I have an iPhone 5.I'm trying to download ios 7. The file shows that it's starting to download, but doesn't move at all. I have fast wifi. How can I fix this?
Because a few million of your closest friends are trying to download it too.
This NEVER works out well on release day. Keep tryiing, or better yet, give it a few days.

I'm having the same problem. I have checked the status and it says the location of the song is in iCloud. When I click on the cloud next to the song, not thing happens. It's been like that for 3 days. It does say it's "waiting"
Also, when I manually add album art, nothing happens. Still shows the generic iTunes icon. -

Ios 8 won't download on my iphone 5
So, I ended up backing up my phone and tried to restore it the day ios 8 came out. Now when I try to restore it, in the past 5 days, the download to update my phone times out after 5 minutes and fails. Keep in mind I am doing this through iTunes not cloud. At first I thought the apple servers were just overloaded but now after 5 days, I am still having this issue. My friends have no problem downloading the update so I am wondering if its just me or if there is a way around it. I tried to manually download the update from apple on my computer but this issue is still occurring where it just times out and the download fails.

It is not clear from your post whether you are attempting to install the iOS 8.0.2 from iTunes or over the air. If doing over the air I would suggest trying it using iTunes from your computer. See this article -

Bought music from iPhone won't download to iPhone Waiting limbo...
I just bought a cd off of the iPhones iTunes music store. Now all the songs are just queued up in the download section with Waiting under it. I am connected via wi-fi and had tried 3 or 4 times to reboot the phone. Any help?
Update! Now my phone will not stay on for more than 5 minuets. It will lock up and shut itself down. Thank you apple..

7.1 won't download on iphone 5
Every time I try to download the new 7.1 update on my iphone 5, it starts to download but then stops by giving me an error message. At that point, I try it again and get the same result. I downloaded onto our iPad mini last night with no trouble. Suggestions?
What is the error message? Are doing this in iTunes on your computer?

Have no idea why the update just gets past the agreement screen and then doesn't go any furhter? I had no problems at all with my 4th generation iPod touch when testing the software update. Any ideas??? Thanks!
Why won't it let you update? Are you connected to wifi? Because if not, that will solve your problem. If you've had a message pop up saying "error occured while downloading", that has nothing to do with your actual phone. If it said that, it is because the servers are busy from everyone else downloading the update. I hope this helped, you weren't very specific so hope you figure it out.

After trying numerous times to download OS5, no luck. I'm getting error code 3259. Anyone know if that means anything, or is it that Apple doesn't have enough bandwidth?

Well, the fact that you can ping it means A. the server is up and running and B. your OS can access that server but the iTunes program cannot. Typically third party security software. Assure that if any are running, they are fully disabled. Make a sweep of your installed pieces of security software, and go as far as uninstalling ones that show up in the list of installed programs, even if they don't seem to be running.
You can do -n 50 at the end of your "ping gs.apple.com" and it will ping it 50 times. That should give you a good idea of any actual packet loss. Do -n 1000 and wait about 10 minutes, which will give you an even more realistic look at any actual packet loss. If there isn't any, it's probably software related.
Finally, test it on another Windows user account. -
I bought the Calorie King App & even though it shows on list of apps to sync in iTunes, and even though it downloads w/out a problem to my iPad, it won't download to iPhone. I have enough memory for app; I have rebooted phone; I have erased & reloaded phone.....nothing works. Any suggestions?
It might still be installed, but a bug might be causing it not to appear. Try these:
Do a Spotlight search. On the home screen, swipe down from any icon to bring down the Spotlight search bar. Search for Nike - it might show up.
Do a soft reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons for about 10 - 15 seconds or until the phone turns off and the Apple logo appears, at which point let go of the buttons. Unlock your iPhone and look for the app.
Reset your home screen layout (this will delete any folders and place all of your apps on the home screen). Open Settings, then go to General - Reset - Reset Home Screen Layout. After the process completes try looking for the app.

I just got the iPhone 5. When I connect it to itunes it says I need itunes 10.7. I downloaded that but it won't update because I need iOS 10.6.8. I downloaded iOS 10.6.8 but it says it won't download it becuase I need iOS 10.6. However, when I do software update it says all my systems are up to date and that 10.6 on itunes is the current version and iOS 10.5 is the current version. Please help.

What a joke Apple is. So many problems with restoring and updating phones. Definitely NOT users friendly anymore. A simple update to iOS7 causes MASSIVE mayhem and bricks 10's of thousands of phones WTG Apple. Hope Samsung smashes you out of the phone market. I will NEVER buy another Apple product again. You will NEVER see this on Android phones NEVER!!!

IPhone 5 apps and music won't download. Both say waiting
My iPhone 5 running iOS 7 latest beta won't download apps. My phone worked just fine yesterday then today my apps won't download or update and my music won't download it stays in the "waiting" status and I've done hard reset logged in and out of my Apple ID and nothing changes.
No official way to fix this until the full version of iOS 7 is out in mid September, but for now the quick way to download and update is to do the following:
•Hold your finger on the icon of the app that is stuck on waiting, until wiggle mode is enabled, and remove the app
•Plug in your iOS device to iTunes and sync
•Reinstall the application from the App Store and installs and upgrades should work again
•If not, rinse and repeat this process
