IOS 7 Major lag problem on iPad 4th gen.

two(2) questions that I need answers to:
1.) On iOS 6 the same animation was shown whether you used the home button or four finger pinched to go home. On iOS 7 using the button results in the stock animation which is fine, but the gesture results in a half closed application hang mess.This particular problem happens quite often. This is a problem that I and other iPad 3rd and 4th generation users have noticed. What is happening to Apple's iPads and what are they doing to fix this?
2.) Since I updated my iPad 4th gen. to iOS 7 Simple tasks like changing wallpaper takes 10 seconds , changing between tabs in settings is taking more than a few seconds. For me iOS 6 was much more smoother than the current iOS 7software. What is Apple trying to do about this?
Pls don't tell us that that we have to erase all content and settings. We shouldn't have to completely wipeout our devices to make the OS work right.
I can't believe Apple let these major problems slip right pass them.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Is this happening with one particular network or with all? Make sure iOS is updated on the device.
Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions).

IPad 4th Gen recurring problem!

Right after purchase of iPad 4th gen 32GB Wifi+4G and in weeks since, it goes black between 65-55% battery life and is totally unresponsive. Only after plugging into a power source does it come alive and the first few times, a message immediately said "Cannot Verify Server Identity" "Not Trusted" with details of 'calander.yahoo.com' and 'imap.mail.yahoo.com and calander' or something and that happened several times, but the last 20 or so times, it does not come up any more.
I have tried restoring to iCloud backup and factory and still the same results. Bizzare. I am totally baffled.
Sent it back to Apple a few days ago and they returned it after a diagnotics check and could not reproduce the problem. I got it back and it was at 75% battery life which leads me to believe they didn't even take it down to 65% to reproduce it which if the case, ticks me off. They said they installed firmware and updates, but the same problem happened again after it reached 63%.
Frustrated and baffled. Has anybody seen or had this problem??

Adjusting the date or time didn't do anything for me either. I'm guessing my two options are to either do the full restore from scratch and not apply any backup ... Or possibly wait for an iOS update that might resolve this issue.
I'm not that much of an avid twitter user that I need it implemented natively in all my devices - so for now I'll probably value all my game save data, internal settings in apps e.t.c. over that functionality (or over the amount of work it would be to get me back to where I am now after a full wipe). Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.

IPad -4th gen- Wi-FiDisplay Restart Problem

I have iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi Ratina display.
My device restart automatically.
First it was blue screen on display. I try resetting it with Hold down the sleep and home keys, after seeing Apple symbol on screen. With this trick now i can see display but still if i try to open any application it got automatically restart.
Please give me suggestion what would be my next step?
I purchased this device last year. So if i need to send for repair it comes under free service or i need to pay some extra charge for it?

IPad 4th Gen will not access gmail/error message regarding password

iPad 4th Gen,32GB, iOS8.1 suddenly giving error message of incorrect user name or password when trying push emails. Steps tried so far:
unlocked gmail account via Safari browser
changed from fetch to push and back
checked stmp info and turned on SSL
rebooted iPad
deleted gmail account
attempted to load gmail account
Any other fixes to try? Problem just suddenly happened this afternoon. Been working just fine, even after downloading iOS 8.1 over 24 hours ago. Problem has only existed for about 6 hours. Had exact problem with iPhone 6, 64GB, iOS 8.1 at the same time but unlocking gmail account via Safari resolved the problem on the iPhone 6. All other apps on both devices working perfectly.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I gave away my Ipad 2 to my niece. I'm thinking of buying another Ipad. I don't know which to select. The Ipad 4th gen or the Ipad mini. I'm not really into gaming since I just use my ps3 for that. I just plan to watch movies, surf the net, do some video edting and watch movies thru netflix.

The iPad Mini Wi-Fi problems is on iOS 6.0.2 when you update it.. So if you are in iPad Mini or iPhone 5 Stay at iOS 6.0.1 because when you update to iOS 6.0.2 you will have a Wi-Fi Problem.

Ipad 4th gen retina display takes too long downloading apps

I have a Ipad 4th Gen ios 6.1.3. When i tap the app store icon it takes too long to show the info. The same occurs when i itry to install some apps. Comparing with a Asus Memo Pad 10 is slower what does not have to be. My network runs till 200mbps and the ipad has full power and full wi-fi connection.
Is there a problem of comfiguration or other?.

Have you tried this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

Hi .......ok so I got an iPad 4th Gen 16gb in New York last year (February 2013) and I was just wondering how long this will last, not in Battery life but in how long I can use it until it starts to get really slow and lagging and goes completely dead in years! No. Once sn iOS version comes out that is not compatible with your hardware, you cannot, obviously, update iOS any longer. However, your iPad running the last release of iOS compatible with it will continue to run that iOS release at the same speed it always did.
Nothing about any computer ever slows down with age - your cpu, RAM and storage all function at the same speed as they always did. New software may add features that tax your system more than a newer system would be taxed, but nothing about your system changes just because the device ages.
At some point, our system simply is unable to update or run newer software because that newer or updated software requires hardware features that yours simply does not have. But your exisiting software on your existing hardware will continue to run just as it always has.
As to when your system becomse unable to handle new software or iOS features, that is purely a matter of how quickly newer hardware comes out and how quickly software developers move to new features that your system cannot handle.
There is no inherent reason to believe that an iPad 4 will not be compatible with the next release of iOS - it might not be, but it may very well be. Depends entirely on what changes the next release (whenever that may be) introduces, and what new device hardware Apple may be working on.
