IOS Mail syncing issues with iCloud - emails from 1970!!!!!

I woke up this morning to find some very weird behaviour on my iOS devices (iPhone 5 32GB, iPad 2 32GB).
Both mail apps are synced to my mail accout with icloud yet both only seem willing to sync with all email from today and yesterday, and then only show emails from late November 2012. My iPad also seems to believe that I was sent some emails from 01/01/1970!!!!
As far as I am aware all was fine yesterday, and all seems to be fine with mail on my Mac.
Any advice much appreciated,
I deleted the account from my phone and then re-added it but the problem was still there.

I have previously successfully fixed similar problem by resetting all settings. Settings - general - reset - reset all settings. Do not click the line that says erase content. You will lose your screen wallpaper, your wifi password and other minor stuff that is not worth mentioning, but nothing important.

Just recently, I have been unable to receive icloud email on my iphone and new ipad3. Although, I am a loyal apple consumer, I feel a bit let down. I am a PhD student and used my ipad/icloud email for downloading and reading PDF journal articles. My goal is to eventally buy a MacBook Pro and eliminate some of the syncing issues with icloud by storing my documents on the hard drive. Mail sync issue with iPhone - drains the battery

I am using microsoft webmail sync with my iPhone and lately it has started draining the phone battery (hardly stands 2 hours with full charge). I deleted the mail account from iPhone and it works fine again.
Is there any settings tweak that i can try to avoid this happening again

Try going to Settings>iCloud, turn Mail off, then after a few seconds turn Mail back on. This deletes, then adds back you iCloud email account and may clear things up.

Syncing Issues with iCloud and iPhone

My iPhone 4 had to be replaced. Yesterday I spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple Care while they tried to resolve the issue of why my new phone wasn't syncing with my Address Book and Calendars. The cloud FINALLY gave up the data. Now I find that not all of my ringtones have synced. Does anyone know how to resolve this particular syncing issue? The ringtones are in my iTunes library under "ringtones," they were on my other iPhone 4 and worked just fine, and I've checked the boxes in front of each one on the "Sync Ringtones" window when my new iPhone 4 is plugged in. Four out of ten have synced. The rest refuse to make the trip. Any clue as to what to do? At this point, I'm ready for the iCloud to disappear and give the old system back.

First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing.

Inbound UMS Adapter Issues with Receiving Emails from Lotus Notes

I have this requirement in my project where I need to read the mails from a particular Email Account which has been created in Lotus Notes. The IMAP Host and port is enabled for the same and I am setting all these in my Server's EM Console UMS Driver settings. I have provided all the Details required for Incoming Email Driver setup like: IncomingMailID, IncomingMailServer, Port, Server Type: IMAP, IncomingMailIDs etc. I have followed all the steps mentioned in regular UMS Adapter Documentation and Blogs.
I can see that Soa-infra is able to access all the mails from this mail Account and I can see the same in the managed server log files also. But the issue is with the BPEL Process which I have created with the Inbound UMS adapter. This process has UMS inbound adapter with the Email address same as the one defined in UMS Configuration in EM Console.
The Process is not getting triggered at all whenever a new mail comes to the mail id. I am not sure what is the issue. If anyone has faced similar issue please let me know the solution for the same.
Also 1 strange thing I observed is, if I go to the Soa-infra proerties-> Human Workflow Management and Test the notification by sending mail to the IncomingMailId, the Process is getting triggered, but if I send a mail from any other gmail/any other account to the IncomingMailID set in Process and server, the Process is not getting triggered.
In the logs I see the following Error messages which I don't think would be impacting the Process to receive messages as soa-infra is able to pick the messages without any issues.

Anyone having issues with iCloud email?

I am having some serious issues accessing my iCloud email today. It keeps checking, and coming up with nothing. This is happening on my iPad, iPhone and MacBook. First noticed the issue when my iPhone brought up a few days worth of email and had them as being unread.
This is really a terrible time for this to happen as I am preparing to close on a home on Friday!
Any help would be great!

Me too! It's driving me crazy. All was fine until about a week ago when my mail account on my MBP started constantly asking for my password. Did all the usual fixes to no avail. Then yesterday my mail account on my iPhone started doing the same thing. And since last night I haven't rec'd any emails in my .me account - which I know is bogus.
This stinks! Someone at Apple please do something. I need reliability with my email accounts as this is primary means of communication.

I have tested the send functionality with my Gmail account and this seems to work ok!
I have spoken to Virgin Media my email provider and they have walked me through removing the account and resetting it up again but to no avail. They have suggested I contact Apple as there appears to be something wrong with the email application on my phone for this particular email account.

Mail sync issue with new iPod Touch

I have been unable to successfully perform an initial mail sync using my new iPod Touch 32 GB with Version 3.1.1.
All is being successfully sync'd with the exception of mail. The error box when I click on mail with the iTouch reads - "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server mail.me.com failed"
I have an active .Mac account. I can successfully log into "mobileme" via my G5 1.8 dual running OS X 10.5.8. My cable web provider is Comcast in the Middle TN area.

Marking this "false alarm" as solved. I'll avoid "jumping the gun" on my next hurdle.

Syncing issues with iCloud

My iPhone 4 syncs to iCloud perfectly however I cannot get my calendar to also sync to the ical on my desktop, the calendar only goes to the ical on iCloud. I would like my events to also appear on my macbook?

You need to be running OS X Lion (10.7.2 or later), and then enable calendar syncing with iCloud as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.

Syncing issue with iCloud - New to iPhone 4s and iCloud

I have just switched to the iPhone 4S from a HTC Desire. So please be gentle.
I have set up several email accounts (GMAIL, HOTMAIL, YAHOO, AIM) on this device, using their calendars, contacts and content. That works fine. My issue is with the iCloud service.
I have switched on iCloud, and selected it to backup my contacts, mail (created a .me account) and applications.
When I log in to the iCloud website, it only has one contact in there (my own contact details) and no calendars. Can someone point out what I am doing wrong here?

Empty your browser cache, restart your computer. Try iCloud.com.
See if that makes a difference. If not delete all Apple cookies from your browser.
Quit your browser, then relaunch, try again.

Having issues with Sending Emails from Excahnge 2013

hope you can help,
I am learning Excahnge 2013 for the first time, and I have just build my first Excahnge 2013 server on a Windows 2012 server.
I follow the steps from "petenetlive.com" on how to install the server and services. as this is a test bed server, I haven't gone as far as getting the Cert's.
I have tried to different domain names from JCPPhotos.local
and jessphotos.co.uk but for some reason, I can't get the exchange to send out a test email, but I am able to send emails within exchange to internal email accounts with no issues.
at the moment as this is a test bed, I have all the services on the same server, AD, Domain Contractor, DNS, but once I have this all sorted out then I will split the services onto different servers.
I have at the moment disable all firewalls on the server, and opened all ports on my main firewall for all out going traffic.
I have set up the send connecter as shown by Petenetive, and as the domain name is the same as my public domain name I have done anything else. has anyone else had the same issues, and if so then can you please advice.

I have check the Queue Viewer, and it looks like all the test emails are blocked, within exchange as it is showinNext

Issue with sending email from the iPhone

I'm still new at this iPhone thing so I may be missing something. When I first got it I turned Wi-Fi on and had been using it for two weeks. Then I figured out that when I turned Wi-Fi off the phone reverted to EDGE for data. The issue is that I can receive email with Wi-Fi turned off but for some reason when I try to send email it tells me it can't contact the mail server. As soon as I switch Wi-Fi back on the emails send. Why would it do this?

Mail sync issue with Gmail Server

I recently acquired an Ipad and set up the Icloud for all my devices (MacBook, Iphone). I have 3 email accounts set up on all devices. The emails on two of the accounts are syncing properly. Issue with iCloud email address

I recently changed the email address I use to sign in to my Apple ID account, and every time I log into my MacBook Pro, iPhone or iPad, it asks me to log in with my old email address. I was able to change the address that comes up when I use iTunes and the App Store, but I can't seem to find a way to change the email address that automatically comes up when prompted to sign in to iCloud, iMessage or FaceTime.
If someone knows how to change this, please let me know! Thanks!

Try going back to http://appleid.apple.com and changing the ID back to the original address. If you can get this accepted, then go to the iCloud preferences/settings pane, stop 'Find My ....', and then sign out. Do the same on any other devices or computers.
Then go back to http://appleid.apple.com and change the ID to the new one. Sign in with that on all your devices.
However as the address which forms the original ID is now not working it can't be validated and it's possible that you won't be able to revert to it. In this situation only Support can help you.

Mail syncing settings with iCloud without my permission?

I noticed that in ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData there is a file called SyncedFilesInfo.plist which specifies that rules, smart mail boxes and signatures are to be synced via iCloud. I don't remember telling Mail to do that so.. what gives?
