IOS Update did not solve syncing issue

I'm still having problems with my playlists and art cover on my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4. On my iPad I can't see most of the artwork, but all playlists sync just fine. On my iPhone, artwork syncs just fine, but I can't find iTunes playlists (Top 25, Recently added, etc.). I'm running itunes 10.6.3 on my Mac, iOS 5.1.1 on iPad and iPhone.

In my case I managed to fix it by means of this article:

I thought I would voice my opinion as well.
I have an iPhone 3G and whilst I would like to say that it is excellent and that I enjoy using it the reality is that in its current state (2.02 software) it is unusable. I really had to hold my tongue there - I feel really mad at present and feel that apple should try to release software that has been through at least one decent test cycle.
I am on my second phone - the first being returned at the suggestion of apple care who suggested it may be a hardware fault - there was no fault with the hardware - again software issues but I exchanged it to cover both bases.
I have never found that the backup to work and simply do a full restore - which at present I perform on a daily basis as the phone locks at the apple screen on a daily basis and it then takes over 5 hours to restore - it is unusable.
I suspect the underlying issue in my case relates to the volume of applications that I load onto the device - but hey it should be fit for purpose!
What I am looking for here is honest recongnition and report of the issues and problems with the device from apple - and releases that give a clearer indication of their intended purpose i.e. a little more detail than "Bug Fix". Is that too much to ask?

Overheating and Draining: The iPhone iOS 6.1.1 did NOT solve the issues of 6.1

Apple released the iOS 6.1.1 yesterday in an attempt to patch the faulty script that is causing iPhone 4S users' batteries to overheat and drain at 3X-4X the normal rate.
I have a Verizon iPhone 4S and the iOS 6.1.1 patch did NOT work. Today, I watched my battery life go from 100% (cycle charge with top off) to 10% in 6 hours. Like many of you, I use all the tips and tricks such as:
Fetch mail instead of push
No location based iAds
Siri not activated upon handset pickup
Minimal notification center alerts (only a few that I need)
Low brightness with auto setting
I hope Apple can fix this as soon as possible- this is causing irreparable damage to my battery in the interim until the software is coded correctly.

Does this involve Gmail Exchange accounts? Or just Microsoft Exchange accounts?
I use the exchange version for my gmail account on my iPhone 4S so I was just curious. I have actually gotten better battery life since updating to iOS 6.1 and haven't notice a difference since updating to iOS 6.1.1, but that was last night so it may be to early to tell. I did leave my phone unplugged last night and it had only drained from 100% to 90% after 7 hours sitting on my nightstand turned on but locked.
I think there is a correlation between updating Over The Air rather than through iTunes and the battery life issue. Most of the battery issue stories I have read were from people that updated OTA. I have always done my updates through iTunes and have only once had a problem with my battery, but a full cycle drain and recharge fixed it.

Still Image Interlacing (Search did not solve my issue)

As I stated in the topic title, the search items for (still image interlacing) did not help with my problem. I'm trying to animate a bunch of stills for a slide show. The one thing I read over and over was that the pictures should be bigger than the viewer size in FCE.
I'm set for NTSC DV so 720 x 480, and the pictures are in the thousand pixel range (something like 2000 x 3000, high quality photos). I still get the interlacing. I read Tom Wolsky's FCP book entry however it did not help with the interlacing issue. If I do a batch edit in photoshop and change all the pictures to 720 x 480, would this solve the issue? I'm sure many of you have had this problem before, as I have, please let me know what you did.
what confuses me most is that it only happens with some pictures. I duplicated the animation and all the pictures are from the same camera, same SD chip and same size so I'm truly baffled by this. Please help me out, thanks.

It's true that stills should be bigger than the video format,
if you are moving them around and resizing them.
That won't affect the interlacing, but at least you won't
see the pixels from the still.
While doing motion and resizing, however, it's usually best to work
in a progressive format. In fact, it would be best if you
could stay progressive to the end. What format will
your final master be?
If your final deliverable is supposed to be interlaced,
you will usually see interlacing artifacts on a computer. But that's
not necessarily bad. When played on a regular analog TV,
the interlacing will function correctly and you won't notice it.
Are you really producing something for NTSC analog TV?

Where are you looking for Siri voice selection? It should be in Settings/General/Siri. You must also choose a language that has a choice of voices. US English and Canadian English do, UK and Australian do not.
What do you see in Settings/Wallpapers & Brightness? You need to tap one of the 2 images to see the selections available.
As I said, it is impossible that the installation is incomplete; you just aren't finding the new features. If you want to reinstall anyway, upgrade iTunes on your computer to 11.1, then connect the phone using a USB cable directly to the computer (not a hub), click on the iPhone's name in iTunes, then click the Restore iPhone button.

HT201320 This last week, I updated my iPhone with iOS6 and now my Yahoo Mail no longer works. I've deleted and restored the account without fixing the problem. The iOS update did not effect my iPad. Anyone have a suggestion?

This last week (of 17 Sep 12) I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 and now my Yahoo mail does not work. I keep getting a "Yahoo server busy" message. This problem has not effected the update to my iPad 3 - it works fine. In addition, I have deleted and added my Yahoo mail - same result. Same here, albeit with a 3G and both a work Exchange account and personal Gmail are out of action. Reentered my password on the Gmail to no avail.
Unfortunately it seems that increased success has come too fast to Apple, it's starting to display Microsoft-like behaviors, e.g., releasing stuff and letting the customers serve as the beta / guinea pigs.

Okay, so the new Apple update did not fix the issue that I have!

I still have to disconnect the network cable or wireless before I can connect my laptop to my iPhone. I was hoping the fix would address, but alas NO! Anyone know of a way to fix the issue that iTunes looks as the iPhone being connected as busy port already in use by the internet connection?

Okay, I'm desperate now. I've tried re-installing, reloading the driver, uninstalling almost all of my apps from my pc and laptop, followed every Apple technical help publication, and every work around published in these forums. I'm not alone and I am frankly tired of it. If an Apple rep suggested unplugging the Internet as the work around, then why can't they tell me how to fix it or what is causing the conflict in the app to think that my iPhone is a busy port. Why does iTunes see my iPhone and my Internet as competing things where the iPhone is not looked at when the Internet is connected. It seems that some developer should be able to figure this out. I'll ask again and try yet again, does anyone have a new work around to fix this? Has anyone figured out why iTunes sees my iPhone as unavailable because the Internet has taken the location where iTunes thinks it should be?

Downloading new firmware version still did not solve connection issue!

I was told my support on live chat to try downloading the newest version of the firmware for my wireless router WRT54G. I had 3.something from 2004.
I now have 4.21.1 and I STILL cannot see my router in my View Available Wireless Networks list. I see my neighbors' connections, but I want mine.
Has anyone found a solution to this yet...Downloading the latest firmware seems useless.

did you reset the router after the firmware upgrade ?? if not , reset the router for 30 seconds..do a power cycle and then reconfigure it ..

Didn't fix my problem either. Purchased apps still crash ipad or I get the error message 'can not connect to itunes'.
Nothing works, no suggestions on this board work and 6.1 didn't work.

I have been having the text tone issue as many others have. That problem being that when a text is recieved the phone will only vibrate. The 2.1 update did not fix the issue...imagine that.

Hi. You're the first person who has posted about the phone only vibrating when getting text messages. Can you tell me more of the problems you are experiencing when receiving texts? I ask because I exchanged my phone twice already because after a certain number of texts, the audio alert for text messages stops and only vibrates. I thought it was the phone so Apple exchanged it but I'm still experiencing the same problem with this third phone.

10.5.3 did NOT solve the Bluetooth smartphone incompatibility

I'm sad to report that the 10.5.3 update did not solve the problem of getting certain smartphones, such as the Nokia N73, to pair up with a Mac and be able to sync the Addressbook and iCal. For that phone (and probably others), this is quite awkward, since it is the only way to sync data from those two applications; you can't do it via the phone's USB cable.
10.5.4, maybe? Or is this some dark plot to get everyone to purchase an iPhone?

Could you elaborate on the specific settings and actions for this? I've never been able to do this successfully via de USB cable and I was under the impression of having read somewhere that iSync did not support this mode for the N73.
You are right, it seems to be directly related to the latest firmware from Nokia. According to what I've seen, the problem lies in getting the two devices to pair, which never concludes correctly, so I will try one last and desperate measure: pair it up with my old PBG4 that has the latest flavor of Tiger, then migrate everything with Migration Assistant to a testbench Leopard system I have on an external FW drive. If the pairing gets migrated over and continues to work, I'll only have to figure out which specific files contain the pairing info.

Hey everyone-
Im in the same boat, started a thread . My hands free system worked fine with iOS 8 out of the box new iphone 6. Did the update this morning and i can stream music perfectly fine however i cannot make or receive calls through hands free system.
I have not tried resetting the settings like most people indicate is working. I feel like I shouldn't have to reset anything, even less mess with settings with an update coming from apple. it should "Just Work"
Some people who reset said it works for a few hours, other say it don't work, and I don't know what I should do.

Thank you, James, but I do have a WiFi connection on the iPad mini. The Numbers files update on my iPad third generation and iPhone just fine when connected to the same network.
Do you have any other suggestions?
