IOS 7 upgrade control center won't show, why?

Just upgraded to IOS 7 on my Ipad 2. All the swiping from the bottom in the world does not bring up Control Center.
It showed up once just after I disconnected it from my PC because I thought this might be a way to reload IOS 7.
But it's not. Is there a way to reload IOS 7 without wiping everything out? If I've backed up on Itunes will this guarantee
I don't lose anything if there is a way to reload the IOS updrade?
Is there a way to reload the upgrade?

Go to settings/control center/make sure both options are turned on
You can also try this
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
If that doesn't work then backup and then restore the device as new first (to isolate cause of the issue). Then from backup if necessary.
Make sure iTunes is updated to the latest version

Why is ios 7 control center inaccesable with ipad case?

My iPad case is cloth and in Landscape, which is how I use it, the ios 7 control center is completely inaccessible. I have to actually bend back the cover and stick my finger down in between the iPad and the cover in order to swipe, and it still only works occasionally. Not to mention the damage to the case. Why doesn't Apple provide another option or raise the swipe point a few centimeters? It is very frustrating as I rely on quick access to the brightness control and suddenly my work is negatively effected.

None of the screen itself ifs covered. Just the black border. So there is no obstruction. But to swipe ones finger must have a sort of head start I guess. It is a ridiculous problem. There should be a shortcut or another option

Notification and Control Center does not show

Hi,
Sometimes (I don't know exactly under which circumstances) on my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.2), Notification and Control Center won't appear with swipe gestrue.
In this situation, When iPhone is locked and a notification (like message or phone call) arrives, the screen ALWAYS shows that notification and the screen is always on, until I arraive and lock it manually !! The second one is a serious problem beacuse after some hours the battery drops dramatically.
ONLY a reboot solves this probelm.
Is there any solution to this topic rather than reboot?

Same problem! I have a 4 though so maybe that's the problem? What iphone do you have?

We often have days when we don't have the opportunity to recharge our iPhones adequately. At such times conserving battery power is paramount. However, the buttons for Cellular Data and Location require several steps each to turn on and off.
Please add buttons for Cellular Data and Location to the Control Center so they can be accessed easily to better conserve battery power.

No, it is a core component of iOS and not user configurable, with one exception. On the iPad, under general settings, there is the option of what to use the side switch for - mute, or lock rotation. Changing that will change the corresponding (right-most) button in NC. However, that does not apply to an iPhone anyway.
BTW, just us fellow users here, so submitting this via the Apple feedback link was the right way to actually get the idea seen by Apple.

Hi,
Maybe it is just me that is a little slow.
But is it possible to change the short-cuts in the new iOS 7 control center?
Because I've got no use for Bluetooth, flight mode or the alarm. I would rather if I could customize it, take control over the control center.
Like VPN instead of flight mode, or settings instead of Bluetooth.
Is that possible somehow?

After updating to iOS 8 notification and control center won't open when unlocked

Ever since I updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 8, the notification and control center will not open while my phone is unlocked. I checked to see if I had it disabled in settings and it turns out I did not. I switched the Access Within Apps as well as the Access While Locked on and off anyway but still nothing. I can only pull the notification and control center open while my phone is locked... it is extremely annoying. I know I'm not the only one though because my friend who updated to iOS 8 on his 5c was having the exact same problems. Some help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

So yesterday vibration suddenly started working again, after nearly two weeks with the problem above. I have no idea why, I didn't change any settings and the only app that was updated yesterday was Facebook messenger...

discovered problem. the cover of my "defender" case is the issue. I tried removeing it and it works fine. sadly the cover is incorporated into the case.

Do you have a bulky case with an edge near the bottom of the screen?

Last point...who archives? On my regular email page I now have the Archive icon to the left of my Delete icon which I would prefer was to the left, first in the line as this is the icon I use mostly. With Folders, my Sent and Trash lists, who needs to archive?
I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be.

Upgrade Control Center

I moved audit data from existing Runtime Repository(R1) to New Control Center(R2). After that I upgraded locations to make them Valid. Then we have to run tcl script to upgrade the locations information in design repository. In that tcl code we have to set CC_Name. In comments it says Control Center name like below.
Please assign the name of the Control Center to the following TCL variable:-
set CC_NAME cc_name
Here what is cc_name? Is it control center created at Connection Explorer other than default control center? Which name we have to give? I tried to give Control Center Name which were created at Connection Explorer and Runtime Repository name etc. It was giving error that it couldn't find control center.
If anybody knows please explain here.

Screen Rotation from Catalyst Control Center won't stick

I recently upgrade all my software on my laptop (T23, model 2668-J3U, docked in a docking station), both installing XP SP3, and installing all the upgrades through the Thinkpad System Update tool. I have 2 external flat screen displays connected (one on digital one analog) and I use the rotation feature. However, since upgrading, I've tried using the Catalyst Control Center to rotate my screens but cannot get it to "stick". The option is there to rotate and i've tried mutliple combinations, but no matter what I do the screen flickers (like it's going to rotate), but then flickers back to the landscape settings.
I've checked forums on this site as well as googled on the internet but haven't been able to find anything on the subject.
Is there some other trick to get the rotation feature to stick? You help is much appreciated as I rely on rotated screens for many reasons.

I work in Tech support in the UK for a hospital and i have recently come across this issue on our HP5850's.
They are using the HP drivers built on catalyst 8.4, and also had SP3 installed and the screens would NOT rotate.
After much faffing around and eventually coming across this site we tried uninstalling SP3 and now the screen rotates fine.
So, whilst i do not wish to argue with Lancelspencer (last poster), removing SP3 DOES fix the issue.

IOS 8 Control Center and Notification Center not transparent?

I updated my iPhone 4S to IOS 8 and I have noticed that my friends Control Center, Notification Center and toolbar at the bottom are partially transparent but mine Control Center and toolbar are grey and Notification Center is black. I have tried many times turn on and off "reduce transparency". Is there another way to fix this?

If you go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Increase Contrast>Off it should change it. I had the same problem.

CUIC - Control Center - Device is showing Unkown

Hi,
I installed CUIC 8.5.3 in VMWare and none of the reports are showing any data. All of the data sources are showing online, but when I look in the Control Center the CUIC device is showing as Unknown and I am not able to Shutdown/Start/Reset it. The options are grayed out. Is this normal behavior?

No, it's not. Do you have DNS, can you ping yourself from the cli? I've never installed CUIC on a VM, so don't know for sure if it will work, but can't see that it wouldn't.

IOS 7 control center isnt working for me

Im swiping up, but the control center isnt coming up. I swipe down and get the notification center and search bar, but the control center will not work. In settings everything is on green. I have the iphone 5. I do have a screen protector, but why would the notification center work? Help please

Yup the **** otter box kept me from getting too low. I didn't really think of it because the notification center to swipe down works just fine, and it's just as bulky on top. I really have to shove my finger down at the bottom of the screen to get it to work. I hope they maybe adjust it just a tad to make it easier for people with bulky cases. Ive dropped this phone more than a few times and still in great condition from the case
