IOS 7 retrieved unwanted photos

Hi, since upgrading to iOS7, my iPhone now has photos that I deleted! Is there a way I can easily remove them again without having to sift through them all??

In case anyone is still having this problem...
Jack7513 didn't mention anything about Google Calendar in the original issue, but I have been syncing with Google Calendar (GCal) and had this same issue. If you use GCal, this may be your solution:
> Open Google Calendar online
> Locate "My Calendars" on the left sidebar
> Open the drop-down menu next to the calendar(s) you sync to your iOS device or Calendar in OS X
> Select "Reminders and Notifications"
> At the top next to "Event Reminders" remove all reminders listed next to "By default, remind me via..." using the "remove" link to the right of each one
> Click "Save" at the top or bottom of the page
Cheers,
zdlyons

  • Retrieving deleted photos from iOS 8

Is there a way to retrieve deleted photos after downloading iOS 8? I have iCloud but I do not know how to access it. I am not technical at all so any instructions are greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. I plug in my iPhone 5s and all my photos were in the folder with pictures but I had more than a half less in my gallery on phone. If you have backup of all your photos on laptop, you can sync them to your phone via iTunes but you can't delete them when they are on your phone. I tried.

If you sync with a new computer all content including the unwanted photo will be removed. This link leads to info on how to sync with a new computer without losing your data. Once you get things set up you should be able to do another sync with your new computer and remove the unwanted photo,

  • HT4623 ios7 update = recovery mode.  How can I retrieve my photos?

My iphone 4s is in recovery mode after attempting to install ios 7.  Itunes on my laptop says that the phone needs to be restored.  I would really like to retrieve my photos and videos before it restores.  Is this possible?  Help, please!

No.  At this point all data on your phone is gone.
However if you backup, then you can restore to the backup after your phone restores.
also if you've been importing your pics to your computer, you can sync them back using itunes.

You cannot backup photos to iCloud.
You can enable Photo Stream (in Settings > iCloud) but only for 30 days and only a max of 1000 photos.
Then what does this mean? It was copied from the kb article that I posted above.
Reducing the size of your Camera Roll backup
If you take lots of photos and videos with your iOS device, you may notice your Camera Roll takes up most of your iCloud Storage backup. To check the size of the Camera Roll backup on your device:
On your Home Screen, tap Settings.
    Tap iCloud.
    Tap Storage & Backup.
    Tap Manage Storage.
In the Backups section, tap your device.
In the Backup Options section, the backup size is displayed under Camera Roll.
To reduce the size of your Camera Roll backup, save your photos and videos locally to your computer with iTunes, and then manually back up your iOS device. If you want to keep your photos and videos on your iOS device, you can turn off Camera Roll in Backup (see the "Deleting backups and turning off Backup for your Device" section above) orpurchase additional storage.

  • TS1702 How to delete unwanted photos?

I have been unable to delete unwanted photos from 'Photos' on my iPad which were synced from my Windows7 PC.  Following carefully from the instructions the 'Delete' Icon is either missing or clouded out. I am at loss for an answer.  HELP!

To delete synced phtos you have to unsync them:
iOS and iPod: Syncing photos using iTunes
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.

  • How can i retrieve my photos from i cloud ?

how can i retrieve my photos from i cloud ?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Photo stream is not available at iCloud.com. In order to see the photos taken on your new iPad, you need to use another iOS device, mac or PC which is logged into your iCloud account.

  • Is it possible to retrieve iCloud photos taken before photostream on mac was activated?

I was recently updating my iPhone 5 iOS software when itunes ejected my phone saying that it was drawing too much power (I later learned this was becasue the phone charger was stripped). Anyway, when it ejected my phone it went into recovery mode. I hade no choice but to restore it. It then restored to factory settings. Pictures, music, apps: gone. I retrieved my apps and music. However, my photos are gone and are not in my iPhoto. I thought i had backed it up but the latest backups on iTunes say 6 months ago. All of the photos i need are from the past 4 months. My iCloud says that i have 4GB of photos stored. Is there any way to get those iCloud photos into my iPhoto? I recently discovered how to turn on my iphoto photostream and it is currently working fine with new photos. But i would like to get my old photos that are in iCloud and not on any other dievice onto my computer. Any Suggestions?

You retrieve the photo stream photos from the last 30 days by signing back in to your iCloud account in Settings>iCloud and enabling photo stream.
If restoring your backup failed to restore your phones (as unfortunately sometimes happens), you could try the solution posted by ezjules in this post: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4076441?start=0&tstart=0.  This involves connecting your phone to your wall charger during the restore and after it restarts and you enter your Apple ID passwords, open your photos app and keep it open for the remainder of the restore process.  Some have reported success by doing this.

  • If my ipad is stolen.  Where do i retrieve my photos From icloud

If my ipad is stolen. Where do i retrieve my photos from icloud

You can retrieve photos from phot stream from an iPhone or from your computer, if you were using Photo Stream. If you were not using Photo Stream, the only other way to retrieve your photos is by restoring from a backup of the iPad, and that is assuming that you were backing up the iPad with iCloud and that you have another iOS device that you could restore the iPad backup from.
The Photo Stream solution is the most practical. If you weren't using photo stream, the photos are gone.

  • HT4859 how do i retrieve my photos from iCloud

Having had our Mac Air stolen I know want to retrieve all my photos in my iCloud, how is the best way to do this?

Your only choice is to perform a restore from an icloud backup.  However...
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS.   Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud.  There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
    See:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage,  tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
    IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream - and then moved into permanent albums for storage.  If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album.  If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered.  I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

  • I can't retrieve my photos from an ipod back up on to my new ipod

i can't retrieve my photos from an ipod back up on to my new ipod

Have the photos been taken with the iPad or have the photos been synced to the iPad Air? Photos synced with iTunes to iOS devices cannot be synced back. See this link:  iOS: Syncing photos using iTunes
If the photos have been synced to the iPad Air, you need an external app as JimHDK recommended. Or mail the photos, which will be tedious. To delete them from the iPad after transferring them, sync again with iTunes, but select no folders to sync.
If the photos have been taken with the iPad Camera, you can connect the iPad Air to your Mac using a USB cable and then to launch Image Capture or iPhoto to transfer the photos. But that will not transfer synced photos.

got my new phone, went to retrieve my photos but it duplicated a certain amount therefore used the free 5 gb of data. purchased 16gb then but cant see my old photos or old iphone details  on icloud account. it only shows the certain amount that duplicated but no old phone details or old photos.
    gutted all travelling photos

If you have a backup of your old phone, the backup should include your camera roll photos.  Restoring the backup should recover them.  This explains how to restore an iCloud backup: iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud.

can i retrieve deleted photo or video using my icloud account

If they were in the camera roll on your iOS device when it was last backed up, they would be included in the backup.  Restoring the entire backup should recover them.

iphone 3g locked up owner is dead would to retrieve the photos ONLY.

You can try what @imobl suggests, which addresses the legal aspects, but if the phone is locked with a passcode there is no way technologically to get content off the phone. The iPhone is a secure device, designed to be that way, so even if Apple was served with a court order to extract data from the phone they would be physically unable to. iPhones have 5 different ways to sync data from a phone; with any luck the owner used at least one of them:
Part of a backup to iTunes - there are apps that can extract data from an iTunes backup if it is not encrypted
Part of a backup to iCloud. The backup can be restored to another iOS device on the same Apple ID
Photo Stream, where photos are sent in near real time to other users
Sync photos via USB cable to a computer
Photo Sharing, a library in iCloud that can be shared with others - this is real time.
In addition, there are 3rd party products that an owner can use to save or share photos: Google Picasa, Shutterfly, dropbox, box.com, etc.
