IOS updated & now missing...

so, this has been happening to my iPhones and iPad as well but after the firmware update, some songs & playlists goes missing on my devices. i've always sync & back up before hand but where does it go? i can get the songs by restore? what's the best way to get it back? i buy songs from itune japan & usa, amazon, ripped & recordings of local artists so i can't really just pop it on icloud or itunes match since i'll lose those not on itunes right? i hope someone or people can help this helpless out! thanks ^_^

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Camera being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Bug in Weather for iOS 8 now missing animations.

Hi everyone,
Ever since upgrade to iOS 8.1 from 7.1.2 I've noticed that the weather app no longer shows background animations for cities outside of the USA. I have a feelings this has something to do with Apple switching from Yahoo as the weather information supplier to The Weather Channel. Comparing an iPhone running 7.1.2(Yahoo) vs 8.1(TWC), on 7.1.2 international cities such as London and Toronto, have current weather status, written under the current temperature which seems to associate the appropriate background animation (fog, rain, lighting, snow... etc); while 8.1 no such status can be found, thus leaving the background's blank without animations. This is a real letdown, as the weather app for many international user has become, well, boring. Anyone else notice this problem (bug)?
Apple, please look into why The Weather Channel isn't providing current "status" reports on international cities, as this animated feature was a great inclusion in iOS 7 and is now missing in iOS 8.

After iOS 8.1.1 released, this bug still occurs on my iPhone 6. But I found a solution: Remove every cities in weather app, and then restart weather app, add your cities back. Now, the background animations come back to your weather app.

Today i did the latest IOS update on my Iphone, and now i cant turn it on and itunes no longer recognises my phone. I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled. But not still no luck, has any one else had any problems???

Yeah, i uninstalled itunes then reinstalled it again, just to make sure that i had the latest.
No something odd has happened over night, the battery went flat last night, so i put it on the charger for 12 hours. Then when i took it off this morning for 30 minutes the battery went flat again..

I bought an iPhone (5s) unlocked in the US about a year ago (i live in colombia) and since iOS 8 update i have "No service" on my phone. Apple support told me that the update deleted something on my phone and right now is locked by verizon...

I left my attitude, my good one, long behind with apple. I'm still ****** at them for not including my iBook PDF's Ina a backup (what the ****?) and losing them all in a restore. For the price premium, I expect more. Unfortunately, I'm locked into using Apple.
I wasn't looking for help, just venting and offering what had worked for me for the other unfortunate souls who might find themselves in the same predicament.

I had an update for iOS and did It 4 hours ago, my phone has froze with the screen displaying iTunes and a USB. Have gone through apples trouble shooting but still the same. How do I sort this out?? Thanks

Try Recovery Mode
Put it in DFU mode:
Open iTunes on computer.
Connect iPhone to computer. (with the iPhone on)
Hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release power button, keep holding home button until iPhone recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode.
Usually takes 10-20 seconds of holding the home button.
If the iPhone screen is black (blank) the iPhone is in DFU Mode.
If not try again.

NB: using that article will erase everything so make sure you have a backup
try restoring on another computer if this fails, and if that doesn't work either, the device needs hardware repair.

Sccm 2007 wsus spk2 updated now missing FCS in products

I have a TESTLAB with SCCM 2007 that has been running fine and deploying Forefront Client Security. In SCCM under SUP I can see FCS in the products. I installed the kb2720211 WSUS SPK 2 update and things are doing fine. So I do the same thing
in production and upgrade to WSUS 3.0 SPK2. Then I saw where I need to install KB2734608 to be able to work with Windows 8 and 2012 SERVER from SCCM 2007. I only installed it in production not in TESTLAB, I guess I broke my rule there. a week or two
go by and I notice that the FCS definitions stopped gong to windows 7 clients. Only have one Windows 8.1 in testing right now. not deployed in Production yet.
Now I go trouble shooting and on the TESTLAB I can go to SUP and configure my Classification and PRODUCTS, I can still see FCS in the software update point component listed in products. I can also open WSUS in TESTLAB from Admin tools but I know not
to manage products from here. On Production I do not see FCS anymore, it shows Microsoft Client Protection and Forefront Endpoint Protection 2012 in the SUP Products. My question is do I continue to move forward with upgrading TESTLAB and production to
use Forefront Endpoint Protection which I have not read how to upgrade yet? Or can I just uninstall the KB 2734608 and fix FCS for now?

Again the ONLY support report is to use the CM07 restore procedures. Will everything work after your restore? Who know as there is no way to know what the problem was/is. There
will be gotcha when you restore your CM07 site and they sometime will fix themselves and other times it is just faster to force them to work. As such, I ALWAYS recommend to my clients that if they ever have to restore their CM environment that they contact
CSS directly for support. This way CSS can ensure that the site is healthy and working correctly. There is No way to do that within the forums in any meaningful way.

It sounds like some contacts have been lost. I know losing data can be stressful, and it's good that you had a backup in iTunes.
If you receive a message that there is not enough free space to restore the backup, I recommend going through the steps in this article:
If you can't back up or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using iTunes - Apple Support
Start with "Copy your backup" and go through the steps including "Free up space."
Note that with this method, any content or data added to your iPhone since making the backup will be removed from the device.

I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 7 now my phone constantly deletes all my contacts and takes days to download them from my iCloud again, constantly needs to be turned off and on sometimes several times to make a phone call, the scroll rarely works, is there anything I can do, the apple tech told me it was something I'd just have to get used to, my phone worked perfectly before the update.

Even if it is a hardware problem they should fix it regardless of warranty. If you buy a car and after 1.5 years the doors fall off due to a failure in their design and construction, do you think the car manufacturer could pull off what Apple is trying to do? Yes the car still delivers its primary objective of driving from A to B, but significant functionality has been lost due to their fault.
It is the same with this iPhone wifi problem. Apple are a disgrace, I have had significant Apple Hardware failures with my MacBook Pro and iPhone within 2 years of purchase. Pathetic quality.

I just completed the iOS update on my husband's phone & all of his purchased apps are missing. They are not in his phone, nor are they in iTunes despite a previous back up. Where are they & how do I restore them?

As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . If you download them to your computer's iTunes you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that restores them and their settings/content - a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings, so for the restore to work fully iTunes needs access to the apps so that it can restore them.
