IOS update required when logging in.

I created a new account but when i try to login on my iphone it says i need to update my ios
how to fix this?
my iphone is 3gs 5.1.1

Okay, you might be right. Usually I'm alright with computers, but I seriously don't get the guide.
Do I first turn on FileVault, then turn it off, then enable users and then lock?
Theres one user for the computer, and it's admin account. Then also the guest user, but thats another thing.
I'm sorry be being stupid, but I just don't get it at all..

  • HT4539 How do ypu perform the "IOS update" required to get ringtones on my cell?

How do I perform the "IOS update" required to get ringtones on my cell?  I can't figure it out through the ITunes store....

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If an update is available for your device, connect it to iTunes and use the update feature.
However, you do not need to update your device in order to use ringtones. Simply select the ringtones you wish to sync to your device from the Tones tab in iTunes on your computer when your device is connected to it, and perform a sync.

  • Hi, I couldn't download apps on my iPad 1. It say iOS update required for this action whereby my software is the latest 5.1.1

I couldn't download apps using my iPad 1. It says that iOS update required for this action.

Some developers allow you to download older compatible versions of their apps. If it's a free app then try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history, then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it. If it's a paid-for app then contact the developer first and ask them if the above will work, don't buy it and then find it won't

  • I have a first generation ipad that I gave to my father.  He wants to download a few things and it says that he can't because he needs the new ios update.  When I try to download it it says that I can't.  Is the older version IPADS unable to update?

I have a first generation IPad and it won't let me download unless I update to the new ios system.  When I go to do that it won't let me do that either. What advise can you offer?  Thanks

Maybe a little more info would be helpful. How are you trying to update the iPad? What model iPad it is and what version of the iOS is on it now?

  • Problem with OS X Yosemite - 'Update required' when opening

    Hi everyone,
I updated my 2012 Macbook Pro with OS X Yosemite and it seems the installation didn't fully complete. When I restart my computer I always fall on this grey screen, and instead of my name and picture there is a '?' with 'Mise à jour nécessaire' (Update required) where my name should be.
When I enter my password it's like if my Mac ended the download, and it finally opens normally. But this happens every time, like if there was a problem with this step and it wasn't correctly installed.
What can I do to fix my problem so my Mac opens normally without 'ending' the installation all the time?

You may start in Recovery mode and see if you can check &/or repair
the computer hard disk drive; or perhaps re-install the failed OS X?
    •OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
There also is a method to access OS X Utilities in Recovery to see if
the hard disk drive and other items are OK. Be careful since these can
also totally erase all content from a hard disk drive if Disk Utility is used
    incorrectly at that point.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Why are Office 2007 updates required when I don't have Office 2007?

I am guessing that you can answer questions here. I just want to know why Microsoft Vista insists that I need updates for Office 2007 when I only have Office 2003. i deny the updates, but then Microsoft insists and continue to send them to me until
I did finally update it. It is probably wasting my HD space.

    Hi SallyM,
Please clarify what update you are required to install and check if you have Office 2007 related products on your OS.
However, for this end-user question please consult on other forums, for example:
    Windows Update forum:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_update?tab=Threads
    Or Office Update forum:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_install?tab=Threads
Also you can search for your update number and view the update related article to see the apply to list, it may has listed the product which needs the latest office 2007 update.

  • Script error "object required" when log off

I have created a new user and assigned the "Everyone" role to it. I log in to the portal using this new user. Then I press logoff. Then I press OK. Now I get the script error below:
    line:91
    char:8
    Error: Object required
    code:0
    URL: http://.....
any idea why I get this error?
note: I don't get a logoff error when I use the administrator or other user IDs.

    Hi,
you are using a customized masthead. InSP14 SAP changed some Javascript and therefor, the "object" your are colling in your logoff() function is missing. You'll have to comment out this JS call in your masthead. Check the IE error message explanation, it will show you the line where the error occurs.
I've already posted the solution in this forum, but unfortunately, I'm not able to find my previous post

  • IOS update requiring 1/3 of my storage space for only 1.1GB download

I am a little disappointed with the new ISO update. It's a 1.1 GB update. But before it can download it for me, it says I need 5.8 GB (and 6.0 GB for another of my iPhones). That's 1/3 of my space!!! Other than deleting things from my phone.... how can I get this download? I'm a little disappointed that apple wouldn't have the approx 6 GB of space extra for things like this.

If you download the update straight on the device, it needs to store it in decompressed form. Downloading it from iTunes on a computer won't require nearly as much free space on the device.

  • I plugged my iPhone 4s into my macbook air and it asked me if I wanted to update to the latest iOS update and when I did, it stayed on the black update page for a few hours now and it is not turning on. How do I get my phone to restore?

After plugging my phone into my computer, it asked me to update and then got stuck on the update page and the bar hasn't moved at all.
Then I plugged it into my computer after it died just like it told me to and it asked me if i wanted to restore my phone. i pressed 'okay' and it is stuck on the black page again for a few hours without the bar moving at all and my phone is completely useless.
How can I get my phone to update and restore?

If you're in recovery mode, all data is ALREADY lost.  You've no choice but to restore.

  • My mac keeps saying "Update required" at boot time

    Hi,
This is really beginning to drive me nuts. Every time I boot my Mac (ok, its not every day I do that, but still) it prompts with two options:
    1) Update Required
    2) Log on as Guest.
When I click option 1 and enter my password, the system boots and I get the normal grey login screen and can log on using my password.
    No updates are available.
I then shut down the mac, and everything repeats itself. I cannot get rid of this "Update required" thing and its a bit annoying that I need to logon twice every time.
    Any ideas anyone?
    Thanks a million in advance.

  • HT4623 iPhone is asking me to restore after ios update, did I loose everything?, what do I do??

I updated itunes today (after I did a backup of my daughter's iphone), when we went to do the ios update on the phone, all looked ok and install began. Now it is asking to restore to factory, and nothing is showing up on phone at all.  What can I do?.....Did we loose everything?  Itunes looks normal. and library is there.

a large iOS update requires you to restore from your backup. If you did the update through iTunes, it should've automatically created a backup, so just plug it in and restore

  • HT4528 I have an Iphone 5s and I have a notice to do a software update.  When I click to update it says "Unable to Update, an error occured while checking for a software update".  This has been going on for 3 wks.  I have shut my phone off, and turned it

I have an Iphone 5s and it says i have a Software update.  However, it will not update. I have rebooted my phone and it hasn't helped.  Any suggestions?

    Hello bdollbarnes,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to update your iPhone.  I recommend the following steps:
Download takes a long time, or you can't reach update server
iOS updates require a persistent Internet connection, and the time it takes to download the update will vary according to the size of the update and your Internet speed. You can use your device normally while downloading the iOS update, and iOS will notify you when you can install the update. To improve the speed of the download, avoid downloading other content.
If you get a message that "an error occurred downloading iOS," try again later. If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.

  • IOS update/upgrade behavior with supervised iOS devices

    Hello,
We want to be able to supervise corporate-issued iOS devices via Apple Configurator but reduce/eliminate the need to re-tether the device using an MDM product (MobileIron)
We have the day-to-day OTA configuration,  policy enforcement, and app deployment processes addressed but we are not sure what happens when an iOS update becomes available for a supervised device.
Does an iOS update require a supervised device be re-tethered to the supervising Mac in order for the update to proceed?  We've been unable to test since supervision via AC automatically updates the OS to the latest version and we don't have any devices that were placed under supervision prior to 8.1.2.
    Thanks.

When my corporate IT person updated all our Point-of-Sale iPads to MobileIron, he mentioned that he'd been told he would no longer have to go out into the field overtime there was an update. Sorry that's awfully vague. I don't support corporate devices myself. Have you contacted the developer?

  • HT4623 An IOS update was started and now the screen is frozen with a zipper starting from the bottom an arrow above that and the iTunes symbol above that

I am using an IPad 4 and I was notified of an IOS update. When the update started the screen froze displaying a zipper from the bottom with an arrow above that and an itunes icon above that. IPad will not do anything.

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to 6 closely to recover your iPad.
