IOS 8.1.2 update wrong time zone in my calandar

Since the update 8.1.2, my iPone is showing all new appointments as GMT time, but the times are wrong each time. I altered them individually and it returns to the good time. In "settings" under calendars, the "Time Zone Override" is selected. So I forced it to the Time zone without any success. It steals in time zone GMT even if I overwrited the time zone. I've tried turning off and repeat the same steps. Same issue. All the dates were created in GMT. I have seen that I'm not the only one having the same issue. Do you have any solution ? Is there a way to communicate with Apple teeling them there is a big issue with the calander? Can you tell me how I can reach them?
Thanks

  • OS has wrong time zone, so db has wrong time zone after RAC db installed

hi Guru, after the RAC db installed, and it is a alive production DB, then I realized that the os has wrong time zone which is MDT (mountain time), I want it as CDT, so I am planning to ask sys admin to change os to CDT, then I just need to bounce the db once os time zone changed? Is that right? that won't corrupted the db after os time zone change right? And this is 2 nodes RAC db, anything I need to be aware before os level timezone change?

    Hello;
Fix the time on the OS and restart the database and you should be done. Simple as that. So to answer your question Right.

  • Countdown Timer Stuck In Wrong Time-zone

Hopefully this is a simple one folks. Is there a way to change the time-zone of the countdown timer? It's in central time and I'm eastern - weird huh?

I had the same issue, it annoyed me for quite a while, and I couldn't find a solution on the web.  I then looked at "Settings --> Mail, Contacts, Calendars --> Time Zone Support" and saw that it was stuck on the wrong time zone there (which coincided with the time zone my calendar was in).  I switched off Time Zone Support and switched it back on: that corrected it.  I then returned to my calendar app again, and it was in the correct time zone.  That solved it for me.

  • HT4623 iOS 8 version 8.1.2 issues with the calendar displaying wrong TIME ZONE!

I just updated to iOS 8 using version 8.1.2 and am having issues with the calendar.  I use my GMAIL calendar and sync to my iPhone and now any calendar entries that I add from my phone display the current time zone AND GMT time.  Entries that were already there display correctly.  New entries entered from the GMAIL calendar also display correctly.  The issue is with NEW entries entered on my PHONE into the calendar.  This is very annoying and causes problems for new entries that need EDITED.  Once opened to edit it defaults to GMT time!  WRONG!!  I have turned off the automatic time zone feature and Time Zone Override in Settings but it's still WRONG!  There are multiple reports of this online so I would like to know when/if it will be corrected or if there is a fix!  Please help!!

  • After updating iOS5 time zone is wrong when auto is selected. Neither FaceTime, iMessage nor YouTube app are working.

After updating to iOS 5 cannot activate FaceTime nor iMessage on my iPad 2. I find that my time zone is wrong, when auto is selected. YouTube app continuously say "cannot connect YouTube" so is unusable.
I've already used all this features/apps with the previous OS but not now.

Thanks kat729, I tried everything and only restoring my iPad corrected this issue. Now all Apps are working properly.

  • Is my iPhone calendar reading from the wrong time zone? How do I fix it?

First, here is all the info that I have about all of the clocks on my phone: the date and time on my iPhone are set automatically to Vancouver's time zone, in the Clock app though, I've also added in the clocks for Seoul and Manila so that I know the time when I need to contact friends out there, etc. Location wise, everything else on my phone is fine: my map correctly shows where I am, the weather app shows the weather for my city and my clock changes automatically for daylight savings.
Now, when I put in an event into the calendar app, while putting in the details such as start and end time, the Time Zone slot is always set to Seoul for some reason. I have to go in and change it to Vancouver manually. Even after doing this and setting everything though, the alarm always goes off at the wrong date and time - I think it' s going off at when that time reaches Seoul, not Vancouver. So then I tried setting it again, this time, leaving the time zone as Seoul in case things were somehow just 'backward' in my phone, and still the alarm went off at the wrong date and time.
I really can't understand it and haven't got the faintest clue as to how to fix it. Any ideas??
In case this better or further explains what I'm trying to say:
I just opened a new event on my calendar. I set it to begin twenty minutes from now (5:20AM) and left the ending time as the default one hour later (6:20AM). I also did not change the time zone which is already reading Seoul for whatever reason. I hit done, I'm taken back to the main calendar page, and there it shows as it should: 5:20AM today. I then went to set second event for 5:15AM only this time, I changed the timezone to Vancouver. All the information looks correct, but this time, when I hit done and am taken to the main calendar page, that event is recorded as having been set to 21:15PM instead!!
[ I have an iPhone 4 but...I don't know what CDMA or GSM means so I'm not sure which pertains to me...]

Go to Settings>Mail, etc.>iCloud and delete the account. Then add in a new account with the details you want.

  • Wrong time zone with rss feed in iWeb

I'm using the RSS widget in iWeb, and all the RSS items are nine hours off - meaning they're on California time (I'm in Norway). The time zone is wrong even when I look at the feed in iWeb, so I don't think it's a server issue (and I'm not publishing to MobileMe).
I've found a couple of other questions about this on the board, but no answers, so here we go again... anyone? I've tried several different feeds.

Same question! There must be some command-line hack to fix this. Any one figured it out?
It's posted times in USA Pacific time by default (GMT -8). This is iWeb 3.0.1.

  • JDKs in weblogic server return wrong time zone

Hi , i am running weblogic server 8.1.4, 8.1.6 and 10 on my windows vista
all of the JDK bundled (both Sun's and JRockit) return GMT instead of my local time zone when i call Timezone.getDefault()
I am quite sure the operating system has set to correct time zone because my self installed JDK (downloaded from sun) works properly (return correct local time zone)
is that i have missed anything?
    please help.

I am noticing the same problem with iCal events imported from Orbitz. The thing is that the more I look into it the more I think this is meant as a feature, not a bug. Go into iCal preferences > Advanced and uncheck "Turn on time zone support". Import the event again and this time both the graphic view and the Get Info view will display the same information.
It appears that this setting is meant to be useful if you travel to different time zones a lot. Basically, with it you get a time zone dropdown menu in iCal. So when you are in a different time zone you can select it from the dropdown and it will show what time your events occur in your new local time. Just keep in mind that when you create a new event it will be created based on the time zone you have selected. So if you are in California and have selected that time zone but you are adding an entry for a meeting you have when you are back in New York make sure that you select the correct time zone when creating that meeting because by default it will be created in California time and when you return to New York and switch your calendar back it will show the event at the wrong time.

  • Getting an error message: "if you are here, it is probably because your computer's clock is wrong."  Ergo, I can't get to the page I need.  My clock's date and time are right.  After re-booting, went to wrong time zone, which I changed-- still getting msg

Getting an error message: "if you are here, it is probably because your computer's clock is wrong."  Ergo, I can't get to the page I need.  My clock's date and time are right, but time zone was wrong-- changed & saved it, but still getting error msg

'Requires=network.target' wasn't in it so I added it but nothing's changed. I've left it in because openVPN does require network.
As I said, I had this problem with a script so I don't think it's anything specific to openVPN. I had a weird occurrence this morning however. When I started the computer up this morning  openVPN worked just fine. However when the computer rebooted openVPN couldn't resolve the host address again.

  • Under Date & Time Preferences, Apple's automatic time zone setting puts some Aleutian Islands in the wrong time zone.

I've been checking all around to find a source to this problem and it seems to continue leading back to where the problem may be with Apple's time zone referencing software.  Some time zone maps incorrectly place all the Aleutian Islands in the Aleutian/Hawaiian Time Zone, but several of the eastern Aleutian Islands should be in the Alaska Time Zone instead. I wonder if Apple's time zone software is referencing an incorrect time map.
Currently, I do a lot of travelling with my laptop and everytime I return home, I have to reset my time preferences to a manual setting.  It's a real nuisance which should be unnecessary with todays technology. Any help finding a solution would be appreciated.

Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the Privacy tab.
Make sure:  Enable Location Services is selected.
If that was already selected, try this article >  About Location Services / Lion
The information applies to Mavericks as well.

  • Running Jobs in wrong Time Zone

    Hello Gurus.

The Jobs in the BW system, self it's running in different Time Zone, because Time Zone of instance is different  in relattion to Host clock.
The SAP Notes for to apply and fix the problem/issue we have them.
If we apply these SAP Notes, the time execution of the jobs also it modify?
    Thanks

    Hi
All you need to do is goto SPRO -> click on reference IMG and General Settings -> Time Zones and Maintain System Zones and then select the Time zone you need for both System and User Default and save it.
The above solution should resolve your issue, let me now if any problems.
    Thanks,

  • IPhone's clock showing wrong time zone

I just flew from Davenport, IA to Detroit -- from Central to Eastern time. When I got off the plane and turned the phone back on, its clock still showed (and still shows now) the current time in Central time. I am connected to AT&T, and have made a call. Why isn't the phone aware that it has changed time zones??
    Thanks,
    DM

Thanks Jim. It was indeed set to "OFF," but I could've sworn I had it set to "ON" on my previous iPhone (3G). When I bought the new 3GS, I restored the settings from the old one. Maybe that setting didn't survive the journey...

  • Invite from Lotus Traveler shows wrong time zone

Question: why is the time zone always showing as Hawaii on calendar entries sent using Lotus Traveler and which I accept on my iPad?
    Here are the facts:
    1.  I am an iCloud user (on my personal iPad and Mac)
    2.  I access work emails/calendar on my work iPad using Lotus Traveler
    3.  I send an invite from my work calendar on my work iPad and accept the invite into an iCloud caldendar on my personal iPad.
Result:  Invite shows correctly on my calendar on my personal iPad but when I open Calendar on my Mac, the invite will ALWAYS shows as "Hawaii" timezone.
I've tried all combinations of timezone support on/off etc. The problem also does not present itself if I accept the invite from Calendar on my Mac.
I've taken alook at the .ics file that is origanlly sent and the TZID is "GMT +10" format as opposed to "Australia/Sydney". If I look at the .ics file on my Mac, it as "Hawaii" as the TZID.
    Do anyone have any ideas?
There are a few posts of similar issues from a few years ago, but the issue seems to have been resolved in previous OS versions.

I don't have an anwer to the previous in this thread but I believe a related question. I recently received two invites to meetings from a Lotus Notes v6 user. Each repeated weekly on a Tuesday for 10 weeks and one meeting followed the other. The first posted to iCal perfectly. The second posted a meeting on the Tuesday in the first week at the correct time. The first repeat however posted 24 hours later (not a week later) and then repeat weekly but on the Wednesday (not Tuesday) but at the correct time.
I have examined the ics script of both meetings. The only difference appears to be that the meeting that posted correctly had DTSTART and DTEND both on the same date (in Universal Time) where as the one that incorrectly posted the repeats the meetings spanned midnight in Universal Time. Are there any patches or ways to fix this. Can I edit the script and then re-post it to iCal so as to "trick" iCal into placing this on the correct day?
I have copied the header script for the meeting that behave correctly below:

The header for the script that does not operate correctly for the repeats is copied below:

  • Applications Updates. Time zones used in iTunes Store per a Country.

There is a question regarding submitting an app to the iTunes store. I read that, if the app is approved and ready for sale, it will appear in the iTunes store of the targeted countries at midnight of the day X.
The question is for the countries that have several time zones (e.g. Russia, USA, etc.). Which time zone is considered as a sale time? There’s an idea, that territories time zones are used there (e.g. US, Canada, Latin America: Pacific Standard Time (PST)).
    Thanks in advance.

This would be a question best asked of the App Store support group, which you can contact through your iTunes Connect account. These are user-to-user support forums, intended to help with end-user issues with the iTunes Store. You'll not be likely to get an answer to developer-specific questions here.
