Ios 8: find inside pdf (Safari)

Before iOS 8, i was used to find words inside pdf documents in the Safari app, in the same way we can find words in a web page.
Now with iOS 8.0.2, both in my iPhone 5 and in my iPad mini retina, this feature doesn't work.
Can anyone try if it's a common problem?

I Think I have solved this.
I had restrictions on for Safari to Limit Adult Content. Unfortunately this seems to keep any PDF link in Safari from loading. When I turned that setting off, all worked like usual. I'm not satisfied completely but that is how it works for now.

I currently incorporate the Adobe Acrobat Pro (9.1.2) plugin for viewing PDF files. I like using Safari for viewing PDFs within a web browser, but I find Safari's built-in Find function (open apple-F) inferior to Acrobat's ability to search for text within the PDF, as it never finds the words that I search for.
My question is: Is there an efficient built-in shortcut within Safari to search text within a PDF using Adobe Acrobat's plugin Find function? If not, is there a relatively easy, keyboard-based shortcut that could be made to direct the Find function to the Adobe Acrobat plugin Find function within Safari?

Figured it out. It had nothing to do with the software levels of Safari or Adobe Acrobat. Here's the fix:
Open Finder/Applications
Search "Internet Plug-Ins"
Move any Adobe plug-ins to the trash
Quit Safari
Launch Safari
Your pdf document should now render in Print Preview and print properly.

I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad). Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes so I want to restore it. Dont want to lose my files from my iPad.

Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes, and I want to restore it. I want to make sure all of the files are backed up before I restore. My trouble started when I was trying to update my IPad but it was taking too long (internet was scetchy) so I powered off...now Im having problems. I haven't tried to update again since this problem. Any suggestions? Should I restore? Should I update to 7.0.6? (currently 7.0.3).

HTML Frame inside PDF

I want to display HTML content inside PDF. This HTML content just contains an Image, nothing else. How can it be possible? I am not able to find any way doing this. Is it possible to render HTML content inside PDF?

Actually I need to render a Google Map (Static JPG Image) in ImageField dyanamically. Pls have a look on snap below -
But ImageField accepts only Base64 encoded value, so I can't use the URI of static image. Also I can't load it in temp memory inside PDF (Using HTTP Request) & then convert it into Base64 value. So I thought of putting HTML frame inside PDF.
Now I am thinking that the only way left is to make a WebService in b/w GoogleMap and PDF which will accept the location as the I/P and returns with the Base64 encoded value. Is it the correct way? Or Is there any better way to do this?

iPads don't have a filesystem like a computer, Files of that nature must be associated with an App and reside inside that particular App's file space. So the way to find them is to open the App that opens that file type and look in its file or document list for them.

I checked system preferences and everything seems to be checked appropriately as well as for Safari's preferences.
I am not sure what's going on, because Safari only just recently started doing this and I haven't downloaded anything, nothing out of my regular computer routine. As well, I upgraded to Mavericks when it came out and I have the last version of it too. I can't imagine that Safari would close simply because I don't have or want to upgrade to Yosemite. I am holding off on the upgrade for a bit, because I heard Final Cut Pro 7 can't be run on Yosemite. While I could partition my drive, I really don't want to. Mavericks is fine for right now : )

The first thing to try is changing your DNS settings - and for that you need to open System Preferences, then the
Network section.
In Network - click on Advanced - then the DNS tab
under DNS servers - use the + button to enter two extra lines
either these, from google dns
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
or from OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
then click OK & then 'Apply'
You would need to do that seperately for the Cable (Ethernet) settings and Wireless (Airport)

If you'd like to create a PDF from something rather than print, you can create a pdf from any print dialog.
ie. File > Print > click PDF button lower left > Save as PDF..

Hi guys,
I am tryng to convert word doc file to PDF by acrobat v9.0 pro, I got the message as "Unable to find "Adobe PDF resourse files", and "Acorbat could not open 'filename' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ...". I did several times to run the installer to repair it, and remove and re-installed several times with different folders for the Adobe acrobat. I also did check the setting by "Preferences" under the item "Edit'. But nothing changed. I use it for generating and merging 1 or more doc files into a PDF file, so the micorsoft word which can make PDF file or use PDF printer is not useful for my object. Any ideas and helps? I really appreaciate anyone can give me help, Thanks a lot.

You don't need Acrobat for this at all.
If you select "Print..." there is a "PDF..." button in the lower left corner of the dialog. Click the button and select "Save as PDF..." or you can do "Open in Preview..." and save from there.
OS X has had the ability to generate PDFs since the 10.0 days. The whole graphics infrastructure is based on PDFs. You have no need whatsoever for Acrobat on the machine to do this.

Unable to find Adobe PDF resource files/Expired Certificate

A user running CS4 is unable to use the Save As PDF (the Acrobat COM Add-on - not the native Office feature) function from Office 2007. The error displayed is:
Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files.

You must have Administrator privileges to install these files. Please contact your local system administrator."
I have done the repair install with no change. This error still occurs.
In researching this issue I visited the Office Trust Center and found that the Adobe Systems, Incorporated VeriSign Class 3 Code Signing 2004 CA certificate expired on 11/5/2009. The user believes this is when the error started to occur.
Is the certificate the cause of this error? Is there a newer code signing certificate available?
Any other suggestions on getting this issue resolved?

Unable to find Adobe PDF resource files since SP3 installed

We have a user who is sure since XP Service Pack 3 was installed that he cannot print to PDF. Once he clicks Print he gets an error stating
Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files
"C:\...\Adobe PDF 6.0\Settings\Adobe PDF Converter.joboptions"
Running the installer in repair mode does not work. Reinstalling the whole thing does not work. However when I log in as an admin user the issue does not occur at all. It is Acrobat Standard 6 by the way.

Does this occur if you are logged in as the administrator? Have you updated AA8 to the latest version? You very likely need the latest version to run on Win 7, particularly since AA8 is not certified for Win 7. If you have a 64-bit system, there is no question that you need to update.

Unable to find adobe pdf resources

I have creative cloud and have installed Acrobat PRO XI. However, in word when I click Acrobat and click preferences I get an error unable to find adobe pdf resources.
It seemed to work before I installed XI. Any suggestions?

I'm using Word 2010 and the Acrobat information is one of the tabs on the top.
When I click on the file there is a save as Adobe PDF but this also gives the error. I can do a save as PDF and it will make a PDF, but it does not allow me to save images without compacting. That is why I need to access the preferences.

I am trying to convert a Word document into a PDF by right-clicking on a Word document and telling it to Convert to Adobe PDF. I try to run the repair mode and it'll run the repair mode, but nothing changes. Also, I used to have an Adobe tab in my Microsoft Word program but that is gone. No, but you might have to do some work to get AA8 to work on your system. The first step is to update it, currently at 8.3.1 (you have 8.0.0 that may be your issue). AA8 is not certified for use on Win7, but several folks have been successful getting it to run. However, you might run into hickups at times even if it does run. In the meantime, try opening the document in WORD and printing to the Adobe PDF printer. If that works, you at least have a production method.
The next step is to figure out why PDF Maker is not working. For this, open the document in WORD and see if the Adobe menu appears. In WORD 2007 it will likely be the right most menu item named Acrobat (that is on my WORD 2007 system with AA8, though this is a VISTA machine). If that menu does not appear, then the Adobe macro in WORD needs to be enabled.
If the printer is not running, then further work is needed. Let us know what the current status is and then we can go from there.
