IOS 8.0.2 - loss of music playing functionality after updating

My daughter updated her Iphone 5C with the new 8.0.2 update via iTunes as she was short of memory on her phone and did not want to lose her music and photos. Following the update she has lost a lot of photos and only some of the music has synchronised and most of this will not play but just keeps skipping to the next song. She now has a very reduced playlist & is very unhappy!

If the issue persists, it sounds like the Accessibility option “Greyscale” may have been accidecanlly enabled. You can configure this option in Settings > General > Accessibility:

IPOD Touch music playing functions

Seems like Apple has cut down on the music playing functions on the iPOD Touch. I cannot have my Touch to shuffle by albums. And when I stop listening to a song, it won't pick up to where I left when I start listening again. So I have to remember which album I was listening and to which song I was. These are simple functions that were left out on the Touch and it's kind of a bummer. I hope this will be corrected on a future update. All the other applications are very cool, but let's not forget that the primary use for an iPOD is to play music.

Does the iPod still charge and syn with the computer?
Try the stamdard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

If you are on Version 11.0.1 rather than 11 Apple put it back in
View > Show Duplicates
Option + View > Show Exact Duplicates
so if you are on 11 upgrade to 11.0.1 and you will have it

ITunes v11.0.3.42 plays quickly after update

Hi,
After update to v11.0.3.42 iTunes started working not good. Music is playing so fast. Do you have any idea about this issue?.
I do not have any apple product. It's only used to lisen to music. Previous version did not have issues.

I had a similar problem when I updated itunes. All of the music disappeared from the phone and none of the songs in the itunes library were playable ( they all had "!"beside them) It turned out that either the mapping for an external network drive was lost for itunes and that drive had the music or the external drive went off line from the network. Once I got the drive back on the network. and restarted itunes I could then sync the music back to the phone.

Music player problem after updating the latest ver...

After updating the latest version for my phone, everything seems perfect. But today i see there is a serious problem of the music player. I still can play the music but i cannot change to another song or exit the player because whenever i do that, it is frozen (only music player).
Does everyone have the same problem and knows how to make it work smoothly again? Thanks

HI even my phone has stopped responding. I had a backup file in .nbu format created using the PC suite. I restored the phone using the backup file but it didnot help me. I cannot play even 3 songs consecutively, the player is getting hang and I am forced to restart. Please do not update your firmware. All the problems after I updated my firmware to 40.0.005 version. I am planning to take my phone to nokia care and reset the whole software once again so that it comes with the factory settings.

I am having the same problem. Very disappointed. This happened with the beta 3 version and I uninstalled and reverted back to iOS6. This is a huge problem not just a minor big and a fix needs to be sent out ASAP. I assumed once I upgraded to final iOS7 release this would be fixed.
The problem is you don't get a missed notification and the only way you know if someone has called is if they live voicemail.
It's sporadic and a cause for headache due to missing important calls. Please assure us this will be fixed and how soon.

Movies ar played louder after updating to 10.4.9

After updating to 10.4.9, i've noticed that my mp4-movies are played much louder than before. I verified this by re-installing from the installation media (10.4.4) where the volume seems to be normal. By now, if i set the volume slider to the minimal level, the movie still plays loud enough to prevent me from sleeping (yes, i use the imac in my bedroom).
Does anyone have an idea why that update did this and how to fix this without downgrading back to 10.4.8?

Sorry to be the only "happy camper" but my MacBook was never loud enough until this 4.9 update. I'm glad that I don't need to "crank it up" all the way to the top.
Could you turn down your pre-amp setting on iTunes? I would assume the setting would carryover into Front Row, but maybe not.

Music is not playing continuously after update to iOS 5.0.1

After my upgrade to iOS 5.0.1, my iPhone 4S is not playing music continuously. I have to que/press play after each song... Has anyone experience this and has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I upgraded to 5.0 today on my 3GS and when I went to playmy music in my Chevy via USB, the display indicates that there is no music found. Has anyone else seen this yet?

IPhone4s updated to IOS.7 unable to sync music with iTunes after updated to 11.1

I just recently updated both my iPhone4s to IOS.7 and iTunes to 11.1, but since then I haven't been able to sync any of my music.
I tried everything:
- I restarted my iTunes and iPhone and my PC a couple of times
- Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes
- Syncing with wifi and other options repeatedly *Manually managing music as well
- thorough check of album or song errors
- restored iPhone
- creating a new library playlist
- and other suggested measures to be taken provided through discussions
At the end it always ends up syncing to the very last step "Waiting for changes to be applied" ; everything is working nothing is frozen or glitched, the syncing arrows that go around also work, but after sometime the arrows stop and then it just doesn't seem to proceed after that step.
Can someone please find a solution for this? Or atleast give me some other methods that might solve my problem. If this is a bug, please do make some update arrangements to fix this error! >.<

ITunes won't play music on iPad after update to iOS5.

iTunes still appears to be present on the iPad following the load of iOS5, and music tracks are displayed, but it won't play any of the tracks. Has anyone successfully resolved this problem?
Why is there no way of directly contacting Apple to inform them that their software doesn't work, without buying service from them? I would have thought that this is the sort of thing they would want to know PDQ.
Looking at the other questions, there are a large number of errors caused by uploading this new release.

My wife did find a partial solution. She deleted all music tracks, and reloaded, but without converting to .aac format. The iPad will now play music.

Music folder empty after update to iOS 5/Musikordner leer

After an update to iOS 5 no music is shown in the music folder of my Ipod touch 4 (64 GB) any more.
But the titles are shown in ITunes on my mac when I link the pod. So, they are all there but they are not shown.
A new synchronisation does not help. Who can help?
