IOS update an now cannot activate my facetime or my imessage and I am not getting notifications fo anything?? HELP??

Hi all,
Just wondered if anybody can help me with couple of issues I have with my Iphone 5 after updating to iOS7.
1. My Facetime and iMessages will not activate with my apple Id it keeps showing and flases up the error 'Could not sgn in. Please check your Network connection and try again' yet my Connection is fine.
2. I have not been getting my push notifications everytime I open an app it tells me I need to connect to itunes to sort push notifications out but after uninstalling itunes on my laptop and reinstalling it wont let me sync my phone to it.
Would be very greatful for any help offered as im tempted to throw my phone at the wall lol

Any radical solution that you have will be appreciated as it is becoming frustrating .

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore and you have IOS-6 or lower, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

I tried to update the ios today, and it decided to update it to 6.1.3 instead of 7, I didn't think there would be a problem, so I clicked ok. When I came to check on my phone, itunes said there was an error with the update, and my phone was in recovery mode (plug-in sign on the screen). I looked up multiple things to try, I tried putting it in DFU mode, still itunes doesn't see it. The computer also doesn't list it under devices, however when it is plugged in the Apple Mobile Support USB Driver shows up in device manager. I have tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling, still nothing. I just want to know if there is anything else I can try. Thanks.

No, it is my phone that I've had since 2009. I just hate updating it because every time I do something goes wrong. So I put it off as long as possible. I am getting a new iphone, but I read that to have your backup transfer to the new phone, it must be a backup from the current ios.

Please do the following.
Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html Download Firefox v3.6.17] and download it to the desktop.
Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to '''Mozilla Firefox '''and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box'').
Then reboot and delete the folder called '''Mozilla Firefox '''at this location: ''C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox''
Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.
This is what's known as a 'clean install'. It will overwrite the corrupt files which are preventing Firefox from starting.

I use AOL mail and saw a banner for a supported firefox download and I made the mistake of downloading the update. Since I have none of my saved passwords and I do not get a prompt when I enter a site for the choice to save the password. I am looking to change to Google Chrome if this cannot get corrected.

I encountered precisely this problem after the first upgrade to iOS 8, also on a 5s: empty Recents lists, failure to log any calls and a badge showing a -1 (minus 1). It appears to be a problem with corruption of the iPhone backup file, whether backed up to the computer or to iCloud (I tried both). Whether it was introduced by the iOS 8 upgrade process is open to speculation as I'd had no problems with restoring from backup with a couple of prior iOS 7 updates.
Restoring the iPhone to Factory settings solves the problem, but then restoring from a backup re-introduces it. Setting the device up as a new phone is the only way to fix it. Problem is, you lose your contacts and SMS history, unless you've used a third-party app to back them up outside iTunes. If that's no problem, simply do a Factory Restore then set up the phone as new and the problem is gone.
If it is a problem (it was for me), I found two apps that enable you to back up & subsequently restore Contacts & Messages. Syncios is free and worked like a charm for getting my Contacts backed up & restored to the phone. However, it can only back up & restore Messages if the device is jailbroken.
This phone was not JB'd so I had to find another app for Messages: Backuptrans iPhone SMS Backup and Restore. It is $19 for up to 3 devices but was worth it in my case; creates a backup file on your computer that you can restore from after the Factory Restore. Very simple & straightforward.
The photos, apps & music, etc., were easily restored to the phone via iTunes sync.
Hope this is of help to others similarly affected. Must be relatively rare, though, as even the Senior Apple Advisors I worked with had not encountered it before. I made them aware of this thread, FWIW.

FaceTime is banned by the KSA government. Any iPhone sold in KSA will have FaceTime removed. You can not ever get it on that phone no matter if you take it out of KSA.

Our phone support is open every day Monday through Sunday, although there are different hours of operation for the weekend. If after a webOS Doctor reset you are still experiencing the same problems, I would likely recommend replacement, either in a local store for your carrier or through our technical support department.
There may be additional technical support offered or suggested over the phone, this would need to be done first before a replacement could be issued.

Installed latest update today, now cannot access F/B app

Hi, installed the latest update today, now cannot access F/B via the App!! Okay online but the App looks like it is loading...blue page etc, then immediately reverts to home screen. Have checked settings and F/B is enabled

try closing it by douple tapping the home button to reveal multi-tasking screen. swipe from right to left till you see the fb app. then swipe the app up and off the screen to close.
Tap home button again to return to home screen. Now, open fb app
