IOS 8.0.2 update made my iPhone enter to DFU mode!
I was updating my iPhone to iOS 8.0.2 in the device, and when the update began the iPhone poped-up the Connect to iTunes screen, now it is on DFU Mode and iTunes cannot update my iPhone, it just appear the iPhone logo and I can't ever get in that window, please help me.

The iOS 7.0.6 update failed, my iPhone 5S disappeared from iTunes and now is displaying a picture iTunes logo and a USB plug and black backgraound. Turning it Off and On didn't fix it. iTunes doesn't see it. Any suggestions?

I've tried http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and other suggestions first, which turned out unrelated.
I've finally fixed the issue by plugging the cable in the USB 3 ports in the back of PC instead of the ports in the front, the iTunes saw the phohe and the recovery started automatically.
In the hindsight, I realized that the either the required prerequisite iTunes 11.1.5.5 update installed a USB driver incompatible with my PC's front side USB ports that I always used for my iPhone syncing prior or it was always
incompatible, but worked in all modes except the recovery.

currently at ios 7.1.. suddenly my iPhone entered into recovery mode without any reasons.. i tried using iTunes restore the iPhone.. after the process finished... I still stuck at recovery mode. any idea?
i have tried to restore via itunes as i would have usually, half way through i get an error code 3194 pop up.....and yes i do back up.

Please somebody help me !!!! I just got back from Paris and Israel and this update got my iphone 5 in recovery mode. I can't loose all my pics and videos from my vacations ??????????????????????????????????
NOO it's not broken it is a software error. What you need to do is put your phone into what is called DFU mode or Device Firmware Upgrade Mode. What you have to do is connect your phone to itunes but do not start the sync process. Ignore any popups from itunes initially. When you are connected to itunes take your phone and hold down the home button and power button at the same time. Hold them down for about 30 seconds or so and you should see your device screen rollover to the black screen and disconnect from itunes once this happens it will reboot and automatically connect to iTunes, after this happens start the restore process through itunes and it should continue past the error message.
* Also before you do this try ejecting your sim card if you have the at&t model if you are on Verizon ignore this. There is a small oval port on the right side of the phone with a small pinhole. Use a paperclip and insert it into the hole, the door will pop open. Take the door out, remove the sim card and wait 5 minutes then return the sim card back into the phone and begin the above process.
If none of this works you may just want to bring it the genius bar and have them look at it. Good Luck and I hope this helps! -

Hi, my iPhone was water damaged, and was stuck in dfu but wouldn't restore due to error 2001, this is what I did,
The phone is not jail broke or unlocked its straight, I striped the phone and cleaned all the boards and let them dry
Out, I've heard that if an I-device has error remove the power supply for a few days, and since royal mail thought my battery was a packet of drugs they ript the back of and snapped the battery cable, I am perusing royal mail about the damage they have done, so I got a knew batt and put it all together, I pressed the on button and the home button for ten seconds, then web I started to boot I let go of the on button, waited for ten seconds and the phone came up as normal, no connect to I-tunes screen, I put the USB lead in and restored my phone to a bran new phone and then updated it to the latest firmware, the phone is fine, every thing works and it turns on and of with no problems, I hope this helps people out their.

IOS 4.2.1 update problems on iPhone 3G
I have noticed a few problems with the update. My iPhone is now back to being slow and choppy. My battery drains a lot faster. And when I go to the app store, it will only show some of the pictures of the apps, I have to close it and open it again to make it start showing pictures again. Also, my signal strength on both the cell service and WIFI fluctuate more that it did prior to the update. I have never seen my WIFI signal drop inside my house until I updated to this version of the iOS.
Also, about the slow and choppy problem....prior to iOS 4.2.1, a Genius Bar employee told me to re-setup the phone as new and then sync all my info. back on the phone. It was a pain to deal with reseting all of my setting, however it did help the speed of the phone on iOS 4.1 and I was enjoying my iPhone again, however as soon as I updated to iOS 4.2.1, it was back to being slow and choppy as I noted above.Bought an iPhone 3GS, so this is no longer an issue.

IOS 8.0.2 update on an iPhone 6.

I went to put some music on my iPhone 6 and when I plugged it into iTunes a notification popped up saying iOS 8.0.2 is available, would you like to upgrade. I clicked yes and it went ahead updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.0.2 and it went through the downloading process and then it said waiting for iPhone on the top bar of iTunes. My iPhone was in recovery mode and nothing was changing on iTunes. So I unplugged my iPhone from my PC and plugged it in again. I had an error come up on my screen that said iTunes failed to update my iPhone. Now every time I try to plug in my iPhone to iTunes, It makes the connection noise so I know the cable isn't broken but iTunes doesn't recognise anything is plugged in. What should I do to resolve this issue ?
Thanks, Taylor.Can't explain what went wrong with the update you describe, but you may want to do a couple of things that may not have anything to do with the issue, but are worth trying...
Unplug the USB cable from the computer and then close iTunes. Reboot the Computer and plug your USB / lightning cable to a different USB port. If you remember the orientation of the lightning plug, turn it over and plug it into the iPhone. Open iTunes and wait and see if the App sees your iPhone. If yes, then click on the iPhone button on iTunes and see if the Summary page shows your iPhone to be using 8.0.2 or if it says an Update is Available.
If none of that works, you may need to put the iPhone in DFU Mode and set it up as a New in the box iPhone. Don't know if your Backup is recent with regard to avoiding the loss of any Media, Photos, Data or other. In any case you could Restore the iPhone without using your Backup at first and see if the iPhone Restores fully and works as expected. If yes, you could then Restore your Backup to the iPhone.
If you are sure you have a good Backup available to put your iPhone in full recovery mode you hold the Home button while plugging the lightning cable into the iPhone and a graphic should appear on the iPhone screen that symbolizes your need to Restore using iTunes. Open iTunes and wait for your iPhone button to appear then depress that button on the iTunes Screen. The Summary page will then show you the Restore button. Depress it and go through the process. -

If he cannot remember that, there is nothing you can do to change that. DFU mode will not correct that. It will be locked and cannot be activated, period.

I have iphone 4 and 5. I havent use my iphone 4 for awhile and i decided to use it after i found it and update it to ios7. Then it got stuck in the logo and wont turn on. I kept trying and trying for many days and it keep giving me 3194 error. My phone keep rebooting. Then i finally found solution in windows support (fixit) and finally its restoring but in the middle of restoring it, itunes stop working. It gave me apple logo with line below it (like when ur loading something). i waited for awhile but nothing happen and itunes is like normal but wont go back to restore even after i took it off and plug it back. It just give me blank screen. I dont know what to do now. Itunes wont restore but it connect to itune in dfu mode. I downloaded redsnow to take it off from dfu mode but still useless. Im running out of idea. ive done the manual taking the dfu mode but it still give me blank screen but definately my phone still work since it connect to the computer. It wont sync or anything tho. Plz help

I am not able to restore my iPhone 4 from DFU mode.......
I have an iPhone 4 and it has gone into DFU mode, and now when I try to restore it through my windows 8 pc, it shows an error in iTunes (in computer) saying that "Error 1600" and it does not restore and goes back to DFU mode.......Please assist me......
Plug it into your computer and contineously hold the power and home buttons, it will take around 15 seconds, but you will see the Apple logo and your iPhone will be back to normal.
