IOS 8 Health App - Change Units

Hi everyone,
I have started using the Health App to log my blood glucose measurements. Has anyone figured out how to change the units from mg/dl to mmol/l for example? Is there a settings somewhere for that? If not, should an Apple representative be reading this, are there plans to support more global units?
Thanks.

That does seem to confirm my theory but as others have pointed out it is not a fix for anyone except perhaps Canada - USA (maybe not even then). I don't want dollars, US date format, fahrenheit, etc etc just to get miles instead of kilometres. Looks like Apple believes that everyone outside of the US is on the metric system. Might be nearly true but not quite :-) Doesn't help I know that we in the UK like to mix it up a bit - Celsius for temperature but miles for distance for example.
But actually even if they get their atlas out and get everyone's units correct respective to their location we still need more control. I live in the UK but I might, for example, prefer Fahrenheit and kilometres to Celsius and miles. We should be able to choose.

Hello Ken, Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I can certainly understand why you would want to get your Nike+ FuelBand connecting to the new iOS 8 Health app. Currently we're working with Apple because due to an unspecified issue with Health Kit and the Health App, data sharing between those apps and other apps (including NikeFuel) is not currently enabled. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but I would keep your eye on updates for iOS 8, and the Nike+ FuelBand and FuelBand app.  Should you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know; I am here to help. Sincerely, Dante

  • Health App Stats Resetting Each Day

I got the iPhone 6 the day it was released.  I immediately started using the new Health app.  I added the basics, birthday, age, sex, weight, and I added the "Steps" and "Walking + Running Distance" to the dashbaord.  I notice they automatically started tracking my steps.  So I went for a jog, it tracked that also.  Awesome, so far so good.  But the next day it was all gone.  It doesn't matter if I select "Day / Week / Month / Year" at the top top, the stats are always the same, the only show the current day.  I've checked each day since I've got the phone, each day it seems to start over.  Why is all the previous data disappearing?  Thanks!

  • Health App. weight data how to change lbs to kg

Hi, I need your help, I want to daily add my weight to the health app but it is showing by default lbs but I want it to be in kilos, how can I do that?
    thanks
    Alex

    I FOUND THE WAY!
If you change the region to somewhere that is not the US (settings ==> general ==> language & region) then it should adjust to the type of weight and hight and everything else unit that your country uses!
    hope it worked!

  • "medical id" is missing from my health app on my iPod touch 5th gen running iOS 8

Along the bottom of the health app on my iPod touch 5th gen running iOS 8 I am missing the "medical id" that should be the 4th icon on the lower right of the screen

You can't seriously believe users would be *that* idiotic, even on a sue-happy country like the US… And while Apple could get sued, it's not like Apple Legal would lose a case like that; for someone to die in the first place *because of the iPod Touch*, first-responders (be them regular bystanders or medical professionals) would have to be stupid enough to believe they could use it to make calls and not try doing that using instead, duh, a regular phone that they would likely be carrying with them anyway, and for Apple to be in the least bit accountable, the interface would have to misdirect them and make them believe they could in the first place.
Except it doesn't. It never did. The iOS interface, on the iPod Touch, has no references whatsoever to calling functions, be they regular or emergency-related. If you tap a phone number detected by smart filters, you can't dial it (I believe you're offered the option to save it on the Address Book, though), and on the lock screen, there is no “Emergency Call” function (nor would there be such a function on the Health ID page, either). So… I fail to see your point.
And you can't seriously believe Apple would risk, on purpose, a lawsuit by the family of someone who, having both an iPhone *and* an iPod Touch (not very likely, I know, but please bear with me) dies because s/he is carrying only the iPod Touch and unwittingly (but understandably) expects *all* Health and the potentially *life-saving* Health ID info to sync across devices via iCloud.
Nope, this is an oversight by Apple devs, and a massive one at that.
P.S.: A massive legal/functional disclaimer, such as “Warning: This device cannot connect to the cellular network. For emergency calls please use an appropriate device” or something along those lines would pretty much exempt them from any legal responsibility, while still enabling a life-saving feature.

  • How can I change the settings in the Health App from Imperial to metric - eg to metres and kilos ?

How can I change the settings in the Health App from Imperial to metric - eg to metres and kilos ?

We may have to wait for an update.  Aside from changing the country, I'm not sucre this can be done.  There is no Health App in the System preferences and no  way to modify from within the app.  Weird.
If you go to Language & Region under general settings and choose any other country, you will get Metric.  I have the opposite problem.  I live in a Metric country and want my health app to be in lbs and inches which is what I am used to.

How do I change the user on the new health app?

How do I delete the old User and create my own name and settings?
Really, the best way is to "fool" the system into thinking this is a first run system.  To do this, you need to do the following
First, boot into single-user mode by powering the system while holding the cmd-S key combination down.  This should bring you eventually to a black screen with a Unix terminal display.  Type the following three commands (that period before AppleSetupDone is very important):
    /sbin/mount -uw / <cr>
    rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone <cr>
    shutdown -r now <cr>
What should happen is that when the machine reboots after the last command, you should get a "Welcome to MacOS" routine which will ask you for user information and set up your new account using that information.
After you get that done, you should, one way or another, be able to delete the folder of the old user in the Users folder, though you may need some help with that as well.

  • IOS health app stopped synching

Has anyone else had their IOS 8.2 Health app stop synching with the Wahoo Fitness app? My data has stopped synching on the 12 March (after an IOS update?). I have all the historic and manually entered Fitness data present in the Health app upto and including the 12 March, then nothing is synched. When I try a manual synch from the Fitness app on data after the 12th March, I get the "com.apple.healthd.sqlite error 1" message.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've even tried:
    1. Turn off all syncing by theirs-party sources.
    2. Delete all third-party apps that might sync data so that the Health App "Sources" list is empty
    3. Reset all settings on the phone.
    4. Reload third-party apps one by one
    5. Selectively turn on syncing by third-party apps and only sync categories I really want to see.
All to no avail. The Health App crashes constantly and when trying to input data into third-party apps, those apps will crash also.
I'm currently trying to sync data with:
    UP by Jawbone (UP24)
    Withings HealthMate (Withings WiFi scale)
    MyFitnessPal
    Runtastic
    Nike+

  • IOS 8.1.2 and Health App

I've just installed 8.1.2 and so far no change in the Health App.  Following bugs still present (Interaction with UP24)
    1)  Daily average still WAAAAAAY off
    2)  UP24 and Health still don't agree with steps even though UP24 is listed first as the source and thus should override any data from the iPhone
    3)  Still can view step data (phone just hangs when it tries to display data)

    anypats wrote:
With 8.1.2 there were no changes relating to Health, wi-fi issues, Bluetooth, etc. The only change was an issue with ringtones disappearing.
Nice of Apple to issue a one note upgrade.

  • IOS 8.1 health app crashes when opening or accessing data

When i open the health app, he crashes when loading in data and overtime i try to open my steps data, he keeps saying loading, the app seems he can't handle all the amount of data. also every time it crashes all my data on the dashboard disappears and only reappears when I'm rebooting my iPhone. Also when i have synced my phone with iTunes a lot of my whitings data is duplicated and i have to manually delete all the clones.
seems apple has a lot of work with health, i hope the problems will be stabilized in upcoming updates.

    Hey there Airpwort,
It  sounds like your Health app is becoming unresponsive only when you tap the Sources tab at the bottom. A number of things can cause an issue like this but the easiest and best place to start would be to quit all the running apps on your phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling
