Try copying all of the content in your Word document to a new document, then see if you can selectively copy and paste.

I always advise my Contribute clients to "scrub" any Microsoft text before pasting it. You might be able to do this by changing the doc to .txt? Hopefully that would get rid of the layout code embedded in a doc or docx document.
However, since I don't trust anything Microsoft seems to have excess code attached, I first put it into Text Edit on my Mac and save it. Not sure what the equivalent program is on Windows. I think an email program could work just as well, Twigman. You might ask your tech how to save the MS doc so it has no code, like pure ascii text. That way, they will not have to leave Word to scrub the old code out.

After Leopord install I can't copy and paste between Adobe CS apps

Subject says it all. I use Adobe CS, and ever since I installed Leopard, when I copy my artwork, it will past within its own application, but when I try to cut from Illustrator and paste into InDesign I get nothing.

Uninstall the incorrect version. It should have come with an uninstaller. Repair permissions, restart your computer, install the correct version, repair permissions and restart your computer again.

There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.

Using Firefox 4, the URL bar no longer displays the web address for my current web-site so I can't copy and paste links. Plus there's no refresh button.

I upgraded to Firefox 4 and so far I really don't like it, but I still would like to give it a chance. However, the URL address bar no longer shows the current address for websites that I surf into. That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

I think it can be a little misleading,u must trying copying a map from Google maps within Safari, not from the Map application itself. I have an apple(mac os x). I have parallels desktop 3.0 for this mac.
Problem: can't copy and paste from windows to firefox.
