IOS "Remote" 2.2 app not correctly entering AppleTV2 Netflix password

Problem: iOS "Remote" 2.2 app will not correctly enter AppleTV2 Netflix password from the iPod/iPhone qwerty keyboard.
Workaround: Tap characters on the AppleTV2 display.

You are not alone. I tried all the fixes, multiple times, but nothing worked.
I think there's nothing to do but wait. The fact that many of us are experiencing the same problem with the iPad Remote app, and the fact that the iPhone Remote app still works fine, tells me it's a glitch in the software - maybe Apple TV 5.2, maybe iOS 6.1 (I updated to both yesterday).
Meanwhile, since Apple does not read these forums, I suggest we all leave comments on their feedback page: http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html
That way they'll at least know a bunch of us are having this issue.
Hopefully Apple will issue a fix soon.

Hey everyone-
Im in the same boat, started a thread . My hands free system worked fine with iOS 8 out of the box new iphone 6. Did the update this morning and i can stream music perfectly fine however i cannot make or receive calls through hands free system.
I have not tried resetting the settings like most people indicate is working. I feel like I shouldn't have to reset anything, even less mess with settings with an update coming from apple. it should "Just Work"
Some people who reset said it works for a few hours, other say it don't work, and I don't know what I should do.

It is not asking what part of your country you are in, but what country/region you are in.
Region encoding is the mechanism that enables motion picture studios to control the worldwide release of their movies. It is required by the DVD Forum (http://www.dvdforum.org/forum.shtml) in all commercial hardware DVD players. Every DVD-Video disc contains one byte of data representing a region code, which limits where the disc can be played.

Once you have set the region in DVD Player five times it cannot be changed.

IOS 8 beta - Air apps not starting on iOS8

Hi there, I had some old apps released using AIR sdk 3.4 back in Sep 2012, and because they were working fine, I never updated with newer AIR sdks.
Today I installed iOS 8 beta on my ipad mini and tried out my apps and all the Air apps are not starting at all, just blank black screen.
On the console this is the message:

I wonder, is it because my Air sdk used is older, 3.4, or are there any other issues about iOS 8 that I am not aware of?

Yes, there have been significant differences since we released AIR SDK 3.4, we recommend try building your app with latest AIR SDK (14.0.0.110) and see if that solves the problem.

Ios 6.1.3 apps not installing

Chose to update installed apps but my phone is not doing anything.
It says 'INSTALLING' but appears to be frozen.

It is likely that the aps yo download to iTunes one you computer are not compatible with iOS 6 since many now require iOS 7.
However
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

IOS 8.1 Music app not allowing search by artist

On my iPhone 4S, I usually search music by artist. Since the update to 8.1, my phone no longer responds to searching through the alphabet down the RHS for Artist. It does for the Category Songs , but not for Artists.
Have others experienced this? Is there a fix?

In this situation I would first recommend closing the Music application and then opening it fresh and testing again.

If the issue continues, I would then recommend restarting the iPhone and possibly resetting the device if the situation continues.

IOS 7.0.3 will not correctly "manually manage music and videos" any more?

So, on all my iOS devices, I have always used "Manually manage music and videos" to drag albums from my iTunes library to my iPhones.
I then use iTunes to delete the albums and replace them with others (I have a lot of music).
With the iOS 7.0.3 update -- if I delete songs on the phone in iTunes 11.1.2 -- they show (in iTunes) that they have been deleted.
However, the songs are still on the iPhone when I go back to the Music app.
Is anybody else seeing this? I filed this (as it wasn't an issue with 7.0, 7.0.1 or 7.0.2), but am wondering if I'm missing something terribly obvious all of a sudden...
My only options at this point are to manually delete songs on the phone individually or to delete *all* the songs from Settings -- neither of which is optimal.
I filed a bug on this, but wondered if anybody else ran across this and figured out how to fix it?

I went through and deleted a few random songs through iTunes on the "On This iPhone" tab ... they still showed on my iPhone but not in the Music part on iTunes. I then clicked sync at the bottom next to the memory bar on iTunes and it seemed to have removed the songs from my iPhone.
However, my iPhone is saying I have 1 more song than my iTunes is saying which I still don't understand but if I can still manually manage my music I guess it's a small price to pay for the minor confusion.
Really getting tired of becoming a detective just to work my phone appropriately. Apple should really stop making all these changes and stick to what the customers know and like. Frustrated and annoyed customers won't raise their sales...

An install request for a new helper app appeared, I entered my system password to download the app. Since then safari will not open. It just comes up with a safari quit unexpectedly report. I have tried logging on as a Guest but it does the same.

I have a MacBook Pro with OS X Yosemit. MY safari will not open, it only comes up with a safari quit unexpectedly report. A new helper app appeared requesting my system password to download the helper. Stupidly I input the password, when I log off I can see the download icon for a split second still running asking to abort or continue. How do I sort this?

Genieo Adware is installed. Removing it will help.
If you have another browser installed, use it.
If not, launch App store and get another browser for temporary use.
Remove it afterwards.

When starting webcenter domain, how not to enter userid and password?

I followed this link http://yonaweb.be/start_webcenter_domain in installing my webcenter domain and I was successful in setting my own webcenter and busy exploring the webcenter spaces.
My only concern is that when I am starting my webcenter domain it always ask for user id and password for the weblogic.
I created a small batchfile for this.
call C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\webcenter_domain\bin\startManagedWebLogic.cmd WC_Spaces http://localhost:7001but how can I get away from typing the user id and password?

Facetime on my ipad does not recognise my apple id password after i have upgraded to iOS 6.1

After upgrading my ipad to iOS 6.1, Facetime does not recognise my Apple ID password. The password works fine on the app store, I have even tried changing the password, but Facetime refuses to recognise the password, and therefore unable to activate. Has anyone else faced such an issue?

I am trying to create a new web app using Central Administration in Sharepoint 2010 and getting an error "The password supplied with the username was not correct. Verify that it was entered correctly and try again".
I tried running this command also "stsadm -o updatefarmcredentials -userlogin <domain\username> -password <newpassword>" but when it got executed it showed me "Access Denied".
What should i do ??

right click on command icon and click run as administrator then use above stsadm commend to update credential. If still you face same issue then try with powershell as mention in below link: (make sure that you open sharepoint powershell as run as administrator)

IOS Remote app does not control Internet Radio on Apple TV

I just bought a 3rd generation Apple TV and one of the things I want to use it for is playing Internet Radio stations (not the new Radio feature). It does this fine and I can listen to BBC radio stations, however, the iOS remote app can't control this for some reason. It works fine if I control iTunes on my Mac mini with the same app. This makes no sense. Am I missing something?

you know, as many movies as I rented this summer directly from the Apple TV, not once did i ever try to start one using the iPhone remote... guess it never crossed my mind to.
I wonder if it is even supposed to work that way though. Is there a rented movies category on the remote app when you are connected to the Apple TV?
I cannot remember, guess its been a while since I worked with it a great deal.

IOS Remote App and ATV2

I cannot get the iOS remote app to connect to my Apple TV2. It connects just fine to the iTunes libraries on my network, but from three different iOS devices I get the same error. The app sees the ATV2 and tries to connect, but fails. The odd thing is, it used to work flawlessly. I hadn't used the app for a month or so and now its not working. I've tried resetting the apple TV (both power cycle and full settings reset) as well as rebooting the router and the iOS devices. I reinstalled the remote app as well. The weird thing is, I can airplay mirror to the ATV2 fine, just the remote app fails. The error message I receive after sitting at the "Connecting to Apple TV" screen is as follows:
"Remote can't connect to your iTunes library. Check your network settings and try again.
I have no idea what changed in my set up, perhaps a software upgrade screwed something up but I'm at a loss I've tried everything. The ATV2 is running 4.4.4, the iOS devices are all up to date running latest remote app.
I Apple TV can access my iTunes libraries fine as well.

The issue is I can not connect my Remote app with iTunes or my Apple TV. - I have rebooted my AP Extreme as well as my AP TV and my PC. - I have logged out of Home Sharing and logged back in. - On my iPad or iPhone I add Library and receive a Passcode, I enter in the PC into iTunes and I receive an error message "The passcode you entered was incorrect. Please try again" I receive this error when entering all my idivices. - I have deleted the Remote App and reinstalled it, but continue to receive the same error message. - All soft ware on all divices are current. - I have diabled my firewall.
