IOS 8.02 Memory Challenge & Photos

I have an I-phone 5 that I loaded 8.0 on it and have had problems accessing my photo's with a number of Apps and my camera roll disappeared with over 4,000 photos. It's now impossible to find a specific photo unless I go into each photo roll (day, or few days or however they are automatically made).
It thought it would be fixed in the 8.02 version, but I can't load the update since it says my phone does not have enough memory. I need over 1 GB of memory and I have a 64 GB phone with about 140 Apps.
Where can I find the memory to update the phone? I erased all 141 movies I had and only gained 100 MB of memory. Help?

When Family Sharing is turned on, a shared album is set up automatically in the Photos app on all family members’ devices. Then everyone can add photos, videos, and comments to the album and be notified when something new is added

All pics taken with the iphone should be imported to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update/restore/etc.
If you have failed to do this then they are very likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

The first gen iPad has a slower processor (A4) than the iPad 2 (dual-core A5) and iPad 3 (dual-core A5X) and 4 (A6X), and it also has less memory - 256 meg, compared to the iPad 2's 512 meg and the iPad 3 and 4's 1024 meg. My first gen iPad got noticeably slower with iOS 5 than it was with iOS 4, so I doubt that it could cope with iOS 6.

Setting Reduce Motion in your Accessibility settings (Settings -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion) can help alleviate this behavior.

I just update my iphone with the new iOS 5 and all my photos in my Camera Roll have disappeared. I did use iTunes for the upgrade. Are the photos in another place?

If you have failed to make sure that any apps purchased on the iphone were transferred to your computer before updating, then you will have to redownload.
Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links.

No photos in gallery but still 2.6GB taken from memory to photos

I deleted all my photos in my iphone and in itunes I cheack out the V from photos sync (anyway i never sync any photos from itunes before) and still when i cheack on itunes and in the iphone it self how my memory is spillted 2.6 Gb is ascribed to photos library, in itunes it saied i have 873 photos.
when I enter the photo gallery i have 0 in all the albums, I got iphone 5 IOS 8.1.2 ( I know about the deleted photos album , its emty too).
How i set free this 2.6 gb!?!?

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

Ios 7 update memory required

I am finally wishing to update my iphone 5 to ios 7 but when I tried to I got a message saying I need over 4gb of memory to do so which I do not have available. To free this up I will need to remove my music or photos. Does ios 7 need this amount of memory to operate after update? Seems rather a lot if so?

You're trying to update OTA, correct? That message is telling you there is not enough "free" space, on your phone, to download/expand & then update the iOS. You'll get the space back once your phone is updated. So, if you don't want to delete anything, use iTunes, on your computer, to update your phone. You won't have to delete anything if you do that.

Please Help, Restored iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Lost Photos, Messages and Whatsapp Chats

I hope someone can help me with this, the stuff I've lost is so important to me it's actually scary. I can't beleive this has happened.
I last synced my iPhone 4s on the 29th August, there's been nothing majorly important put on since then so I can cope with losing the stuff that was saved in the interim.
Anyway, over the last few days when I connected the phone to iTunes i got an error message saying iTunes can't recognise the iPhone. Restore the iPhone in order to rectify this. So i downloaded iOS 5.1.1.
Then Last night i did restore the phone and install the new iOS... The restore went ok, but when it came to sync the phone from my last sync on the 29/08/2012 it said the sync could not be saved to the phone??? The phone had the correct contacts, music etc...but no photos... The Camera Roll has disappeared, all my previous SMS/iMessages and my conversations in Whatapp, my call history, my reminders in my Calendar, my Stocks, the cities I've listed in my Weather App.... you get the idea!
So at this point I restored the phone again and the same thing happened, however when I got the error message saying that the sync couldn't be saved to the phone then I tried again, and it synced successfully, but I think it's to this new "version/state" of the phone... So now my most recent sync for the phone was on the 12th August and all the photos, messages etc were missing when it went through...
How can I get my original stuff back? There were hundreds of photos on there that are of huge importance and I'm gutted at the thought of losing them.
Any Help would be hugely appreciated guys. I'm at a dead end here...

Photo Sharing in ios 6 shows all my photo streaming pictures

I decided to test the photo sharing feature in ios 6. I created an album and sent it to myself and was horrified to see that not only could I access the test album, but ALL my photo streamed pictures were available for viewing. I created another album, sent it to a gmail email account I have and had other same issue. Next, I created a third album and send the "public sharing" link to myself: it didn't show the third album but rather the previously created second photo stream album, even though I had already deleted it.
I never had this problem with MobileMe.
ANy suggestions?

I just did the same upgrade with my 3GS. I am having a similar problem. My contacts are on the phone now, but my music and apps are not. When I try to restore the back up this is the message I get: itunes could not restore the iphone because a session could not be started.
I see my my music and apps in my itunes library, but if I try to autofill it to my phone I get this message: itunes cannot add any songs to the iphone because no songs in library can be copied to the iphone.
Can you help?

The video library is empty in iMovie on iOS after update to iCloud photo library

I updated to iCloud photo library and all of my photos and videos are now in the cloud instead of my iDevice. When I open iMovie in iDevice, the photo/video library is empty. How can I use my videos in projects?

Cannot attach multiple photos using the ' Message ' option iOS 5.0.1 in ' Photos ' app.

Since i have updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 i cannot attach multiple photos using the ' Message ' option in the ' Photos ' app.
i browse my photos and then select ' Message ' on a photo. i am then able to attach the first image to the message.
When i then select the Camera icon on the created message to add another image , either ' Choose existing ' or ' Take Photo or Video ' , it does nothing and takes you back to your existing message.
I am able to attach multiple images when accessing the iMessage app it is just from the Photos app it is occuring
is anyone else having the same issue ?

IOS 8 - mail and non-photo/video attachment

Hello, I had a really simple question regards iOS 8 (sorry if this has been answered before),
Is it yet possible to compose or reply to an email in the Mail App and insert a attachment that isn't a photo or video (e.g. word document or PDF) without leaving the mail app.
I have heard a bit about Document Picker, but not quick sure how to enable this function.

II think I found the problem. It was Apple's new Photos app and the Photos Cloud. Enabling that cloud sucked up most of my meager bandwidth as it uploaded my photo library to the cloud. When I paused the upload the problem went away! It took a week to upload my library. Unfortunately unless you avoid photos Cloud, there is no way around this issue. I don't think Apple thought this through completely before launching that app

ICloud and iOS 8: How to store photos on the cloud only?

I Thought iCloud would make me save space on my devices by keeping my photos on the cloud. But it mirrors all photos on the cloud into my device (I know iOS can store lower resolutions of the photos, but they take a lot of your device's space anyway)! You should be able to pick which photos you want to keep localy (so you can access them even with no internet) and wich photos you want to keep only on the cloud. If you want to delete photos on your device to open some space... be careful, they will also be deleted from the cloud. There is no way to erase it only locally.
I bought the 200G plan so I can access ALL my photo library using the photos app in iOS 8.
But how am I supposed to upload my entire photo library (100G of photos) to iCloud and access them using Apple's Photos app?
If I get 100G of photos into iCloud, how my devices will access the photos if all my devices have only 32g and everything should be mirrored?
is there a way to keep photos only on the cloud and not on all your devices?
I'm confused.
Am I missing something?

Wait for iCloud Photo Library to be introduced later this year. It should allow you to keep full resolution photos and videos in iCloud and access them from your devices without having to have them stored on your devices. It will use your iCloud storage plan.

Importing from Memory Card (photos taken with Olympus EP1)

I have used a mac pretty much all my life and importing photos from camera/memory cards is like second nature. I have recently started using the Olympus EP1 and transfer my photos using a card reader in my USB drive. Things have been working great until this weekend, iPhoto (my version is 7.1.5) would only import 150 images out of 446 on my memory card. All images on the card were taken on the same day with the same camera. When I tried to manually import the images by copying them to my desktop and then bringing them into iPhoto the exact same thing happened, stating them to be unreadable files. They are raw Olympus format, all of them. Why is it refusing to import the other 300?
When I open the files in the Olympus software that came with the camera, all 446 images are viewable and editable, meaning that the files are not corrupted. I did the most recent iPhoto update but same problem. I've restarted. Please help!

Yeah that is the strange thing. I've double-checked and they are all the same format: _.ORF
Can there be a raw .ORF file and a non-raw .ORF??
I've got all the images loaded into the Olympus Master 2 program (their own image editing software that comes with the camera), and iPhoto open. Master 2 is labeling them all as RAW, but only 150 of those will open in iPhoto. I can't find anywhere that states that those are not RAW, and I didn't change the picture settings on my camera...
So now I'm even more confused with your question as to how iPhoto DID load those 150 photos at all!
