Ios 8.1, will it fix iphone 4s bugs?
After uploading 8.0, my 4s iphone took a dive bomb in its functionality.
I seriously considered driving a screw into its guts and dropping it down a sewer.
I felt betrayed by Apple, to be honest, after reading some stuff online.
But a line of hope was tossed out, that Apple would fix the multiple bugs in the 8.1 update.
So I am holding on for now.
And now 8.1 is out.
But nothing in the description suggests any fixes for the 4S users... and it might just make it worse.
Any experience out there?
I found a list of advice on the web, and tried one of two of them, but I really can't recall what I tried, to be honest.
I think I had to reset my location services or something, maybe?
Let's assume I have done nothing: what is your advice? What did you do?
My main impression is that everything has ..slooooowed.....dooooown......
as if the operating system is too big for the hardware.

All of us here are users just like you. We have no inside info of when Apple products or operating system updates/upgrades will be released. The next iOS may not even change the issue you have.

It's been a week now when my iPhone 4s keyboard acting so weird.. because those letters Z, X, C,V, B, N, M, and as well as cancel bar, search bar, and space bar keep running even though I didn't touch yet the screen please kindly help me with this problem.
Shut down whatever app is constantly running in the background.
Do basic troubleshooting of reset, restart, restore.
IF restored as new and the overheating and short battery life continue with ONLY the default apps installed, take it back to Apple as a hardware issue exists. -
After upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 iTunes will not stay open once the app launches...does anyone know how to fix this? Please Help :)
I have exactly the same problem. I too have tried everything that's been suggested, but still not working. Don't really what to do next? I have an iPhone 4S.

My iPhone 3GS on iOS 5.1 will randomly stop what I'm doing show a black screen then the spinning icon and then it shows my lockscreen. It takes about a minute to do this and it does it about 30 times a day. How do I fix this? It is EXTREMELY ANNOYING!
No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

When will these issues with iOS 8.0.2 be fixed?
Admittedly, this problem has been going on since Apple released the core iOS 8 software, but it's glaring (worse) here. Let's go to the beginning.
I own an iPhone 4S 8gb and upon release of the core iOS 8 software, I installed it like a fool and I didn't know that a lot of problems came with it, so the next morning, my iPhone's internet (connected to a WiFi network) was shotty as sin and I really needed it at the time because of a Transit thing I was doing until recently. The features that came with the iOS 8 is impressive, but I also was shocked when I couldn't even listen to my music for a whole day (I fixed that when I hooked up and synced in iTunes), despite my library having the same number of songs before the update on the iPhone. Now, I've heard of these problems from a friend who apparently works for the Apple tech department days after I discovered them myself, so I waited for the next update in hopes that it'd fix all of the core iOS 8's problems, but... short and to the point, this update is even worse than the core software. Problems include, but not limited to:
Safari lags like crazy at times, especially when you're trying to type something. Also, Safari seems to not direct you to Google unless you searched for the topic again; I don't like doing that. I like typing in a research topic in Google's engine only once.
Siri is much worse than the 7.1.2 software; the assistant can't tell what you're saying 69% of the time. I'm also not pleased with holding the home button to speak to the assistant and continue holding it until you finish speaking to her/him.
Apps freeze and become unresponsive and in common cases, they crash in the middle of the night (a perfect example would be YouTube) while I'm sleeping (not 100% sure who's to blame for this, Apple or the app developers themselves).
(refer to the lagging Safari bullet) The keyboard lags on you badly and I'm not just talking about Safari, this problem is every where you need the keyboard in, including basic texting in iMessage.
The Music app apparently can't judge your selection at times, like, when you select a song from your library, it takes 3 hard pushes on the touchscreen to select it and sometimes, it randomly selects the next song under the one you want to listen to.
Did I mention the constant lag?
I'll probably find more problems as I scan though the iPhone tonight, but above are the main problems that I have with 8.0.2, not 8. I know what you're probably saying: "Why not just downgrade back to 7.1.2 where you didn't have barely any problems at all with your iPhone?" Well, apparently, Apple stopped signing the software when I tried to restore the iPhone in iTunes to that firmware, so I find it completely pointless to try to downgrade. My core question is "When will these issues with iOS 8.0.2 be fixed?" I know the iPhone 4S can work with the newest iOS, because, if it wasn't, iTunes wouldn't have notified me of the update. I was thinking of getting an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus June or July of next year, but if the software is still buggy at the time, I'll stick to my 4S until my contract ends at the end of 2015Also, I've noticed that the 4S' battery life is horrible even if there's just music going on in the background. Common battery life for the iPhone is 3 hours (just having music and data active) and most of the time, I'd have to carry my USB charging cable with wall socket so I don't have to worry about it shutting down on the go and I know it's the software that's the problem because it wasn't like this prior to iOS 8.0.2 or even the core iOS 8. Common battery life for the iPhone on iOS 7.1.2 was atleast 7-9 hours on the same conditions as listed above.

I don't want iOS 7, but every app (Even system apps, app store, messages, phone) get frozen and then crash when I open them, I tried many things that I found to try and fix this, but it keeps happening, I have 4.1 of 8 GB of free memory, the lockscreen also thats forever to let me start typing when I go to it or turn my phone off and make on (Or takes forever to let me slide it if I turn passcode off) my girlfriend who has iOS 7 is having the same problems, and so are many people I know who have iOS 7 or 6.1.3No. If you go Settings App > General > Reset > "Erase All Content and Settings", you will have the same iOS that was on the iPhone when you tapped the Erase button. If you believe your iPhone is Jailbroken, then this will not work. If you use iTunes on computer, this will put iPhone to current iOS which is iOS 7.0.2

YOu can't disable the camera - this feature came out with IOS 5.
You will have to set your passcode lock to immediately. settings - general - passcode lock. -
HT6162 7.1: When will Apple fix Music/playlist sync? It's been 7 months since IOS 7 came out
This is a common problem that has been plaguing IOS 7 years from the getgo. When you sync via cable with itunes, my iphone deletes songs I want, adds songs I don't want and makes the newly added songs undeletable. I know all of the hackish "fixes" to this problem but I was really hoping apple would cleanly fix the bugs that are occurring here given this new big update. It doesn't look like this has not happened. I'm writing the community here to see if they are also having the same music problems occuring after 7.1. Hopefully some apple employees will see this as well.
I've had this problem since I got IOS 7 and it drives me crazy. I kept asking friends online if they had the same problem and nobody did.. Then I found several threads online where people were talking about this issue and offering fixes. I tried many fix attempst to no avail, and then I just gave up. Some people are saying that Apple knows about this problem and may be waiting for IOS 8 to release a fix with is total BS. Why would we have to wait that long to fix such an important issue?
I miss the time when I could listen to my music playlists on my phone. Those were the days... -
I bought an iPhone 6 yesterday. I also bought a stereo dock that works with iPhone 5/5s. And a cord to connect iPhone 6 to USB port on my car stereo. No sound comes out of the stereo dock or car stereo. In Best Buy today, Sales Associate tried his iPhone 5 running iOS 8 on a stereo dock. It worked, but my iPhone 6 didn't. When will Apple fix this problem? Or is Apple pushing everyone to Bluetooth?
The iPod feature that plays through USB in my car does not work with my iPhone 6 either. I called AppleCare and they said that the car audio system will need a firmware update. Don't know if Apple is just passing the buck, but that is what I was told. Thank you for posting. I know now that I am not the only one. Thanks also for posting about the iPhone 5 running iOS 8. I gave away my iPhone 5 to a friend so I wasn't sure whether this is an iOS 8 issue or an iPhone 6 issue and your experience seems to confirm that it is a problem with iPhone 6. I guess I will just be using Bluetooth in my car, at least for now.

What happens when you try?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
iTunes 11.1.4, and iOS 7.0.4. - My iPhone 4 is popping up with "do you trust this computer?" Message, and will no longer sync to iTunes. My device when plugged in just won't sync, and I litteraly do not know what to do... Someone please help me!?
I did know that it was a new feature, but it made no difference, it wasn't synching. I did however find a post that completely helped me!! Link below.

i downgrad my iphone from ios5 to ios 4.3.3 and after restoring the ios 4.3.3 i fixed all itunes error but after that my i phone screen turned off and the apple logo didnt shows up any more what ever i did my iphone model 4 gsm and fyi i try all the ways to turn it on but it didnt sucsses
