IOS 8 Uninstall?

I am having similar problems with IOS 8 and iPad 2.  Safari slowing to a crawl or stopping entirely.  Apps not starting for long periods, choppy video.  Is there a way to roll back to the previous operating system until there is an update?

Use the reset to factory default condition, by way of iTunes. Be sure to always do your backups ...

No; they will not downgrade that device, and it’s highly unlikely that they have the same iPhone model running an older iOS version.

  • IOS 7 Uninstall?

The new iOS 7 software looks nice and has some good features however since i've installed it my battery life has decreased significantly and i am very vigilant at minimizing the apps running in my background. Is there a way to uninstall the iOS 7?

I am also finding that my battery life has decreased since upgrading to IOS 7. I also find the new interface less than an improvement. The diary is awful, setting the start / finish time of a new appointment much more difficult, there's no ascending ring volume for the phone, the screen saver folders are less clear .... I could go on!

  • Unusual iTunes problem when restoring iOS firmware(s).

As the topic says, I am having a very strange issue with iTunes and restoring iOS to not only my iPad, but also to my iPod Touch 2nd Gen. So far the only way I have been able to remedy the problem seems to be manually removing iTunes and all API's and/or Frameworks via Terminal; and then re-installing iTunes. For the last several months I have been using iTunes 10.1.1/2 and when I've had to restore my iPad, I have ran into the following problem:
I put my device info DFU Mode to update and here is what happens, it extracts the software as usual and proceeds to restore. It gets nearly to the end of the restore, approximately 97-98% in iTunes, just before the Verifying Restore phase. And it simply hangs there, I have let the device sit for 10+ minutes and does not move. As I said, the only way I can fix it is to completely remove iTunes and re-install. And here is where things get even stranger yet.
A day after I had previously restored, I had to restore again because the iPad AppStore would not open properly on my iPad, and also on the previous day I had uninstalled/re-installed iTunes. And the hanging problem once again occurred, I am not sure why, _*but it seems like every time I restart*_ my MacBook Pro something in iTunes becomes corrupted for some reason and the only way to resolve the issue is a(n) uninstall/reinstall of iTunes.
If anyone has anything to add to help with, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  • I tried to sync my iPhone 4S to new work laptop and it keeps buzzing, won't sync

I just got a new Dell laptop for work and installed iTunes.  When I hooked up my iPhone 4S to my laptop, Windows first showed that it was installing some driver and then iTunes opened, and then my phone just kept repeat buzzing.  I noticed the battery icon & bluetooth icon at the top right of phone screen kept flickering.  I opened Control Panel-Device Manager-Bluetooth Devices and a Bluetooth Mobile Device icon would pop up and then disappear repeatedly.
I tried disabling the Bluetooth driver, and then disconnected and re-connected my phone - iTunes opened up again but I still got the repeat buzzing, and an error message that iTunes could not connect to phone.
I still have my old laptop and it connects and syncs my phone no problem.
Not sure what is the problem or what to do next?
I'm guessing my IT dept will just tell me that they don't support iTunes and that I'm on my own with this issue.

  • My iPhone won't restore. It is in dfu mode and when I try and restore I get an error 21 message. I have tried to reinstall iTunes and disable my security and firewalls. No luck apple say send in for a 348 buck hardware reset/fix. Any thoughts.

I am open to trying anything. Until I plugged it into computer I just kept getting a apple symbol then it would turn off every five second it would light up then turn off. I man the boost network and don't live near an apple store. 3 hours away! Would Telstra or Optus shop look at it ? Or should I just send it too Apple and pay. It is 14 months old my iPhone 5

  • My Iphone has been slowly breaking every since I installed Ios7?

I have experienced a variety of problems with my Iphone 4S ever since installing the new ios7. My Iphone is only about 14 months old, and I have not had any problems with it up until the update. I love Apple products, and installed to updates on all of my devices and my families - but I think I got the short end of the stick!! The first sign was my battery life, it would not last for more than 6 hours, and that was just when it was in my bag, not really being used. I looked it up online, and saw others had noted a similar problem. I dismissed it as being down to the new, fancy Ios needing more battery life, and the fact my iphone was now over a year old. Then, in the past 4 weeks my wifi has not been connecting, and when it does, it will only stay connected for a short period of time - my data bill from my carrier was obviously very expensive!!
I started talking to customer support on the live chat feature for Apple and it was actually really helpful and quick! After running diagnostics they advised they would restore my iphone to factory defaults to check whether the problems I was having was due to hardware or software problems. I hadn't backed-up important pictures etc, so asked if I could get back to them or do it myself.
Finally, today I clicked to open a text message and it just froze. I decided to plug it into the mains charger to see if it kick started it back to life but nope, nothing. So I tried connecting to my laptop. Nope! It made the noise to acknowledge it but it didnt do anything on screen or anything. So I clicked restore and decided I'd just have to follow Apples advise and restore.
This is where I got REALLY angry.
The restore did not work. It got 3 quarters of the way through and failed. An error message advised it was 'Error 29.' Which if you research that error number, its to do with Ios7. So now I've got an utterly useless Iphone 4s which is telling me to connect to itunes, but then when I do it doesn't work!!
I am now led to believe that Apple will not replace my Iphone as it is over 12 months old.
I am outraged and would seriously advised anyone to not update any Apple updates, or infact seriously contemplate purchasing any new Apple products.
If anyone has any suggestions about how to fix my Iphone that would be great? In an ideal world, Apple would replace my phone that they have now effectively broken.

According to this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694 which describes the error codes from restore errors, it does not say anywhere in there that it has anything to do with iOS 7, it has to do with security software and anti-virus software on the computer.
Do you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer? What computer OS are you using? If you have anti-virus software on the computer, what is it? If you are using a windows computer, follow the link in the information below to temporarily disable your firewall/anti-virus software to attempt the restore again.
    Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, and 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue.
