Ios 8, no movie control buttons

When I want to forward movie, pause or anything, there is no buttons to appear. Volume side control functions. Taping on the screen is not helping. Do not know if is related to new ios. thnx

Thank you for your response. However, the I PAD 3 Retina, has NEVER had a headphone jack inserted. I gave this to my wife some time ago, she does not use headphones! Additionally, if I swipe control center, touch Air Play, ONLY, selection available are Headphones and Apple TV. Tried, using the General Settings, to disable the mute function and enable the slider switch on the side. This resulted, in my being able to see, in Air Play the "I Pad", selection, checked this, and could hear both system click sounds as well as play audio thru, the I pad. Subsequently, the next day, it reverted back to the prior two of three options in air play. Namely, Headphones and Apple TV. To make it more confusing, I tried the same protocol, that restored the Internal Speakers previously, and when I checked "I Pad" selection, it appeared momentarily then reverted back to ONLY "Headphones" and Apple TV, which by the way, either one plays sound thru the corresponding selection. HELP......This I pad is no longer covered under Apple Care. Thank you.

Volume control buttons don't work for iTunes in speaker mode

Using onboard speakers (no headset on my iPhone 4S, the speaker buttons are not working. In fact the slider ICON in missing in playing music as well as the ringer ICON that comes up when I press the buttons.
I can go into settings, Sounds and manually move the slider for Ringer and Alerts, with "Change with Buttons" set "on, I can then press the volumn buttons on the side and see the slider move up and down (right and left). But as soon as I leave that screen and press either volumn up or down on the side, the Ringer ICON comes up but the slider part is gone.
In this case, there is no sound out of the speakers. However "Siri" works fine.
And in phone mode, I can use speakerphone and hear audio out of the speakers. (In fact in phone mode, speakers or headset works fine).
All other apps the speakers are inop and the volum control buttons are inop.
It's like it's in perminent "mute".

I got out my air compressor and literally blew the S* out of the docking port. I did dock the iPhone to my car dock port as a test, played music through the car. Then undocked and the volume control and speaker sounds all restored.
Not 100% it was cleaning the docking port or that I unwedged the software by docking into some different device.

Hi, i am a bit of a newbie at AS & need some help applying it to a movie clip button

I have created a movie clip button but am stuck with the actionscript. I have created the rollover and rollout for this movie clip button but i want it to do 2 things after this i want it to go and stop on the first frame of a movieclip which has my content on it called portfoliogallery_mc (which is also the same instance name for it) when you then click the button i want it to go and play frame 11 of that movie clip portfolio gallery_mc.
Here is my current actionscript i HAVE Flash 8 on my comp that i am currently using.
Please note my actions are on a layer called actions and not on the movieclip button itself.

currently it is playing to frame 11 not stopping at frame 1 and stops on frame 20 where i have a stop action. I also have a stop action on frame 1 of that movie clip.
What I want it to do is first stop at frame 1 of that movie clip and when the button is clicked again to go and play frame 11 of that same movie clip.
Basically what i want the mc button to do is 2 things automatically stop the mc for the first content and when button is clicked let the content fad out and play to where the next stop action is set to in the Movie Clip.

only the 2nd line of code will be effected.
i know you want to control 2 movieclips. what are the instance names of the two movieclips and what do you want to occur in each of those movieclips.
or, do you want to control 1 movieclip and have it play a certain sequence of frames followed by another sequence of frames?

Interactive movie controls

Sorry if this a silly question or not appropriate for Premiere. I am creating a presentation for my company, a corporate looking one. I built one in Flash, which was fine, but a bit fidly, as the presentation was very long (about ten minutes) and with a huge amount of layers. I found the image quality to be poor on Flash, and as PowerPoint is out of the question I want to build it on Premiere. I have used Premiere before, not very experienced but I get by.
I dont really want to have a movie that just plays through itself with no interaction. Is there a way to add movie controls, as in the first section of the presentation will play, then stop until a button is clicked (like an interactive PDF) and if so can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to use them?

How to remap keyboard - Looking to switch the "fn" and "control" buttons?

Hi I was looking for a way to switch the function and control on the bottom left side of the keyboard on my macbook pro laptop. I am used to the control button being the button that is furthest to the left and its just really throwing me off having the fn key all the way to the left. If anyone knows how to remap these keys, I would really appreciate the help.

Firefox 4.0 has a combined Reload and Stop and Go button that appears at the right end of the location bar.
To restore the Firefox 3 appearance you can use these steps:
* Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move the Stop and Reload button out of the location bar.
* Move the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the location bar.
* Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

Romote controll button activation - Please

Could someone help me and tell me how to allow the remote control buttons
to function for a DVD I have created I can not figure out how to connect them through the connections pane. any help is very much appreciated!

Many of the buttons have default settings which can't be changed. However, you can alter the menu call, Title menu call and return button (if it exists on your handset).
Click on the disc icon in outline view, then look in the property inspector - you will see the drop down settings boxes for the remote control there - these are the overarching settings which would govern the entire disc behaviour for these buttons.
However, you can over ride the disc settings within an individual track. Click on the track in outline view and check the property inspector again. You may see the remote settings set to 'Same as Disc' - they have inherited the disc level settings. You can simply change these to what you want for each track, story or slideshow.
There are other settings which you can use, called User Operations. These govern fine detail in the playback and use of the remote control, and are generally left alone unless you know what they are doing. You can, for example, disable the handset button for fast forward, or disable the menu button completely for a particular track - such as an intro FBI warning - so that the viewer has to watch it. You can also disable or enable a whole raft of other controls in there as well... use with caution!
Finally, you need to be aware of how the buttons actually respond when you are in different locations on your DvD. For example, if you play a track and use the menu button, you will go to a menu. If you press the menu button again when you get there, you go back to the track (it acts like a resume function). This is all normal and yet causes so much grief when people expect it to take them up through the menu hierarchy. The Title button will take you to the first menu on your disc from pretty much anywhere (unless it is disabled). The return button is designed to move you through the menu hierarchies, but there are limitations on its use.
The other buttons generally can't be trapped and made to perform anything other than their default actions as defined by the DVD Spec.

Power button and voice control buttons won't work on my macbook pro retina

I found that my power and voice control buttons won't work on my new Macbook pro retina. I can't shut it down or restart it in any way. And Im afraid if I force to shut it down I can't turn on it cuz the power button won't work. What should I do? Any idea???

Quit Facetime and Messages if either is running.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following item from the Library folder to the Trash (either may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent
Leave the Library folder open. Log out and log back in. Try the applications again. If they work now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
Step 2
If you still have problems, quit again. In the Preferences subfolder, there may be several files having names that begin with any of the following strings:
com.apple.imdsmsrecordstore
com.apple.imservice
Move them all to the Trash. There may also be a file with the name "com.apple.imagent.plist". Move that to the Trash too.
Also in the Preferences folder, there's a subfolder named "ByHost". Open it and do the same thing.
Log out and log back in. Test again.

Opened quicktime and dont have any play or control buttons

i cant play any .mov files. when i open quicktime there arent any control buttons available nor is there a choice for quiecktime preferences. cn anyone help with this issue?

The player controls are in the video window of the movie you want to play. Either drop the movie on to the quicktime player icon or use quicktime player's File menu, Open File to open the desired movie.

Movie Clip Button - Action Script issues

This is a two part question:
1. I have my movie clip button, "mcAboutus" then inside my
movie clip I have 5 layers: actions, labels, text, animated
rollover("mcAboutusover"), animated rolloff("mcAboutusoff"). On the
labels layer I have _up, _over, _off. On the _up is the text layer,
on the _over is a movie clip of the animated
rollover("mcAboutusover") which is 90 frames, and I want to loop as
long as the mouse is over the text. And the _off has the
"mcAboutusoff" movie clip.
So I was able to have the rollover work, but when I roll off
the rollover animation continues on until the end of the animation.
I understand it has to do with the fact that it's a movie clip, but
how do I point it to go into the movie clip and read the animation
and that on the last frame of the animation I have a
"gotoAndPlay(1);" to have the animation continue looping as long as
it's in a rollover state?
here is the code I have for the _root:

The other problem I am having is that once the I have rolled

ALSO.... The reason that I have the main movie clip button,
and two movie clips residing in the mcBtn is I wanted light rays to
be glowing from the text, and I was having a hard time getting what
I wanted from Flash, so I created in After Effects and exported two
.SWF files. So those .SWF files are the _over and _off states in
the mcBtn. I am having a very hard time controlling those Movie
Clips within the main MC Button. Please, any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Rattling volume control buttons

Just a small point but having moved from an original iphone to new 3gs I notice that the volume control buttons rattle around - very noticeable when the phone vibrates in the cradle. On the original iphone the buttons were very solid with no movement (except when pushed!) Is this just the way things are made now?

I also had the 2G, but also had the 3G and going now to 3Gs there is a difference in the snugness of the silent switch, at least on mine I can tell it's definately not the volume buttons...if you do a bit more investigating you'll probably find it's the silent switch not the volume buttons...
And yes it seems there are a lot of people that have this same experience...you can try to have Apple swap for new phone but it's a 50/50 chance they will...

Quicktime volume control button

I am facing the following problem when importing an mp4 file as quicktime object on Director 12.0 (on Windows 7): I have Controls button checked so that the user can pause and play the video or control the volume. Althought everything works fine when i play the movie on the stage, when i publish it, in the .exe file the volume control button (and only this) doesn't function properly: the volume bar isn't displyed and so i cannot control the volume of the video. Any thoughts?

I just tried the same with a D12 projector on Windows 7 and the sound control button did not function.
The only solutions I can think of is to create a separate volume control button.
This statement sets the volume of the QuickTime movie playing in sprite channel 7 to 256, maximum volume.
sprite(7).volume = 256
I have a volume button sample .exe. Let me know if you want to check it out.

FLV Control Button

Hey guys, I haven't been using flash as much. Can someone
please guide me on controlling an FLV Movie.
I imported a FLV movie into my fla file, and i have it on
frame one and it plays right on through.
The parameters are set to auto play, auto rewind but it stops
at the end. I wanted to import an image so that at the end of the
FLV clip it will show that image and they can click on it and it
will replay the FLV clip all over again. So it will loop in that
order.
What action scripting do i need. I am so lost. Any help will
be greatly appreciated.

If You are using a the component for playing flv , you can
use the control buttons.
Hope you are using like movieclip, in this case you can treat
them as a normal movieclip only. Its all are imported in the frames
only.....

Open folders in same window (in toolbar control button mode)

Hi, when I set a finder window to hide the toolbar from view, using the toolbar control button in the top right, the folders open a new window when clicked.
Is it possible to set them to open in the same window?

Crystal Report/STRUTS: Error (404) when clicking on Control Buttons (Print, Export, Next, Previous, etc...) on report viewer

Need help badly!!!
We are using the crystal reports plugin for STRUTS.
We are able to display the report in the crystal report viewer. However, when we click any control buttons (print, export, etc...), then we get:
JSPG0036E: Failed to find resource /Report-viewer.jsp
We then moved Report-viewer.jsp to the WebContents folder (root directory) and got a different error when we clicked any control button:
Error: 400 page not found
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? For instance, is there a setting or parameter that needs to be set?

Whenever we print the viewer does an auto postback, I believe due to this some of the values are getting missed. Moreover we are referring to the viewer and reportdocument object, it seems. So can you try this simple code in an application to see if it helps:
ReportDocument rdoc = new ReportDocument();
rdoc.Load("C:\TASKECrystalReports\Intraday.rpt");
rdoc.SetDatabaseLogon("uid","pwd");
rdoc.SetParameterValues("parameter name","value");
CrystalReportViewer.ReportSource = rdoc;

How do I move control of my ATV from one Mac to another in the same house?

I have two iMacs in the office. I have ATV2 on my flat screen TV. I want to move control of ATV from one iMac running Snow Leopard to to the other running Lion, because of more and better content. Not sure how to accomplish this. Thanks for any help you can lend.

Ok I understand that but my ATV only appears in the left control column of one iMac and not the other. Not the one I want to control it with.
