The best advice I can offer for your iTunes problems is to try creating a new test user on your computer. Check to see if iTunes behaves the same way in the new user.
As for your iPod issues, you should try restoring your iPod via iTunes, erasing all software and content components on the device. Once the device is restored, do not restore from backup and do not sync any of your content.
You mentioned that you use Notes and Contacts. You want to make sure that you email yourself your notes from the application and assure that you've got all your contacts synced with your computer.
Use the iPod in its restored state for a few hours. If you notice a favorable difference, begin to start syncing your content back over.

SW 2.10 seems to be now rolling out in NSU (I suspect it will probably take about 2 weeks to get to all countries and operators like 2.00 did).
I bet this resolves the issue with some 3rd party applications not running, sms slow down etc
I loaded it and actually bought the BestTaskman (because so many people talked about it) and it works (its a good app too). I never owned it before so I cant say it fixed it but it works now.
Its a bit of a hassle loading each time but on the positive side we can keep getting new updates and new features some times (like WDRM)

Wow.. Nokia is really rolling.. but i must highlight..
If your phone is doing fine then there is absolutely no need for the updates.. i hope some of the bigger stalwarts would agree.
I am running the 2.00.052 version.. and the phone seems to be in perfect working mode.. no hassles whatsoever with videos or the slow sms.. in one of my previous posts i had mentioned that once i press send the msg leaves the phone within 6 seconds, which is pretty OK if not fast enough..
But knowing myself, i would upgrade it to 2.10.xxx also hahahahhaha.. just a thought...

Roll out of New BB 10 OS 10.2.1

We are still not having this new OS available in India......

Quite an interesting response from them! Not accurate either...whoever you spoke to was somewhat poorly trained (or, perhaps excellently trained at fobbing their customers off!!). The carriers control completely the normal distribution of OS updates to their end users. This is how it is, and has always been, with BBs.
Further, by posting here on this site, you are not achieving a "check with BlackBerry", for this site is a user-to-user community, not a user-to/from-BB conduit of communication.

Roll out for new plant need some informations

Hi,
We are going to roll out for our 2nd plant. So I need your help.
I am explaining the scenario,
Current scenario is: we have two manufacturing plants (ex:-one in noida and another in gurgaon) and in both plants we have six product line (in A plant=3, in B plant=3).
For both plants we are using one Company code (1000). and we are not using the business area.
But now the problem is this, that management wants separate reporting (P&l statement and Balance sheet) Plant wise and Product wise.
We decide to create a separate co- code for 2nd plant and six business area for product lines.
(In this regards I need your suggestions that how can we define the enterprise structure)
Please tell me
1. what new configurations we need to be done for new co-code?
2. In which areas business area will be affected and how and where we will assign the business area?
3. As we are doing transaction in sap since last year and we are doing this roll out in mid of 2008 so what will be the impact on the business.
4. How we will transfer the transactional data from one co-code to another, because data of both plants lies in previous co-code(1000).
Data like:- A. Transfer of General ledger balances
          B. Transfer of open line items of General ledgers
          C. Transfer of asset and accumulated depreciation from one co code to another.
          D. Controlling transfer postings.
          E. Customer / Vendor open items and balances transfer posting. Etc
If someone knew about something more to be taken care of, please guide so that we can successfully complete the roll out.
Please advice me, its urgent. if any one can give me his mobile to make me understood i can call to him .

Session Times out with new update on iTunes

I am having an issue with the new update. I click update, and it gets all the way to the end and it states "error: session has timed out" or server has timed out.. not quite sure which one. I went into the apple store and the guys there said try uninstalling iTunes and re-install. didnt work.. any suggestions on what to do? i really need to update my phone! Thanks in advance!

Wifi connects but shortly times out after new update - v.10.7.5

hello, I am writing this on my pc, as I have some issues on my mac, let me explain this in a little more detail:
on 1/2/13 (m/y) I was doing some school work, when I was told updates have downloaded and is ready to install.
I decided only to update 10.7.5, because I was a bit annoyed at the frequency itunes and some other program was being updated.
Afterwards I installed the new update, restarted the mac,etc.,etc.
I then signed on to my account when I noticed spotify said it did not work offline,(I'm rambling a bit,so you may skip ahead) so I then went to turn on wifi, which I then connected to my home network,let's call it "x", I connected to X ,but after a few seconds, when I noticed safari had failed to open the page.
I checked again to my wifi and it said Could not join "X" - a connection timeout occured.
I tried network diagnostics, which said Network Change Detected, I proceeded to the next step, all the "lights" were green but than after 3-5 seconds all of them except Wi-Fi turned red, it also said:
Unable to join wi-fi network.
this kept happening, what can I do now?

Just upgraded to 10.9. was hoping it would fix the bugs in the last system. now my Epson scanner won't work. Downloaded their newest software. No go with the new OSX. Why would Apple roll out a new free upgrade that interferes with Epson?

Just downloaded OS 10.9. hoped it would fix bugs from the last version. now I can't use my Epson perfection 4870 scanner. Cehcked with Epson. They say the software is an Apple update. checked with Apple-No Go.
For now my Scanner just won't work. I'm surprised Apple would introduce new OS material -free- which compromises a good vendor like Epson.

My issue is a large amount of money spent over many years on computers for my company, myself, wife and sons. Got an investment here
The company I favor, Apple sent me a message that they have a wonderful new Maverick operating system.
I send documents back and forth to friends and people to do business. Hoped maverick would fix the bugs from Leopard.
With Maverick system, my main document sender, Epson perfection 4870 and its software doesn't work anymore, or so it seems to me.
Checked with Apple, very apologetic, they can't help, maybe it will be fixed in a couple of days...
Epson, referred me to Apple...

So, lot of money over the years. Plenty of smart, well compensated folks writin code at both companies. I can't keep up with tit all, they don't keep up with each other.
Bottom line Apple releases a product that doesn't work well for a lot of little people like me. Maybe some clear expanation would help re:Macjack..
I certainly don't understand all the ins and outs of a zillion dollar computer behemoth business model. Do know this though, If I ran my business like this customers would go somewhere else and some would probably sue me.

App store locked out by new update- what a hassle

So I got my new Pal Pixie and I really do like it. Then I immediately updated from the app store the Forbes Reader- Excellent and really liked it- very legible
THEN I made the first mistake and updated to the new 1.3.5.1 software that is supposed to make the app store BETTER. Well it LOCKED out the store and would
not let me download anything- the download button would say "download for free" and then I could hit the button over and over and nothing would happen.
So I went to Best Buy the girl was VERY helpful (unusual) and she reset my Pixie- to no avail the app store was STILL locking out and not letting me download anything- free or not.
So she replaced the phone - I of course DID NOT upgrade to the new version and everything works fine. App store works great phone works great-
Moral of the story DO NOT UPGRADE TO THE NEW VERSION YET it has a major bug for the app store. Palm please fix ASAP

I didn't want my iPod things restored on my iPhone and it wiped everything out including new update

I got my new iPhone and I plugged it into the computer and it restored all of my iPod things and got rid of all of my new things and the new iOS 7 update! How can I get it back to normal again!? As if it was a "new iPhone".

Did your new iphone have a backup made in itunes or icloud? If so, all you need to do is restore from that backup.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Itunes preferences get wiped out with new updates

Under itunes preferences I like to keep my files organized and to copy over files when I add them to itunes. Every time i get an itunes update and download it, these settings get wiped out. It's really annoying. Any thoughts?

I'm starting a polite, yet direct, thread for Verizon to roll-out WebOS 1.4.5.1 for the Pre Plus users. I love my phone, and actually like my Verizon service. Stopping Services when rolling out NAL Update

I am trying to roll out a newer version of McAfee software. Before NAL
can successfully install the update I need to turn off the McAfee
services that are already running.
Is there an easy way to have the NAL turn off the services?

For McAfee, we use the McAfee Installation Designer to build an
MSI-based (with Setup.exe) install. From there I build a simple
application object that launches setup.exe with /qb /i in the
parameters. Combined with the script I mentioned in the previous post I
now have an app object I can re-run against any machine having problems
with McAfee; it removes McAfee then re-installs it using the installer
McAfee provided.
I try to use the snapshot tool as little as possible. If an installer
has command-line options for a silent install I use a simple app object
to launch the installer for that app. Keeping away from snapshots
reduces my dependence on ZENworks, or any specific deployment vendor.
If I make a "deployment tool agnostic" installer, I can move that to any
deployment tool and not have to reinvent anything. If my shop were to
abandon ZENworks and go with something else, I now have to rebuild all
my snapshot'd apps using the new tool.
Along this line of thought, now that my shop is moving to ZENworks 6.5,
I have access to the InstallShield AdminStudio (comes with Zen 6.5)
which has tools that take the pain our of manipulating MSI packages. I
recently attended the Zen 6.5 ATT class and it was highly recommended to
start using MSIs anywhere you could.
If you haven't yet stumbled across it, www.appdeploy.com is a great
resource for building silent installs (I have no affiliation with
AppDeploy).

New update available for Lumia 800 (1600.2487.8107...

Good news! We have brought forward the software update schedule for our Nokia Lumia 800, and have begun rolling out the latest update 1600.2487.8107.12070 to India and Singapore. This update will gradually be available for more markets in the coming weeks and we will keep you informed via our support pages as well as via a similar announcement here on Nokia Discussions Forum, once we add additonal markets to the roll out.
As this is not a mandatory software update, not every country or network carrier will make it available to their customers. However, all features and enhancements will be included in subsequent software updates. There is no request, there is an absolute necessity! Patience is usually my second nature, but the whole non communication policy since the launch of the Nokia Lumia 800 is scandalous. When Nokia finally listening to their customers and responds quickly to problems and childhood illnesses. Like many others with me I'll be forced to daily to plug my device to the Zune software in the hope that Nokia (Netherlands) will be so kind to update my phone.
Nokia, listen, communicate (especially in the media and forums) and trade as a company that lives up to your image.
