hy there! I just updated my phone yesterday to this new ios 8! But once i updated my phone to ios 8, there slightly different about this new ios. Like. lots of my apps Are crash, it also makes my phone slower and laggy, the performance are not tht quite good,compared to previos ios 7.1.2. please make a new update for ios 8! Is seem really bad on iphone5s with all those crash apps, laggya and slower.

Contact Support for an immediate fix - 1-800-480-4170. I too called the phone # to see what was going on. It went straight on hold when I called (didn't ring) and then when someone came on the line, it was a woman who I could barely hear due to the noise in the background. She stated that my ios crashed and was no longer something on my iPhone5S and that a 3rd party was at that time taking all my info. off my phone (nice "scare tactic" eh?). She then said for $80 though she could reinstall ios and just needed my credit card # (yeah, ooooookkkay). So I said that was ridiculous as I had been using apps and my phone the whole time I was talking to her on speaker and said I would call Apple Support directly. She told me they would say the same thing about having to pay to have ios reinstalled on my phone. I said I highly doubt it and told her I wouldn't pay the money and that she was essentially full of crap. She then said (prob after realizing I wasn't buying any of it) "OK ma'am" and hung up on me.
Adamfrombessemer's advice works if you're surfing sites and get a "ios Crash Report" message in Safari on your iPhone like I did!

Fairly sure this is a virus or at least a scam. Have already tried to reset by holding the power and square down until the apple icon appears, but to no avail. I cannot get the message off of the Safari screen .

After updating my Ipad Mini to IOS 8.02 videos keep on crashing and getting constant lag

Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If you are still having issues after a reset, you may want to make sure you have a current backup of your data in iTunes, then try restoring your iPhone to factory settings and testing it in that default condition to see if the issues persist before restoring the apps or your data. Hi. I just upgraded my iPad 2 to the new iOS 6, and now a website that I use all the time for school is crashing every time I open it to get to my classes and assignments. This is very frustrating since I use my iPad frequently during school. I've already tried rebooting my iPad and closing all applications, and clearing cookies in Safari, nothing has fixed this so far. The problem is with facebook, go to settings / facebook / your user name and delete your account, the do a hard reset (home+power for some seconds).

update to IOS 6 has been a nightmare. Facebook would allow me to save pictures unless I granted access to my foto album. Does this mean my pictures are going be planted all over the web? The safari keeps crashing and loading is slow. Most infuriating is that YouTube was deleted from my entertainment apps and I now have to pay for it if I want it back!! This is a bloody disgrace.
Back up all data.

What's the proper protocol for a reset on my ipod touch 4g? iOS 6 has totally jacked it up and it will no longer do anything but crash, and won't sync with itunes wirelessly or by cable.
It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6. Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether. If you can't update via wifi, you can use a friend's computer, or an Apple store will do it for you.
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

IPhone 5 crashes on iOS 8 and goes to low battery screen
I was just using my iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.3, and it crashed and went to the low battery screen even though it was 53%. I plugged it in and powered it back on, and it was 53% (iPhone had not lost any charge).
I don't know what is causing this problem, but it has happened 4 times now.

hold the home phone and the power button for 10 seconds
and turn it back on

if step 1 don't work back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support

Download them again in the App Store purchased tab. As long as you use the same ID that you bought the apps with, you do not have to pay for them again.

After upgrading to the latest IOS version 7.1, in mail on ipad, if I select more than 5 mail items to delete the mail software package crashes and I have to relaunch mail? Anyone else noticed this?
I haven't encountered this problem on my iPad Air but this is what I usually do when Mail misbehaves.
Quit the Mail app like I describe then reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. -
My windows computer crashed last night and shortly thereafter, my iphone updated to IOS 7 and i was forced to do a system restore before i could preform a backup... I tried accessing my old contacts, texts, notes, pics and apps thru icloud (i have it set up to automatically preform backup). It claims that the last back up was after my computer crashed/the update/system restore... I thought all was lost, then went to redownload some old apps. They all appeared with the icloud symbol next to them (instead of "free" or a price), so i'm assuming that i DO have things backed up on icloud? Why are my apps the only media showing back up? Is there a way i can salvage my contacts, texts, pictures and other deleted media still?
Apps are not included in a backup - only a reference to which apps are on the device. They are restored from copies in the app store.
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com. Check the contacts and other pages where your data had been stored. If they are not there, then the only place they could be is in a backup, either to itunes or (/and) icloud. You'd have to restore the backup. If the data is there, then your device is not connected to icloud. Go to Settings>icloud to be sure it's logged into the right account.
As for pictures...
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.

IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".
