IOS Activation

I just downloaded IOS 6 on my phone and it is on the screen where i have to sign into my Apple ID. The problem is that i dont know my apple ID password and i dont know the password to get into the email since it was my really old one. I went to the forgot password thing to answer the activation questions but i cant answer them right either, but it's my account. what am i suppose to do? i can skip the step, but would i be able to go back later, if not what would it change?

Can't be done without knowing the AppleID and password. If you bought the phone recently ask for your money back as it's useless to you unless you know that information.

The iOS activation lock is a new feature that will be introduced in iOS 7, and is currently only something that can be used as part of the iOS 7 beta. The activation lock is exactly what the name suggests, it's a lock to prevent activation. This is done so that if the device is stolen, it can't be used. There is no work around you can do on your end, the only way it can be done is for the original owner to remove this device from his "find my iPhone" settings, which he can only do by giving you his appleID login details.
As activation lock is part of iOS 7 developer preview beta, you might get more information at the developer forums however it's more than likely you got ripped off

[Activation] Apple iOS Activation servers down?

Hi, today i was trying to update my iPhone 4S from iOS 5.0 to 5.1.1. No problems restoring it, but when i try to activate it, the process fails every time. It seems that Apple Activation servers are down?
Im a computer enthusiast and have already checked my home network for issues that can block access to apple servers, also checked from another network and machines, but still no luck. Tried to activate using WiFi on my iPhone, 3G network, and even Connect to iTunes on my PC. I noticed that apple activation server is gs.apple.com. Pinging it from any source on my network just generates timeouts, and even tried to ping it from online pages that provide ping service (ping.eu), but it generates timeouts too.
This is happening since about 3 hours ago, and im still with my iphone waiting for activation, cant restore backups neither. It seems that my iphone, for now, its only filling space on my protective case.
I attached a traceroute and pings from my network and from an online page that provides it, also Screenshots of both errors on my iPhone and iTunes.

Hi, to activate your iPhone using wi-fi:
1) Connect to your wi-fi then press the home button and press more wi-fi settings
2) A blue arrow should appear next to you wi-fi name, press the blue arrow
3) On the DNS section input 8.8.8.8 and then try the activation again.

IOS Active Tasks will not push outside the network?

So I have been testing out the Mavericks OSX Server, and Mobile Device Management..
So far, I have been able to enroll my iOS successfully when connected to the network. I am also able to apply "remove passcode" with no issues.
The issue occurs when I am attempting to apply any changes to the iOS when its not connected to the network. It would just sit on "pending..,"
Below are the ports I have allowed on my SOnicwall :
2195-2196 (TCP)
5223 (TCP)
1640 (TCP)
443 (TCP)
I have verified via a port scanner that the following ports are open 80/443/1640.
Any suggestions?

I figured it out.. it had to do with my FQDN and DNS.. apparently, my public DNS had not updated the IP.. once that was completed, all is good now

IPhone 5s is stuck in wiggle mode

This just started happening today. I tap and hold an app to move it. All the icons wiggle but I can't do anything with them, delete or move. After a few minutes the phone goes to the black screen with the apple icon, then to the logon screen.
this in an iPhone 5s which I have had about 6 months with no problems. It is running IOS8.1.2, I have not done the most recent update. I have 5.5 GB available.
any ideas? I need to reinstall an app that is acting up.

Can't sign into revel from photoshop

I cannot sign into revel while in photoshop to sync my photos. I am using windows 7. The revel account ios active and able to be accessed from outside photoshop. How do I fix photoshop to link with revel again?

Zenworks mobile management activesync with datasynchronizer

Can I point zenworks mobile management server at the datasynchronizer as an activesync for auto enrolment?

Option A seems to work reliably today with Exchange 2007 so as long as the DataSync team properly implements the settings request for email address provided in the ActiveSync 12.1 protocol then it should work reliably. As for B today if the device doesn't support 12.1 or the server doesn't support 12.1 as is the case right now the only approach we currently have is to strip off the domain from the email address and attempt authentication as the user specified in the email. We are working to see if there is some other approach we can take once we provide additional LDAP enhancements in the next version of the product. But for now the two options you identified in our long term solution are the knowns. I'll forward this thread on to both the DataSync team and the ZMM development team and see if we can all come up with some better ideas.

All this restrictions unfortunately mean that hands-off enrollment is going
to fail for many setups. (including us)
A requirement that the local-part of an email address has to match the
username is ridiculous. (Yes, we all know that Exchange 2003 and ActiveSync
2.5 are ****...)
I am not sure if understand the long term solution:
A) If a user gives just a username, the device must get the corresponding
email address from the ActiveSync system. Available with protocol version
12.1. Fine. (As long as the device uses protocol version 12.1)
B) A user gives an email-address, the username must be derived from the
local-part. Where/How?, local-part == username is an invalid assumptionand
the device does the parsing and just returns the local-part as username to
the ActiveSync system. (And this information is IMO not enough to find the
real username)
Or is B) not allowed (or a really bad idea/design decision) as A) does
reliably work?

How do i fix i a loose phone connection on the phone port end of things?

My iphone port connection is loose. I found this out by playing music in the car. If i hit a bump the system will not read the information.

I would not know any. I know that I do not bother with eBay or such places for electronics and other devices. These very forums are full of posts from people who bought used online only to receive a hacked device that then failed to work, or recently the big problem is iOS Activation Lock keeping them from using their iOS device and resellers who either refuse to respond when contacted, or try to extort even more money to get Actvation Lock removed.
If you want a reliable device, then buy from a trustworthy source. I have not used eBay in years - just completely lost faith in it for anything a long time ago now.

IMessage is Activated but its Not working after ios 6.1.3(10B329) iPhone 4

i update my iPhone 4 to ios 6.1.3(10B329) and i restore my backup and i synced my Transfered Purchases and i discovered that the iMessage is not working, i tried to re-activate the iMessage feature ,i Did but it still not working, i Contact Vodafone and they Told me that they have nothing to do and its Probably a Problem in apple server!

Both users need to have an active data connection, either wifi or cellular for iMessage to work. Also, both have to have iMessage activated. It is difficult for you to tell what is going on for the other user. However, you might want to try this to flush out any problems in the system. Go into Settings and disable iMessage. Reset the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, go back into Setting and activate iMessage. Try an iMessage after that.

Could you not restore the device to an earlier version?
No, you cannot downgrade your iOS device.
That may mean jailbreaking, I'm not sure.
Jailbreaking is not supported by Apple or this forum.
Or what about replacing the motherboard?
There are no user serviceable parts on an iPhone.

Yes the phone belongs to me. It was purchased from United Kingdom Vodafone to West Africa, i had to factory unlock to use any sim in it. so it belongs to me. I did the activation myself, now after updating my iphone to the latest update, it required a user id and password to activate the phone, but anytime i enter the details, it tells me the user Id is not correct but the password is correct..

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

That would be the wireless number assigned by AT&T when the purchaser of the iPhone signed up as a customer with AT&T. If neither you nor your uncle ever activated the iPhone with AT&T, click the "non customer" button.
Note that jailbreaking often renders it impossible to get an iPhone officially unlocked, so don't be surprised if it fails. If it does, then you may have to buy a new iPhone, this time one that is officially unlocked.
