3. Replace SIM card (and reset network settings again)
4. Restore Phone in iTunes using a backup
5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup -
