IOS 8.1 and Skype online problem
In all my iDevices with IOS 8.1 they have a problem to stay online. After the lid of iPad Air is closed the Skype will go to offline status within some seconds. Same problem with iPad 2, iPad Mini and iPhone 4S. Only iPhone 4 with IOS 7 is working normaly.
Is there some setting which I have change to get Skype to stay online all the time, when it is loaded on background?
To resolve this issue, on your Apple device, go to Settings, General, Background App Refresh. Make sure the refresh is turned ON and Skype app in the same screen below is set to ON. If you have the main refresh switch OFF or the Skype app set to OFF, the app will go offline as it cannot synch your profile (status) to the server in real time.
You can control and set other apps to automatic refresh or turn them off individually in the same screen.

My company do Lync and Skype federation that I found the problem below:
1. If user has used Microsoft Lync and federate with Skype by using Microsoft Account, it connected. but If Skype user is not Microsoft Account, they have used Skype ID. they shows Presence Unknown.
2. Some Skype user that used Microsoft Account, they will not receive invitation. when Lync user invite Skype user.1. The Skype ID must be associated with a Microsoft ID in order to work. This is why you receive "Presence Unknown" with non-Microsoft ID enabled accounts. See here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn440172.aspx specifically:
"All Skype users wishing to connect to a Lync user must have a Microsoft Account associated with their Skype IDs and sign in using the
Microsoft Account. This can be enabled within the Skype client."
2. Do those Skype users have a Microsoft account paired with their Skype ID? If not, they won't receive an invitation, because the invite
is never sent to them. Can you give more detail on the users that don't receive the invite, is there something they have in common?

If you are on BTYahoo mail, the main account holder can reset the password for the sub account. You need to log into your mail account go to the icon that looks like a cog at top right and select Account Info> log on again. Go to account & billing > log on again > Change my password ( you may get a security certificate warning, ignore) Enter the account details that you want to change and the current password then follow the prompts.
I am not on BTMail so I don't know if the same will work for that. -
IOS 7.1 and Exchange email problem
When I check my email, the iphone reloads all the emails, as if it were the first time. The only thing different is the upgrade to ios 7.1. Is anyone else experiencing this.

It sounds like whenever you open your Mail app, all the Exchange emails download again as though you just set up the account. I recommend starting by closing the Mail app:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:

IOS 8.2 and cellular data problem
Sorry for my broken english.
I'm using Ipad mini - cellular data + wifi -16GB
I have a problem with my ipad, when i try to upgrade ios 8.2 , a sign say that ''unable to install update'' and give me 2 choice which is''Close'' or ''settings''(setting means back to GENERAL again) .So i just ignored because i get info from one of the website say ''be patient,because many people try to download i.o.s 8.2'' and when i try to use CELLULAR DATA ,it appear searching....... keep searching until an hour. I have try reboot 2/3 times but still my Cellular data still searching.....but my Wifi lines no problem .
Can someone help me .I have try to turning off and on but no use because is still keep searching and till now while the ios cannot to install update even thought i have delete some of my application to upgrade.
But when i take my sim and use to my phone, it work and when i insert back to my ipad i keep telling ''searching'.....'' -
IOS music library and iTunes syncing problems

Just wondering if the issues that have been bothering me for some time and with multiple recent iOS and iTunes versions are going to get fixed in the future?
Adding or removing music manually or automatically between iTunes and the iOS has resulted in the corruption of the music library on the iOS device several times and the solution to fix the problem is always to empty the device and to start over. For example today I noticed that the album art had disappeared from my music (a known issue) and I searched the forums for a solution. Well the solution is to empty all of the music from the device and upload it back again and the album art will be back. Great! Except the music got deleted and still the space in use is showing "other usage" for the exact size of my deleted music library. If I try to add some music it adds to the space of the mysterious occupied space and the device is soon full. Time to start from scratch again. The syncing is broken and the software is buggy and I'd like it to work flawlessly instead of starting from scratch every time I'm making any minor changes to my music library. I think the reliability of the software and the basic functions is more important than the ability for the phone to ring in the computer whenever I get a call. Which is pretty amazing in someone else's opinion I'm sure.
Oh yes and the iPad is not uploading updated apps to the iTunes automatically which it did some software versions ago (a known issue). This is annoying.Schpoiler,
I had the very same problem with you. I think the main reason for this happening is purchasing and downloading content with your phone. I don't know how it happens though, this seems the problem with me.
What I did is, I basically erased all content and settings from my iPhone and used my backup in my mac to install everything back again. After that, the "other usage" got really small in size and as I deleted all the songs by using syncing, I saw that music occupied no space in my phone. Then, I synchronized my music back again and now everything works just fine. -

I just updated my phone. I went to update an application and clicked on update all. It didn't ask for my password and now all apps that are supposed to be updating say, "Waiting".
The other problem I'm having is that I cannot access my current emails. Error Message says that it cannot find server or it cannot connect to server"
How do I fix these issues?You could unplug your router than plug it back in. You could turn the iPhone completely off and then back on.

I am using Apple 5 32GB, recently I upgraded to IOS 8.2.
From that date onwords my Cellular data is not enabled. It enabled after I restart the mobile. after some time again same proble.

IOS 5.1 Upgrade caused Mute Problems
Has anyone upgraded to the latest iOS (5.1) and then experienced problems? My conversations are muted (one way – out) since upgrading to 5.1 last week. I’ll be mid-conversation and the other party will say “I can’t hear you, where did you go?”. If I switch to speakerphone, I come back. It is like the mute feature is active, but it doesn’t show as activated on the device. I have an iPhone 4 on ATT.
I have a VERY similar issue. It would work for moments and then bam, mute! Then every call after that, i am mutted. However, unlike your device, 'speakerphone mode' is still muted.
I've been looking for ways to downgrade to iOS 5.0, but i dont know how. Ive noticed with a few phones similar to yours where person at the other end wouldnt hear me, but it progressively got worst and few days after upgrade
I spoke to an apple genius they said i had to pay for the $150 so they could look at the problem. I have an iPhone 4 on AT&T as well. -
Hello, I've updated the iPhone I have got I have a problem I hope you respond to some of the applications no longer work, such as the safari and skype and many applications are no longer working with the ios7.0.4
Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
Wi-fi and Facebook photos problem on iOS 6.0.1
I have a MacBook Air and and iPhone 3GS. Over wifi connection strange things happen when I use Facebook. I cannot see images on my timeline from firends and I cannot even see some of my photos. I've tried both secure and unsecure connection through Facebook account settings but nothing changes. Videos on the timeline won't play either. When I switch to 3G on my phone everything is fine. What could be the problem I cannot find out. Until a few weeks ago it was normal. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

I thought I believed my iPhone 4 with iOS5.0 would not disconnect during sleep mode. However, I was wrong. What I did was to ping the IP addresses on my iPhone 4 (iOS5) and iPhone 5 (iOS 6 then, and iOS6.0.1 now) when they were in sleep mode. Very true that there were timed-out on both devices. Once I woke them up, ping went thru. I did a scan on my home network using my iPad while the other 2 phones were in sleep mode, I was not able to see them.
I thought my iPhone4 did not disconnect too. But again, I think the reconnecting to wifi on iOS 5 is SO MUCH quicker than on iOS6 so user would think there was never a disconnect. -
I want to get iBook, Facebook and Skype to my iphone 4.2.1 through my iTune, but I coudn't because it is said that it requires a newer version of iOS. Please I need your help. Thanks
If your iPhone can't be updated to a higher iOS version then the only way to get them is if you downloaded versions of them which were compatible with iOS 4.2.1 and you still have copies of those versions somewhere e.g. on your computer or on a backup - only the current version of each app is available in the store, and as apps (and other content) are tied to the account that downloads them, you will need to have older copies that are linked to your id

but is not for 6.1.6.That page applies to iOS 6. Download the current versions of those apps on your computer's iTunes so that they are in your account's purchase history, then go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPod and see if you can download a previous compatible version of them - you won't be able to download them if the developers of those apps don't support previous versions.

iPad IOS 7.0.2 and Mountain Lion 10.8.5 Calendar colors do not match between computer and device. Problem did not exist until updated IOS arrived. Colours change of their own free will despite being corrected on both iPAD and MacBook Pro. Any answers?

Go to your hard drive, enter library, go into users, and go into launch agents and delete the thing above. Empty the trash and restart.

IPad 3 touchscreen not working
