Ios 8.0.2 killed my iphone 5

My iPhone 5 was working well on the ios 8 and I never seen the update to the 8.0.1 but I seen the update to 8.0.2 and so I updated. And I really shouldn't have. My phone now says I need to factory reset my phone and it wont turn on. The screen lights up to the cord and red itunes circle when I plug it into my iMac. But other then that the phone don't work. I'm very ****** off.......apple needs to get their thinking caps on and get this figured out and thats in a hurry.
Now I just tried to restore the phone cause it won't let me do anything else. And now after it downloaded the update it's tell me there was a error. And I'll have to try again.

I'm having differents issues since I updated to IOS 8.0.2.... I've done several restores puting the device into Recovery mode, tried differents PC, tried to configure as new iphone etc. etc.
What happens to me is that right after doing the installation and registration process of the "new iphone" the device gets totally frozen, absoluty laggy, the home button does not response, screen does not work... the device gets totally stuck; which is pretty strange because the screen and buttons works well only on the registration process.

IOS 5.0.1 Kills My iPhone 4 Battery

I have an iPhone and before doing the iOS 5.0.1 update my battery would last 2 days easy and sometimes 3 depending on usage. I religiously do the updates that Apple sends out and did the iOS 5.0.1 update last week and now my battery won't even get through an 8 hour day. It is very frustrating. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

Hmmm. It actually worked for me. My phone was loosing 5%/hr on standby in iOS 5.0 with everything enabled, location services, etc. 5.0.1 decreased that to 1%/hr.
Background Processes:
I also killed all the background procs. All the procs that are running in the backgraound are restarted in the background even after a reboot. Is this a feature? It seems to me a reboot of the iPhone should kill all background procs and they should only be restarted again opon manually selecting the application. When I first checked the background procs by double clicking the home button, there were 50 or so running. Everything that I had started since buying the iPhone was a background process. This is possibly the difference between users. If some users have procs running in the background that aren't actuallly sleeping, but are chewing up cpu cycles and battery... there ya go. It all depends on the app, who wrote it, and how well it behaves. I for one obtained better battery life by killing these procs.

I've just installed ios 7.0.6 on my iphone 4 and now lost voice on outgoing and incoming calls.It rings on incoming and I'm told rings on the recipient's 'phone, but then no vocal communication...its just dead. My simm is ok, i've checked it, I've done a full clean and restore of the 'phone. Still no calls.
I've not caused any physical or water damage to the 'phone. I would welcome any help/suggestions to get my calls back asap.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
Also consider deleting and reinstalling the Mail Account in question.

Welcome, sorry to hear your news, there are numerous threads on this issue. Try the trouble shooting on the other threads, I do not recommend sticking it in the freezer or heating with a hair dryer though,
If it's within warranty and trouble shooting doesn't work, get it. Ack to apple ASAP and get it replaced.
Many others are in the same position, who also have a 4s

How can u downgrade. Apple doesn't allow that. Unless your iPhone 5 is jail broken. iOS 7 isn't even out yet. There Is no way u can get iOS 7 unless it was beta. And if so beta is having some issues.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with your iPhone's camera. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
You see a closed lens or black screen
If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping (camera swap icon). If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

Camera isn't functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
