IOS 8.0.2 Cannot watch/stream videos (YouTube)

Ever since I updated my iPhone 5S to iOS 8.0.2 I have not been able to watch/stream videos, such as YouTube and other videos. All I see is a spinning circle like it's buffering, only it's not. I've tried it on various wifi's and even turned off my wifi using my data-streaming and still get spinning circle of death!!! Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions or advice anyone may have is much appreciated!

  • Can't watch streaming videos anymore.

I am using Apple OS 10.4.11 (Tiger) with Flash Player 10.1 on a Desktop Emac and on a Laptop MacBook. Both computers are similar, if not identical in setup and software employed. Yesterday I could view streaming videos on both computers. Today I suddenly cannot view streaming videos on the Desktop, but I can on the Laptop. How is that possible? Webcams attempt to load on the Desktop, saying "Loading interface", but where the Laptop goes on to say "Initializing", the Desktop now says "Loading Error 102, please try again", but re-trying does not help. It is as though i have shut something off that was on before. I have tried downloading Java and Java Script, Flashplayer 10.102.64, checking to make sure no Firewall is up, Java is enabled, and everything else I have found online to try to remedy the situation, to no avail.
Occasionally, I accidentally trip an F key and have to work through it. Could I have tripped something that now won't let me watch streaming videos on my Desktop? Is that possible? I just can't find any answers. Any new suggestions?

    Open System Preferences/QuickTime
    Click the 'Streaming' tab
Set the speed to one slower than your network connection
    Check 'Enable Instant on'
Drag the slider 2-3 notches from the left
    Click the 'Browser' tab
    Check 'Play movies automatically'
Check 'Save movies in disc cache'
Slide the size selector all the way to the right
    Click 'Empty Download cache'
Close the panel and try viewing another video

  • Cannot watch any videos from Youtube

I bought a EA3500 router and the setup went fine. I have two computers on the network and both have acces to the Internet. But on one of them which runs Windows 7 and MCAfee Antivirus I cannot watch any videos from Youtube. On the other one which runs Windows XP all videos are running great. I've check the firmware version and it is the last one. I've try to disable the firewall in McAfee and it still does not work. Can someone help me. Thank you Artofmontreal

Are you still on the classic firmware or are you using cisco connect cloud? It might have something to do with the media prioritization.  As long as you did not prioritize a certain device or computer over another, the router should allow all devices to stream.

  • Problems trying to watch streamed video

Browsers: Internet Explorer 11 and Foxfire
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional x 64 bit
    Adobe Flash Player 15 ActiveX
    Adobe Flash Player 15 Plugin
    Adobe Flash Shockwave Player 12.1
When I attempt to watch streamed video < cbc website: http://www.cbc.ca/murdochmysteries/episodes/season-7/midnight-train-to-kingston > for example.
A drop-down shows up in the middle of the screen and I cannot get rid of it.
    Adobe Flash Player Settings
Local Settings - request to store up to 10 KB
If I right clock, a second box appears for Local Settings. This box I am familiar with... the problem is that I cannot effect any adjustments.
This is a new development and very annoying. It only happens in the two User Accounts, but not in the Administrator Account.

The easiest way to deal with this is to avoid having the dialog pop-up.
Go to Control Panel > Flash Player > Storage > Allow sites to save information on this computer.

  • Sound interruption when watching streaming video

I have an Apple TV and use it to watch Netflix and Youtube.  After upgrading to ios 8,  I experienced frequent sound interruptions when watching streaming video
Has anyone else experienced this problem?  I have a third generation Apple TV.

I was able to fix the sound issue by changing the resolution to "720P -HD" instead of "Auto".  Not ideal but it works.

  • How can I hook up my Sony surround sound to Apple TV to watch streaming videos?

How can I hook up Apple TV to my Sony surround sound to watch streaming video from Netflix?

    Which Apple TV is it?
There should be outputs you can use for video/audio. The latest Apple TV has HDMI out. Find the correct cable that matches your TV and follow Sony's user manual to hook everything up correctly.

  • Watching streaming videos on TV through iPad mini

My parents have an iPad mini. I got them a subscription to netflix and would like to buy a cable to connect iPad mini to their tv so they can watch streaming videos on there. A rep from Apple told me that there is no such cable and I must buy Apple TV.  Is that correct?
Thanks in advance for any help or adivce.

only apps which were made to support av out will display on the tv
test with the build in apple video app
if it does work and whatever other app don't the fault is with the other app not with the ipad and or cable

  • Firefox Problems Watching Streaming Video (Netflix, Hulu, etc.)

I have Netflix, hulu, VH1, etc. accounts that I use currently to watch movies, t.v. shows, videos, etc. online (desktop) as my only means to any entertainment. I continually have problems with unexpected pauses, starts/stops, "getting stuck" & having to reboot.
I use the free version of Advanced Care Systems to "maintain" my computer. In the last month, I must used the ACS several times a day in order to watch streaming video. Something is obviously wrong. The last time I tried Google Chrome to watch, I did not have the same issues as often.
I love Firefox so I'd like to know what I can do to "fix" this problem.

What type of internet service do you have? Cable, satallite, dialup or DSL?
Have you contacted your ISP to determine if the problem is on their end?

We are getting ready to purchase the new imac 27" and would like to know which is the best configuration for watching streaming video, the fusion drive or the more expensive flash drive.  We will have a fast fiberoptic internet connection.

the harddisk speed mean nothing when it comes to streaming video from the internet
even the fastests internet using fiberoptics is still much slower then the slowests harddisk you can buy

Quicktime 7.2 often unexpectedly quits while I watch streaming video.
I tried - installing quicktime again, - using cable for internet instead of wireless, made a new account on my mac - got rid of the qt preferences -.. nothing works, it still quits while I watch online video.
    who has the solution?

i am having the same problem, except when i try to open it using itunes it also closes down and gives me that error message. I also tried opening the files with nero and the problem occurs there also. i wish there was a fix for this because quicktime 6 worked great.

  • Problem watching streaming video

    Hi
I have problem watching streaming video. I was trying to watch an Apple Special Event called "It's Showtime" and I always get QuickTime window with white square, QuickTime icon in the meddle and moving progressing bar, no video or audio. I tried to change the QuickTime preferences using the following support link:
    http://seminars.apple.com/seminarsonline/wctest/apple/level2/wctest.html
but I'm getting the same results.
I tried the following: QuickTime Preferences / Advanced /Transport Setup: Custom/Transport Protocol :HTTP and Port ID: 80
    I'm using QuickTime 7.1.5
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Repair permissions from your Tiger DVD. See if this helps. If not, try the following:
To fix a QT related problem w/Safari, quit Safari & look in the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder (this is the Library folder at the root level of your HD, not the one inside your Users/user name folder).
Try removing the VLC Plugin.plugin (if you have it) & QT Plugin.plugin files from this folder, & then relaunch Safari. If the problem isn’t fixed, a different plug-in may be to blame. Keep removing files from this folder (start with any third-party plug-ins that are present) until the problem disappears.
Replace the plug-ins that don’t cause any problems.

If none of the above works and/or no one else suggestions works out, suggest you try to view the video from another browser. Safari isn't the only browser in town.
Please post back with your results.
    Good luck!

  • I cannot watch yahoo videos using your service; switch to internet explorer to watch; do I need to delete your serverice and switch to internet explorer?

I cannot watch yahoo videos using your service; switch to internet explorer to watch; do I need to delete your serverice and switch to internet explorer? I would like that question answered first.

Hi kaylenmar, I assume videos play normally for you on YouTube and other sites.
There have been several long threads about Yahoo! videos and what might make them different from other sites. The upshot is that different people have found different problems and different solutions. For example, extensions that filter or block ads or prevent tracking can cause problems, as can the click-to-play feature.
One approach that worked for most people who mentioned trying it is to switch to Firefox 24, which is in the final two weeks of its beta testing period. You can expect a few more rough edges with a beta version than with the released version. However, it might be worth it if you don't like switching browsers to watch Yahoo videos.
I suggest making a backup of your Firefox settings folder before installing Firefox 24. This article has tips on doing that: [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]].
Firefox 24 beta is available here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/

  • All of a sudden I cannot watch any videos using Firefox, not even from YouTube. Why?

All of a sudden I cannot watch any videos using Firefox. All I get is a square black box. I can see them if I use Safari. Why isn't my Firefox working? What can I do? Thanks.

Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.
    Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache
or Firefox->Preferences->Advanced->Network -> Offline storage -> [Clear Now]
Try clearing the Youtube cookie in Firefox->Preferences->Privacy
    refresh page.
If that still does not work then try making the youtube url as http'''s'''://
It is apparently a issue with Youtube as people with other browsers are getting the same. http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?hl=en&tid=3cda4dac122b8f13

  • Watching streaming video on an 867mhz TiBook?

I'm struggling to watch streamed video content on my 867mhz TiBook and wondered whether there was anything I could do to make content run properly? It's running 10.4.11 with 1GB RAM, using Safari. I'm trying to watch BBC i-Player content.
    Thanks

    1. Don't have any other applications or operations running at the same time.
    2. If you can download the video first and then watch it from your hard drive instead of streaming it in real time, do so.
    3. Check with your ISP to see whether they offer an option providing greater bandwidth and faster download speeds.
    4. If you use cable internet, watch streaming video during off-peak hours when there's less competition for the available bandwidth.
    5. Expect the steadily growing demands of multimedia-laden websites to make your Powerbook completely obsolete for such uses before long. Some would tell you it already is obsolete, and they aren't far wrong.

Downloaded iOS 7 and now cannot access the video  resources for my open university course, any ideas?

If they have a tech support line I'd call your university. EIther their stuff isn't working with iOS7 or maybe they have some insight as to why it doesn't work.
