IOS style application opening animation only works with safari?

When I upgraded to Lion I noticed the new animation that occurs when opening an application. One that mimics the way applications open in iOS, where the application zooms into opening? However, even though I have the feature turned ON in system preferences, it only occurs when opening Safari. Mail, iTunes, FaceTime, etc. all open by simply appearing on the screen, while Safari will open using the animation. It's not THAT big of a deal, but the feature IS supposed to work so I was wondering if anyone has had this problem/figured out a way to make it work completely?

Still works fine for me, have you restarted your Apple TV and wifi router?

Safari is not working and siri only works with the phone not internet related questions.

I have an Iphone 5 and for about 8 months it worked find, then somewhere along the line I think about the time I upgraded to the latest OS, Safari stopped working. That is when I hit a link from email or open safari I get the browser window but nothing works, like its been blocked. Siri of course only works with internal serches, through contacts and such. My other browsers (crome, oprea and mercury) work fine. I have been through all the internal settigns I can find, but nothing has worked. Have cleared history cookes with no suceess. Any ideas?

Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with Safari after upgrading to iOS 7.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the apps that are open, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Versions (OSX Lion) - Only works with Pages?

This may seem like a "duh?" question but here goes: Does the "versions" feature in Lion only work w/Pages or will it also/can it be configured to work with OpenOffice or MS Word? Also, do you have to have Time Machine enabled for Versions to work?

Versions only works with native Mac applications like Pages, Numbers, TextEdit and maybe a few others. Do not expectit to work with 3rd party editors like TextMate, Dreamweaver, Coda, etc, at least not now. My Word 2008 is not supported.

How do I get this beta IOS 7.0.2 JUNK TO WORK with my iPod touch 5?? I was prefectly happy with my iPod until I got the notice to upgrade itunes to 11.1 and would you like to upgrade your iPod from IOS 6 to IOS 7. And like an idiot I took the little green pill and pushed the button. Now I can't open iTunes, some apps; like the Lindsey Sterling app, Safari and Disney don't work either (not that I care about the Disney one, but, it's part of the base setup, you'd think "IT" would work!) almost anything with video links will not open, iCloud can't find me. All I get is that annoying white screen. I'M NOT HAPPY! I could have bought a Windows machine for a lot less money and have the same problems!?! (I'll bet Mr. Jobs is spinning like a top right now!) And I have goggled-- found a few fixes: re-install, restore, etc. found one that stated to get iTunes back to go into the iPods setting by double ckicking the home button go to iTunes app and sign out, then sign in again-- those options didn't work. If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

What version of word do you have? The TS3938 sounds like it's a PowerPC app- written for an old architecture that is no longer supported in Lion. If this is the case, your files are fine- you just need a newer version of word that will run in Lion in order to open them. The newest version (2011) should be readily available anywhere, and has worked fine for me ever since I switched to Lion on release day....

Using a plugin that only works with CS3 (how to downgrade CS4 to CS3)

I work for a company that sells HP Indigo Presses
HP have produced a plugin called Smartstream Designer which is used to create varible data jobs for the press
Unfortunately at the moment, this plugin only works with Indesign CS3
I have a number of customers who have recently purchased new Apple macintosh computers and the latest version of Indesign (ie CS4)
(1) Is there any way for them to downgrade their copy of Indesign so they can use this plugin
At some time in the future the plugin will be updated to work with CS4 and when that happens they will need to upgrade
(2) will there be any problem performing this upgrade at a later date?

The only way to downgrade would be to find a CS3 license on the open market, an iffy proposition as authorized resellers no longer have older versions available. The CS4 license would still be fine in the future.

I really appreciate all your help. Today I spent some time on the problem. First I purchased any video converter from the ap store and then I connected the camera to the mac with the original usb cable that came with the camera. I turned on the camera and selected backup on pc and the logo came up on my home page. I opened it and after several attempts i found the 3 video files that were on the camera. I then converted them from a tod file to mp4 and then transfered them to imovie. Now I have to figure out how to send the video to youtube or move it to an external hard drive which I have not been able to do. So far I am not too fond of imovie 11. If you could send me the download for imovie 6 I then could try that route. When talking to apple support yesterday about the problem they suggested to get Final Cut Express. can you please confirm whether or not ws adapter (PI 7.1) only works with asynchronous web service?
I have created an async. outbound service interface in PI 7.1, generated the client proxy in ECC, created an web service based on the proxy, wrote a test program to call the web service (PI scenario uses ws adapter in the sender CC). Everything works fine.
Then I did the same thing with sync. outbound service interface. I got exception while calling the web service in ECC.
I've heard that ws adapter is designed for async. communication. Does it mean that it won't work with sync. web service?
I haven't seen any official SAP document saying taht ws adapter only works for async. web service. If you have any, can you please share it?

Thank you all for your information.
The error I got when calling the proxy with logical port (web service) is:
SOAP:1,007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 404 : Not Found")
I will debug it to see what exactly happens. And will keep you guys updated.
Just debugged, the error is because the http header's content type is text/html while it should be test/xml. However this type is set by the ws runtime, not by the application. Anybody has an idea about this?

Had the same problem, no audio on incoming or outgoing calls and only could hear the conversation of the call if I put on speaker. It seemed to start after I did a recent IOS update this past month. I tried restart, reset and restore of my iPhone but nothing changed. It appears not to be a software issue but a hardware problem. It sounds like your Wi-Fi network is working if your desktop works with it, we just need to get the Wi-Fi on your iPhone and iPad connected to it. I found a couple of resources to help with not being able to connect to Wi-Fi on an iOS device.
I recommend following the steps in this tutorial first (the steps should work on the iPhone and iPad):
