Ios wifi greyed out - tried reset network settings - http auto - NOT WORKING
I tried setting WIFI HTTP to AUTO and it worked for awhile but now is totally greyed out. I cannot use my Iphone 4S but will return to store later today as they almost always are very nice and will know the best practice solution. Iphone 4S is 32GB and a little over a month old.

Try powering off and then backon the router.
Does the router work for other wifi device?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Have you checked with your carrier to make sure that your account is properly set up? Do you have MMS turned on in settings? Settings>Messages>MMS Messaging>On. Do you have an active data connection?

Safari working fine, as are game apps that require internet connection.
I can not get AppStore, YouTube app, Facebook app or twitter app to load anything as 'network service error" comes up.
I have the latest update 7.2 and have tried resetting network settings, anyone else have this problem?! How do I fix it?I did try that one. But for some reason it still does not help. The strange thing stays that I can acces Twitter and other Apps. But still nos Safari/App Store. Only when I am on Wi-Fi.

Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power to it for 30 seconds.

my iphone will not connect to my wifi only just started to do this the last 2 days sometimes the wifi turns on other time no often then not it will not turn on could u help ?
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the problem is still not resolved, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.
Verizon does not provide hardware support, taking the device to them would be a waste of time. -

No sound at all for incoming calls, txts, games. I have checked the side mute switch. Volume is all way up. All notifications are on. I can hear tones when I go to change them. I can hear my music. I can hear talking on videos I have taken. I have tried everything I know to do(reset,restore,reset network settings,reset content and other settings and mute button is not ON)Please help!

Hi, My Iphone 4 will not connect to my virgin superhub (netgear). Ive reset network settings with no joy, Reset all the phones settings also no joy. Ive rebooted the hub and none of it works. ThanksI had this same problem with my new MBP 15", but only with the USB port on the left side. The USB port on the right side worked fine. Perhaps the ports on the left don't have enough signal energy for the iPhone.
Anyway, try using a different USB port, and if that doesn't work, perhaps you could try a powered USB hub. -

It that doesn't help, folk wisdom says to put it in a plastic bag (to prevent condensation), then put in a freezer for 15 minutes. When it comes out it may be fixed. -
how can i relsolve my wifi issue with ios6 with my ipad. its been three days without internet. my ipad is having trouble detecting a wifi signal it finds my home network and then disaapears within seconds
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
