IOS 7 Notification Sync

Is this a feature that needs to be turned on? If so, can anyone help?
One of the most annoying features of iOS is having to get rid of notifications on iPad and iPhone seperately, so I was looking forward to this.
Still in iOS7, if I get an email and read it on my iPad it still shows as unread on my iPhone until I go into the Mail app and it syncs up. I thought there was background syncing etc. in iOS 7??
It isn't just email, things like Facebook etc. also behave the same way.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am having same problem tyring to sync my phone with iTunes. It was ok until I downloaded IOS7 and then the problem came. It just wouldn't sync and the message "could not be synced because sync session fail to start" kept showing up. Anyone can help?

  • IOS 6 notification and sound sync

    I am having an issue where the banner notification and sound are not in sync. So the banner will flash on the top of the screen and then I will hear the notification tone. This can be very annoying when the phone is in my pocket - I will look t it when I hear the notification tone but will have missed the banner notification so often times don't know what the notification was for. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am running iOS 6 on my 4s. Thanks.

    I've had exactly the same problem! Also the silent button on the side isnt working either. Calls seem to be ok, but emails sms facebook, none of those sounds work. Have you found a solution?
    No I haven't. The difference is that my silent button is working and even sound when receving and email or an sms's. My issue is the sound of the notification of the applications. For example facebook, F1Live24 ..

  • Notification sync

    I have had my notifications sync between my iPhone and iPad for a while now, but the notifications do not sync on my MBP. Notifications I am referring to would be Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.  I'm running OSX Mavericks on the MBP and iOS 8.1.3 on the iPhone and iPad. Am I missing out on this benefit by not updating to Yosemite?  I feel comfortable using Mavericks but still have a lot to learn about OSX.

    Greetings lkpolovchik,
    Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
    It sounds like you want notifications for your internet accounts such as Facebook or Twitter to appear in OS X as well as on your iOS devices.
    You can set this up on your Mac by adding those accounts to System Preferences > Internet Accounts.
    See these links for the detailed steps and more help with OS X Notification Center:

  • Notifications sync not working

    One of the listed features of iOS 7 is "notification sync" which states that removing a notification off one device removes it from all.  I can't get this working,  any notification I clear on my iPad doesn't clear off my iPhone or vice-versa.  Only apps that already did this in iOS 6, like the Gmail app do this.
    Has anyone gotten notifications sync working?

    So far I've seen it working on the Mail and Messages apps only. The notifications only clear and sync when the new items are read within the apps (you can't just clear the notification from notification centre and have it sync).
    Still unsure if other apps are meant to be working, if developers need to code in support for his, and if notifications are meant to sync when cleared from the notification centre as opposed to having to open each app first.
    A bit of a mess currently.

  • Ios 5 notification panel - calendar notifications "jittery"

    Since updating to ios 5, the notification center panel you can pull down (by swiping from the top) exhibits odd behavior on my ipad2 - if I have it set to display calendar notifications, the sliding panel graphic will flicker and jump, as will the  actual calendar notifications - which then will sometimes just disappear or not display.  Displaying email notifications does not show this behavior - it seems to specific to displaying calendar.
    My mail comes via exchange.  I have exact same setup on iPhone4 and the ios 5 notification behavior works perfectly there.  The behavior only seems to be on the iPad2.  I've compared settings across the two devices - identical.  Restarted the iPad2, etc.  No love.

    Yes, I totally agree with this observation, there's a bunch of us at my work who updated to the new 4s models just over a week ago, all syncing over 3G with Exchange 2007, I had the battery drain/jittery calendar notifications issue however, the others don't.
    As recommended above, disabling and re-enabling my exchange calendar syncing seems to have cleared the issue....for now.
    Settings-> Mail,Contacts,Caldndars->Click your Exchange account->switch Calendars to OFF and then exit back to Springboard. Then re-enable it by doing the same and switching to ON
    I'm now wondering whether it was some glitch when I was setting up the new device, we use a product called MobileIron to manage our fleet of devices, it handles pushing the Exchange capability/config out to new/replaced devices and installing it...with a couple of prompts. Something may have gone awry there, perhaps corrupt calendar data? Anyhoo, turning Exchange calendar on/off as per above seems to flush the old data out and voila!
    Good luck all.

  • Can I change the calendar view in IOS 7 notification center?

    IOS 6 Notification Center showed the calendar info in a LIST view, showing all events for that day (timed and untimed events).  IOS 7 only seems to allow a view that looks like an excerpt from the DAY view of the calendar.  It takes up more space than the previous version and shows less info, only 1/2 at a time.  Does anyone know if there is a way to change that view in Notification Center?

    Hi MET-24!
    You can see the list view for your calendar in iOS 7 by following the steps to search for an event, which are found in the iOS 7 user guide on page 68:

  • How do I stop iOS update notifications in the middle of the night?

    How do I stop the iOS update notifications in the night. I do not need bright white update message while sleeping.

    Settings App > Notification Center > App Store. You can take it out of Notifications altogether, or adjust the settings. (Turning OFF Show in Lock Screen might be enough).

    I live in Canada.  Each time I travel to the US, I lose all calendar entries.  I have to erase all data, then restore from an iCloud backup.  Tedious.  iPhone 4, iOS 7.1, sync set to all events.  I only use the default calendar.  Do I have an incorrect setting?

    I did find another point worth mentioning.
    I use my iPhone 4 with a corporate Exchange email account.  I had deleted the account from my phone just before I did this backup/restore process...and I thought my battery drain was much, much better (if not outright fixed).
    Later in the day, after seeing my battery life improve to near-new behavior, I re-added my Exchange mail account.  Considering I have 1 yahoo account and 3 gmail accounts, the Exchange account adds a 5th email account.
    What happened?  Battery drain back to "worst case".  Removing or re-adding the Exchange account is like toggling between decent and terrible drain conditions.
    Bottom line is that I re-added a couple dozen applications and battery life didn't change.  By far, the Exchange account drains the battery worse than any other app and setting.  This account must be polling very frequently and since people tend to send very large file attachments to that account, perhaps those effect the battery drain even though I have the account set to not download attachments.
    Anyone running Microsoft Exchange might be able to confirm what I see?  If so I can open an enterprise ticket with Microsoft and bug them on this issue.

  • Air 3.4 iOS Push Notification is not fired when app is not running and is not in background

    Hello,
    I'm making an Air iOS application which uses the iOS Push Notification from Air 3.4.
    All is working perfectly except when I receive notifications when the app is not running and is not in background (The app is killed).
    I suppose the RemoteNotificationEvent.NOTIFICATION must be dispatched when I receive a notification even if my app is not currently running or in background ?
    Do you have already get the same issue ? Do you know what can prevent the notification to be handled ?
    Thanks,
    Loïc

    issue has been fixed in the build available at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air3-5.html.
    You would now have to attach listener to InvokeEvent. For cases, when application is killed, InvokeEventReason will be InvokeEventReason.NOTIFICATION. The notification payload can be accessed by the following code
    protected function onInvokeEvent(event:InvokeEvent):void
         trace("Invokehandler called .... \n");
         trace("reason: " + event.reason + "\n");
         if( event.reason == InvokeEventReason.NOTIFICATION)
                        var payload:Object = Object(event.arguments[0]);
              for (var i:String in payload)
                    trace("Key:value pair " + i + ":" + payload[i] + "\n");
              // TODO: DO THE NEEDFUL ON RECIEVING A NOTIFICATION HERE

  • IOS 5 Notifications won't show mail

    I upgraded to iOS 5, which I love. A small problem, however, is that my email won't show up through Notifications. They don't appear as a banner when they come in, on the Lock Screen, or on the drop-down Notifcations menu.
    Mail is listed in "In Notification Center" when I check the settings. It's set to "ON", with Banner alert style, Badge App Icon ON, Show Preview ON, View in Lock Screen ON.
    I have 3 emails accounts: Gmail, Exchange, and a @me.com. None of them will show up.
    My iPad is set up the same. Emails, through Exchange and Gmail, show up just fine in Notifications.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I had the same problem too. The real issue comes down to what your primary email address is associated with your Apple ID. I don't think the notifications will work for all three email accounts, unless you set email forwarding to one, and have that as your Apple ID's primary email address.
    I wrote the procedure here,

  • IOS 5 - Notification are not showing in the lock screen knowing that the option view in lock screen is active ?

    Hi ,
    After Upgade my  iphone4 to ios 5 ,  Notifications are not showing in the lock screen knowing that the option view in lock screen is active ?
    Regards
    HM

    I experience this also sometimes (whatsapp), is this a bug??
    sometimes when a person writes 2-3 messages in a row (for instance) in whatsapp (im in standby mode), it sometimes only displayes ONE message in lock screen mode (though he/she wrote more than 1), and sometimes shows the right corresponding written messages!
    Why is this?
    its really annoyoing when you get messages in lock screen mode BUT it doesnt stay and remain so you notice it. That way you get missed messages etc and notices it first...when doing the "pull-down list".

  • IOS 5 Notifications Missing

    I just upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4S. Since then I have noticed that notifications for the Facebook app and the Xfinity app are very rare, even though they should be coming in. I've enabled notifications in both apps and have the notification center options turned on for both. Does anyone know if this is an iOS 5 problem, an iPhone 4S problem or something else? I don't think that I had this problem on my 3GS with iOS 5.
    Note that my ActiveSync gmail works just fine.

  • IOS Text Notifications

    I'm not sure that my iOS text notifications are being received for a multi-folio viewer app.
    When I send the text notification to the developer app as a test, it works perfectly. The text message is received, I can see the number of devices and devices sent in the notification details.
    However, when I send the message to the distribution app, I don't think it is received. It shows a status of sent, but when I look at the notification details I can see the number of devises, but "0" devices sent. My test subjects don't get the message.
    The App version is v26 and push notifications is enabled and APNS certificates were created.
    What do I need to do?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Text notifications should work with the v26 viewer. I assume the push certificates are valid. I think you should contact Gold support to help you troubleshoot the issue. The number is listed on the DPS Dashboard (https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com) when you sign in with your Pro or Enterprise account.
