Ios 7 phone application, where is the number box above keyboard?

am i missing something. the number box at the top of the keypad of the phone application is gone.
why?????????? do they now assume that you either dial the number or it is in contacts.
what about a number which is not in contacts and which you want to copy and paste.......????
are they nuts????? or am i missing something?

thanks. though this is still awkward. you have to press and hold to get the 'paste'
to appear.

Quick Step Keyboard Shortcuts Work With Number Keys Above Keyboard, But Not On Keypad

Had this same issue with Outlook 2013:
"I assigned hotkeys to several Quick Steps, and used the suggested convention of Ctrl + Shift +1, Ctrl + Shift + 2... through 5.
When I use the number keys above my QWERTY keys, all is well.
When I use the keys on my keypad, Outlook does funny things like collapsing all the day's e-mails into the "Today" heading."
Correct. The keypad values do different things and you can't substitute the keys - you need to use the row numbers with the QAT."
Ergonomically, the number keys on the numpad are far superior to the ones above the keyboard for processing email quickly and easily (and without carpel tunnel!). I'm right-handed so it's much more natural for me to hold down the same two control keys (alt-shift)
with my left hand and select the action (a different key every time) I want with my right. Can do it opposite, but requires more conscious thought and is more subject to error (which defeats the whole purpose when I have to go fish a mis-acted on email out
of the wrong folder).
Was wondering if this issue had been corrected in 2013 (or there was an easy workaround that doesn't involve writing and maintaining a separate macro or installing/maintaining a separate program like AutoHotKeys). The built-in functionality is 99% what I need,
but the ergonomic issue may make it unusable for me.

I can confirm in Outlook 2013 the shortcut keys can only use the number keys above "QWERTY..." and we can't use the number keys on the keypad. This comes by design and is not changeable currently.

I can't seem to make an actual phone call from my iPhone 4S. I dial the number, and the phone at the other end rings. But at my end there is nothing. No ringing. No person trying to talk to me. What is causing this problem? I have got all of the current updates loaded to my phone.

My brother had a similar problem and he went to the Apple store and they gave him a new one under warrenty...she said something about the arial, I would give it a go.

I no longer get a dialog box when bookmarking a page. I am unable to title and save the bookmark in the folder of my choice. Where has the dialog box gone please.

Whenever I have bookmarked a page, I got a dialog box where I could give the bookmark a title and choose the folder to save it in. Now when I click 'Bookmark this page, no box appears. The page is still saved in bookmarks but then I have to go into Organize bookmarks to put it where I want it. This is time I have not had to spend doing so in the past. I would like to know what has happened to the dialog box, why has it stopped appearing as normal? I really would like it back.

It was Mcafee SiteAdvisor 3.3 of all things that caused the problem. Can anyone suggest a better/equivalent type of extension I could use?

Where is the text 'box' to be able to write in the text?

Dumb sounding question, I know, but when I try to create a standard text ... the Inspector doesn't have a text box in which to write the text. Something's fishy. Just wondering what click I may have missed.

Wi Fi Dongle 600 Install 'Where's the NEXT box'?

Purchased a BT600 dongle yesterday. I inserted the DVD and followed the instructions- but when I was prompted to hit the NEXT button, I had a problem, becasue there wasn't one!
I have seen another post on this subject but it didn't really help much, I am not particularly computer literate so I need an easy solution- prefably how to get the NEXT button to display.
Spoke to PC World and BT (at length) but neither had a solution.
Given the number of these items being sold I am surprised there is no solution on the internet, and I was hoping someone on the forum may be able to help. BT seem to think its a faullt in the DVD installation software. For the record I am running Vista on a PC.

Well I don't know the specifics of this installation, but in some installations the buttons will be dependent on carrying out some action on the screen - for example, check the box to accept the terms and conditions, or select a directory for files, or soemthing like that, and until you carry out the action you can't move to the next screen.
That would be the first thing I'd check.

Where's the suggestion box?

I've read a lot of these posts and other discussions on line about ATV. Initially, lots of people thought ATV should have a DVD player or a larger disk drive or whatever.
After using the box since the day after it became available, I humbly offer the following:
1. Many have complained about the lack of categorization, playlists, etc. I agree with all that. The current design does not properly anticipate large collections of either Movies, TV Shows, or Music. I appreciate the rapid scrolling, but there needs to be some approach to sub-categories. It's not so bad in music because there are artist, album, composer, etc. breakdowns. That still leaves a lot of scrolling....so.....
2. There needs to be some version of a Spotlight-type search in this box. That should be usable using an onscreen approach (like entering your WPA password), but
3. Ideally, there would be Bluetooth capability so that a wireless Apple keyboard could be used to enter information in addition to the on-board (slow) method.
4. Finally, I'm having a heqq of a time getting TV shows to display properly. I record and process them to m4v files with EyeTV. I can fill out all the "Get Info" stuff manually just as it would be with some of the episodes I have downloaded (from iTunes). But in the TV Show section the header says "Shows" and what it really shows me is "Artist". If I'm searching for episodes of NCIS, I don't want to see Mark Harmon, I want to see NCIS. NCIS appears in the "Show" box on the Video panel.
I have no interest in a bigger hard disk (since I view this as basically a streaming device); I don't want a DVD player. I just want it to do what its supposed to do about 10% better than it does now.
Basically, this has been a marvelous addition to my system. I have been "setting up" for this for three years and now the missing link is here. Now just a couple of refinements (mostly firmware), please.

Where are the check boxes to select/deselct tracks for import or play?

I just downloaded iTunes 10 on Windows 7, and I don't see the check boxes on the left that allow me to decide what to import or play. Am I missing something? I see them fine on my iMac.

This box can be shown or hidden.
iTunes prefs > General.
Tick *Show list checkboxes*.

Image number box above text box

Do I need to delete the image number boxes that are above the text boxes in my hardcover, large book? I am assuming that those are just there for my use and will automatically not print when I send the book in, but thought I better check!

I think the idea of using Z-sorting would be most beneficial as with each line count I make in my [background] text box I can do a loop check for anything that has a value different from the text box itself. I hadn't thought of that, thanks a lot!
I don't suppose you've got any helpful hints as to how I can check for "soft returns" as opposed to "hard returns" do you? Yes I'm a total newb trying to teach myself InDesign scripting, and no I haven't found the command for this in the scripting manual, lol. My luck I propoably read over it and was too confused to notice it, hehehe.

IOS 8.2 : Message : Where is the trash can ?

Just gave my mother an iPad, She asked me once how to delete a message/picture in the Message App. I show it to her. I have since updated her iPad to iOS 8.2 and the trash seems to have disappeared. On the iPhone, it is there. But not on the iPad.
My mother, aged 75 and who hates technology, asked me to phone the company and tell them that she wants her trash bin back

It should be there where Demo states it is, under the circumstances he mentions. I've run across this same issue where the trash can was simply NOT there, despite the fact that it should've been there. A device reset cleared that up. Give it a try.
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

Where is the number of replies indicator?

In the previous design, I could look at a list of topics and immediately see which ones had zero replies. I would look at those to see if I could help. Now, I cannot tell how many replies there are for a question.
Is there a way to see this datum for each question?

Hi,
The numlock key is for a keyboard which has separate numeric keypad only. You machine does not have separate numeric keypad therefore does not have numlock key.
If you wish to use numlock key you can buy something like this:
