IOS Killed my Ipad - dead as a door nail.

I have just updated my Ipad 1 with the latest apple software IOS 6. i did not realise the ipad 1 was not supported by this software upgrade! anyhow the problem i know have is. after the software had downloaded and the installation had been completed, i was entering my icloud details in the inital set up that comes up on screen upon rebooting. I pressed next and my ipad went completely dead and hasnt worked since...! it had 58% batt left and was on a charger at the time. ii have pressed the home and sleep buttons down at same time to attempt to reset it - didnt work i get absolutley no response whatsoever. I have plugged it into itunes and a pop up tells me its in recovery mode and it needs to be restored however i dont get any response at all from the ipad itself, its just completey black screen and no sounds when on charge or anything. i have pressed restore and it fails and shows a "1600" error. i found an apple support site which offered the explanation for this error and i followed the instructions on how to reslove this and nothing has worked! *** can i do, this is bullukka!!
is there any way i can reverse this damage?

Thanks. That means a lot coming from you. Admittedly I didn't know it was so hot in Florida but from what the OP describes the heat sensor is the first thing that came to mind. It would make sense. I really hope it's ok for him . > Tamara wrote:

My 32g iPhone 4s iOS7 has been working well since the day I got it. Even today until about 3pm. It's fully charged. I checked something on it and returned it to my pocket. Next time I looked at it, it would not power up. Even tho Apple Support is off today for the 4th, they won't speak to me until I get my serial number, which I can't retrieve from a dead phone. I've gone thru all the power up procedures I know and I have attached it to a power cable to see if that would help. Nada. TIA for any tips or tricks. I'm at a complete loss. My wife is laughing at my desperation.

My M will not charge at all. Hooked up right but no action, no blue light up top and no charge. So I sent Creative a e-mail stating I would like to have it fixed. The reply was that it was out of the warranty window and gave me website to buy a new one. I specifically asked to have it fixed as one: I bought it specifically because the battery could be replaced on it and Two: I can't afford to buy a new one. How do I get it fixed then? Its three years old and moderately used, not like I abused the thing 24/7, which I?m sort of annoyed about.... I don't care if I have to pay a fee for repair... I just want it fixed. Any thoughts? Thank You. I have looked around and have seen places that sell the battery but I?m not at all bright with fixing stuff like this on my own. My computer yes, my MP3 player, have no clue.

IOS 8 and black dead camera

After the latest iOS update, camera went dead, black screen on both rear and front cameras when using Apple Camera occasionally can capture video but photo is dead. Not a hardware issue I suppose, since it works just fine with Google's SnapSeed App. Does anyone else experienced this? Anyone knows how to fix it? How do you complain about it to Apple?

So, basically now... the gallaries are gonna be the same. Because if you delete one photo from the iphone, you also delete it from ipad and viceversa.
This is stupid because i want to keep some photos on the ipad, but don't wanna have them on the phone.
AM I FORCED TO HAVE IPAD AND IPHONE WITH THE SAME PHOTOS???

You have regular albums and shared album.
As long as you do not enable iCloud Photo Library Beta, your photos are stored only on the iPad, unless you add them to a shared album.
When you create an album in the "Albums" tab, with "tap , enter a name, then tap Save. Select photos and videos to add to the album, then tap Done", this album is local on the iPad or iPhone.
Only "Shared" albums are stored on all devices,
When you delete photos from the photo stream, the deleted photos are removed from My Photo Stream on all your devices, but the original photos remain in Photos on the device on which they were originally taken. Photos that you save to another album on a device or computer are also not deleted.

Error 9 (repeatable) after ios update on ipad 3

Hi,
I tried to update my ipad 3 to the newest ios and it crashed. Won't turn on anymore, resetting keeps ending in Error 9 (two different machines, three different cables). Any chance to get that god **** thing going again? The ******* genius bar offers me exactly one afternoon to drop the bricked piece of metal, but I have to work. I am really frustrated.

Also: I am not going to wait half an hour in front of a ******* apple store to have them tell me that it is a hardware error (it is not, worked perfectly fine before the update, no other way than being triggerd by it) and that they will kindly replace it for 350 bucks (wait, is that the price for a new nexus 9? oh, it is!). I am not an idiot. It's still hard to grasp how people accept that kind of "support" by a company that likes to present itself as industry leader.

Eu estive chateado com o iOS 7 no iPad 3 por causa de uma lentidão e travamentos quando girava a tela do aparelho, então descobri que se usar papeis de parede nativos do sistema e estáticos os travamentos, quando se retorna a aplicações minimizadas e se vira a tela do aparelho, diminuem.
No sistema existem outros bugs como desativar a sincronia de Documentos/Dados no iCloud diminui lentidão do teclado.
Alguém sabe como avisar à Apple sobre isso para que consertem por favor?

You have to restore the iPad to factory settings without using the back - if the backup contains the password for restrictions. If the backup does not contain the password, you can use it. But remember that if you use that backup, you turn back the clock on the iPad to the date and time that the backup was created and you lose everything that you have acquired with regard to data and photos since then.
However, when you restore to factory settings, you erase the iPad complete and will have to start all over again. Much of your paid content can be downloaded again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID.

I am unable to update my iOS on my iPad and iPhone. Though I have had these devices and have been updating for over a year, the issue just started with this new release (iOS 5.1).
When I connect my Pad and Phone to iTunes (Windows PC with Vista), I am told that an update is available. When I update, iTunes tries to connect to a server. Then I receive the message, "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPad. The network connection could nopt be established."
When I try to update the devices iOS using WiFi directly (not connected to iTunes). The devices say, "Checking for Update..." and does not connect. It says, "Unable to check for update...An error occurred while checking for a software update...Cancel or Try Again"

I solved this by downlading the iOS update via wi-fi at another location other than my home. I would still like to know why this download did not work at my home as it has for over a year. I have made no changes in my firewall or security settings.

If your iPad shuts down intermittently, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting - note: the article is for iPhones but this section is relevant to iPads as well.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button
