Ios 8 icloud backup doesn't work

Hello,
I've a problem with my iPad 2 and iOS 8.
When I try to make backup to iCloud, it doesn't work.
It takes hours and then stops, meanwhile my network upstream is at full capacity.
I haven't enabled iCloud Drive, because I use a Mac too.
Does iCloud Backup on iOS 8 doesn't work on the "old" iCloud?

I have the same problem,
just updated my 5s to 8.2 and neither iphone nor ipad are accepting the password.
i reset the password twice but nothing change.
i am not able to:
access App store
Access I-tunes
Access i-cloud
Buy from app store
or install from app store.
when i am triing to install a free aps it told me ottieni, then install when i press install it says ottieni again. bot on iphone and ipad2.
Moreover I have full access to i-cloud and itunes store via browser on pc with the same user id and password.

my iCloud backup doesn't work perfectely, i m about to lose one year of pictures and videos. I'm a little bit upset to have paid 80 dollars for a service which doesn't work. should i ask for to be reimbursed ?
The backup was working well until the part where my iphone just restart. The applications are downloading and some of them not, those who cannot be installed on the iphone just disappear.
Then my Cameral roll is telling me that I have 1 pictures on 6372.... but nothing happens then. i'm waiting to get all the pictures, but it stuck somewhere. i have the icon which informed that's the downloading is in process... but no pictures appears...

So we should have an reimbursement if this service hasn't got a proof of stability ? i have got many friends who is working for newspapers, that would be a good paper to writte about this service. I'm sure i'm not the only to get this horrible failure. Many bloggers would be interedsted about it. When a service isn't secure, what's the matter to make money with it...
I called the apple support and they only told me, ho that must be a corrupted backup. Well, i guess my two last backup are corrupted too. short sentences. I m an apple user for many things, nothing happened to me for many years except this probleme 2 days ago.
I'm upset about spending 80dollards to get nothing back !
will it be possible to get a call with an apple support team in order to have a copy of my icloud account ?
i'm sure it's possible because Police has the right to do it and force apple to get data back, am i right about it ?
is anyone know how to get these data from icloud without using an iphone ? i'm very very interested about that, i could pay for it.
is a start up wants to make something about it, i'm approximately sure it will make a lot of money.

I installed ios7 and now my icloud backup does not work. When I connect to iTunes i can back up my phone on my computer, but when I change the option to icloud it gives me an error message. Please help

Please, provide some details. May be some configuration is reseted, password? What error do You see?

My iCloud backup is not working on my iPhone 4S. I was took backup on november 2012 after that I did not connected with wifi and i did not take any back. Now I try to take a backup using wifi it is not working can any help me to fi this issue.

Here is the solution..(works with iPhone, iPod, iPad)
1) Please export all your contacts by signing on iCloud.com
1.1) Go to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your Apple ID
1.2) Go to contacts and click on the settings icon on the bottom left of the page which is also called as the Show Actions menu. And then click on Export vCard.
1.3) Your file is saved on desktop or any location that you choose to save at.
2) On your device, go to the settings menu - General - Reset - Erase All Content and Settings
3) Allow the device to restore and turn into a new device.
4) Sign in with iCloud account on your device and turn on backup after you restore all the data you need on your device.
Try Backing it once you have completed all the above steps. iCloud backup works !!

Thanks a lot for your advice.
Deleting the correupted back up means to delete the information of one month since the last back up I made is one month ago.....right?
This back up I made right before I restored my iphone. During the restore however my OS was upgraded to 5.1.1. and reading the comments on the internet it seems I am not the only one whom experience this problem.
Can it be that if I downgrade my OS back to 5.1. the back up will not be considered as corrupted? If so, how do I downgrade the iphone?

TS4036 iCloud backup doesn't have my back -won't restore

my iphone has been trying to restore from my icloud backu for the past 24 hours. took it to the apple store and they just made sure it hardware / phone was working. problem seems like it's on apple's end with the download. have no phone and don't want to lose my data so i'm hanging in there on the restore, but it has been 24 hours and the progress bar has NOT moved. like to restore my last iphone 4s icloud backup. have about 8GB to download.
any help is appreciated. -rick

Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
See:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

ICloud Mail doesn't work with Maverick

I bought a new iMac last week and migrate my profiles from my old MacBook Pro.
After I configured iCloud i noticed that Mail doesn't work. All other stuff like calender, contacts etc works fine...
Mail seems to not load the icloud account. But with other mail accounts like hotmail it works.
Than i made a new user profile and tried if icloud work there. And it works. So my problem must be on my user profile.
I tried to restore permissions, without success.
I installed Maverick again, without success.
Please help me, I'm getting crazy.

IPad 1 iCloud backup has stopped working

I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad 1 both of which backup to iCloud. All has been working well for a while now. A few days ago (30th November in fact) the iPad automatci backup failed to complete (There was a problem completing the backup. Please try again later.). The iPhone 4S is still backing up fine. I tried a mahnual backup on the iPad - same result. Then I tried truning off iCloud backup on the iPad, deleting the backup in Icloud, re-enabling it on the ipad and doing a manual backup (i.e. a new full backup). Same error; backup runs for several minutes (progress bar is over 75% complete) and then stops with this message.
This is clearly not a connectivity issue (my WiFi and Intetrnet conneciton are fine and I can backup my iPhone 4S with no problem) but something related to iCloud and/or the device.
Any suggestions for resolving this? For now I am having to backup to my PC but I would really like to get iCloud backup working again on my iPad.

Try "resetting" a device when you have problems with a backup.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
And even though you don't think it's a connectivity issue, a connection can still time out with Wi-Fi during a backup.
This may also help. Tap Settings > General > Network > Reset Network Settings

ICloud backup doesn't start

I have an iPhone 6 and it have always done iCloud backup without problems. Since a couple of week the backup doesn't start automatically when i connect it to the power (and with wifi). I can't find the cause, someone can help me?

Ios 6 orientation doesn't work and boot time increases. How to solve these issues for dummy? I don't understand code and strings suggested by others.

I just upgraded from ios 5 to ios 6 on my ipad2. Now orientation doesn't work properly. Boot time increase, it takes longer time to boot. Is there any configuration to solve these issues? I can't understand the explanation with code and strings found on google to solve the orientation issue. Any easy configuration for dummy ?

It supports well for ios 5. I couldn't remember (5.x.x) exactly but I always keeps update for ios5 and the abnormality starts when I upgraded to ios 6.

IPhone backup doesn't work (backup can't be saved...) - nothing works!

First of all, I've read all instructions here and on Apple site, here, and it still doesn't work. It is this error: "Backup could not be saved on the computer" http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2529?viewlocale=en_EN - this of course didn't help, so I looked here.

I found my log file, I erased all my backup copies, then I created new directory with name from log file and I copied mdinfo and mddata with correct names from log. But it still didn't work, all it helped, that log showed error with another file. Interesting thing is that, when fail backup ends, it creates new directory, which doesn't allow to copy any files to it. Only deleting it and creating folder with same name helps to copy mddata and mdinfo files.
Then i found this - http://www.guruguidedvds.com/iphoneblog/common-problems/iphone-backup-problem-ch ecklist/ - so i changed name of directory drom Backup to Backup-old, iTunes created new Backup directory, but problem remained the same "backup can't be saved on this computer".
No firewall, only Windows XP default thing, Avira AntiVir Free Version, and about 2,5GB free disk space od C:. Last working backup copy I have is from month ago.
Now I have iTunes 9.0.2.25 and 3.1.2 firmware, and there is problem. Problably my last good backup was with 3.0 firmware and older iTunes, but I'm not 100% shure.
Somebody has some other ideas how to solve this?

Ok, I tried everything, last thing I did was downgrading and reinstaling iTunes, also without any good results, so unfortunately I had to do Restore. To be completly shure that previous backup was reason of errors, I set device as new, and now it is ok

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can delete your account at settings > iCloud, scroll down and tap delete account. You can then enter details of any new account you create.
Note. The purchase of apps are done through an iTunes store account not your iCloud account. If you are having issues downloading apps, it isn't related to your iCloud account.
