IOS4 - Multiday Exchange Calendar Events Problem

After my update to iOS4, every multiday event in my calendar now begins at 12:00 a.m. and lasts until 12:00 a.m. of the day after the event is over. I can force the events to be all day events on the iPhone, but if the event is ever changed in Outlook, the iPhone forgets that it is an all day event and its 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. all over again. Calendar is now one giant mess.
Anyone else (Apple?) seen this problem before?

I updated to 4.0.1 and still having an issue, though a little different than yours. When I go to accept or deny an invite it simply hangs and will not leave that invite page.
Obviously, what that means is that I can never actually get to the calendar itself because every time I click on the calendar icon, it only takes me to the hung invitation page.
This is a huge pain, as I am the first in my company to get the new iphone. The old iPhone calendars work fine with exchange.
If Apple understood that email and calendar is the single most important reason for businesses to adopt the iPhone and not having a working calendar will cost them millions. Everyone at the company (of 300+) know about the issues we are having with the iOS4 calendar and actually keeping co-workers from switching over or buying a new iPhone.
C'mon Apple...this is a VERY important issue to get fixed.

  • Exchange Calendar Events Disappearing from iPhone after Editing

    iPhone 6 running iOS8.
Exchange calendar events are disappearing from iPhone right after I edit them from my phone. But they are still visible on my MacBook in Outlook.
It used to happen very rarely but lately it has been happening very frequently. Haven't been able to find a pattern and re-create it.
Tried searching online for this issue. Found quite a few threads about calendar sync issues, including the GMT bug but haven't been able to find this exact issue that I have been facing.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I have the same problem and it has nothing to do with filing or moving emails,  for instance just before I logged in here to find a solution for the problem, I had just received and email on my iPad.  I was reading it then clicked on a link.  When I finished reading the link In Safari  and went back to the email, it was gone.   I have replied to an email then come back to it and it was gone.  This had nothing to do with viewing the email on a ore device.  This is a real problem I have asked about before and no one seems to know the answer.

ipad - how to push Exchange calendar events to iCloud account? MobileIron is used to get Exchange data -- is there an app to push the ipad version of the events to iCloud?
There are two separate calendars on ipad (ios 7.1) one for icloud, one fo exchange. I have tried a couple of calendar apps and while they do a good job of showing the events in the app - they don't push (synch) back to iCloud. Any thoughts on an app that will take my ipad calendars and synch them to a single icloud calendar/account?
    Thanks

    Hi
You asked about a recommendation for an app to paste a group of addresses into the To, Cc or Bcc fields of an email?
Our "MailShot Pro" app is the only one we know of on the App Store that creates special "group contacts" in your address book which contain all your groups email addresses, but can be used just like regular contacts from most of your favourite apps. We now have nearly 50000 people using it, and growing steadily every day.
Here is a link if you would like to know more “MailShot Pro” (itunes link).
A free version is also available if you'd like to try it out with a small nmber of contacts.
If you need any customer support just contact us at the website, we're always happy to help.

  • Exchange Calendar Events

    Hi,
I've noticed an interesting thing using my PB with Exchange. When a calendar event comes through, it shows up as a regular email message informing me of when the event is, unless there is another attachment. If there is another attachment, then the Exchange calendar event comes through as an ICS file which shoots right over to iCal, adding the event and giving me the opportunity to respond (tentative, accept, reject).
I'm wondering why it doesn't always come through as an ICS file, and if anyone might have an idea of how to help Mail recognize it as such even when there isn't another attachment.
    Thanks!

    To answer my own question...
I just discovered that I can get Mail to recognize the Exchange event but simply changing the "View Alternative". It defaults to showing the text, but simply asking for the "View/Next Alternative" shows the meeting.ics link that I can click to send it to iCal.
It would be nice if this process was a little more integrated, but, hey, it works!

  • Microsoft exchange removed from Ipad (Calendar events problem)

I have taken off Microsoft exchange account from Ipad.
now all the emails & contacts with taken off auto as well beside calendar events.
How can i removed all my calendar events as well?
    Thanks,

If I may reply to my own question, I have found the solution.
In Settings "Mail, Conacts, Calendars", if you scroll down the the bottom, there are some Calendar settings, one of which is "Sync".
This sync setting allows one to restrict the syncing of previous events from 2 weeks ago through 6 months ago to All Events.
Changing this setting to "All Events" made no immediate difference to my iPad calendar but after I deleted my Exchange account and then recreating it, all my events back to 2001 reappeared in my iPad calendar.
I guess that this sync setting has a default in iOS 5 to that in iOS 4./

  • How can I stop Exchange calendar event copies appearing in drafts?

I use Outlook 2010 on a Windows machine at work. On my MacBook I use Outlook 2011 and have the Exchange calendar configured for iCal. Sync'ing works fine, except this one annoyance.
Since upgrading to Mountain Lion copies of existing, repeating calendar events keep appearing in my Outlook drafts folder. Every few days I have to empty it, sometimes from 50 event copies or more.

I too, was experiencing this. There seems to be no indication of a solution anywhere on the web. HOWEVER, I figured it out.
Here's the solution: Strangely, it's not really an exchange issue, but rather an issue with calendaring on the OSX side.
So you understand, here's the configuration that can cause problems:
you are using an exchange server to connect your email/calendar/notes/tasks...
You use a PC (or VM PC) for some/most of your exchange/outlook activities
You may or may not have MS Office 2011 (Mac) installed.
You have one or more Apple devices connected to your exchange account (iPhone, iPad, any Mac)
After installing Mountain lion, you start noticing events being magically duplicated every few minutes in your outlook draft folder. If you delete an event, another one takes its place.
    HERE IS THE FIX:
Short answer: Sync all calendars on all devices
On the apple side (OSX, IOS) you MUST turn on calendar sync in all the exchange accounts on all your devices. I thought I had, then discovered that my MS Office Outlook on my Mac was missing that sync. It doesn't seem to matter which apple device is missing the sync, it only takes one of them. Once you set calendar sync to "on" for all the apple devices that access that calendar, just like magic, the phantom multi event creation stops.
You should check all MS products on the OSX/IOS devices AND all apple devices that allow syncing. I haven't turned on notes sync through the cloud, so that isn't one of the items that cause problems.
If you do this and the multi still appears, you missed something on one of your apple devices.
    Sweet!

  • IPhone not syncing all exchange calendar events

I'm having some issues with an iPhone running iOS 5.0.1 sycing with an SBS 2008 / Exchange 2007 server.
Email and contacts sync fine without any issues. Calendar seems to be syncing fine but is missing out some events. I have tried to look at what events are not syncing to see if there is a pattern, but it is very random and nothing that links the events in any way.
I have tried deleting the exchange account from the phone and re-adding it and have also tried adding the account on a completley different phone and it still only syncs the same calendar events, missing out a few events.
I have looked in outlook on the users computer and the events show fine. Also logged in to outlook web access and it shows the events in there without a problem.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

We've found, too, that the type of calendar item can make a difference..as an example, a changed instance of a recurring appointment can be a problem..it has to do with the way Exchange handles them...their suggestion is if you have an appointment that is say, every Monday all year, at 900am, but sometimes it changes to 930, and sometimes say, to 830, you need to make 52 individual appointments rather that 1 52 instance recurring appointment...not a very attractive option.  The other thing that can make a difference if is an appointment has any attachments..first, the attachment can change frequently, leading to possible consistency issues that way, and second, the size of the attachment can make the Exchange client on the iOS device "choke"...also, users need to accept every invitation they see..if they delete 1 invitation, or if a delegate deletes one invitation the item will drop off of the calendar.....also, you want to minimize the number of delegates..thexe things are summarized in a couple of best practices documents Microsoft has published...
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA011276781033.aspx
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899704/
Also, I let users know that they want to minimize the number of instances of mail clients running against exchange Server...the more clients, particularly mobile devices, the more they are looking for trouble.

  • Exchange calendar events from another Exchange user appears on my iPhone 3G

We have two iPhones 3G (2.0.2) in our company, they are synced with Exchange server 2003 SP2, all works fine until I connected the second iPhone. Now I have on my iPhones my calendar events and also calendar events of my colleague together!
    How can I fix this??

I am having this exact same problem on the Palm Pre Plus from Verizon.  Every appointment request that comes in always says "Conflicts with another appointment", when there is nothing else on *any* of the calendars it sync's with.
Did you ever get/find a resolution to this?
Also - Palm, it would be nice if you could launch the calendar and open that exact date by clicking on that "Conflict" error, instead of having to bring up the launcher and panning to the date.  Just an idea, I'll submit in your feedback section soon....

  • ICal not seeing Exchange Calendar events

My iCal started behaving strangely in that it was importing exchange events into my personal calendar instead of my Exchange calendar. After trying several things I deleted "my card" in address book, and tried to recreate it in my exchange address book, thinking this would redirect all of my calendar events to exchange (since that was where my address card would be). When I realized that creating a "my address card" on the exchange side of the address book wasn't possible, I recreated the "my card" in the local address book on my mac.
The next thing I tried was to delete my personal calendar with the hope that this would force all calendar events coming into iMail to use my exchange calendar (seems logical, right?). I figured it wasn't a big deal since I wasn't using my personal calendar anyway (I use my exchange calendar for everything). The end result is that none of mail calendar events will now import into iCal..... at all.
    Any suggestions?

  • Does IOS 5.01 fix the Exchange calendar corruption problem?

IOS 5 has an issue that will corrupt Exchange calendars, deleting appoints, etc. Does 5.01 fix this problem?

5.0.1 does not address Outlook, my guess is that any troubles you have are on Outlook's end.

  • IPhone 2.2.1 and Exchange Calendar events no more???

  • Some exchange calendar events missing with iOS 5

I'm having difficulties with calendar events that are showing up on Outlook not showing up on the iPhone with iOS 5.  These had previosuly synced fine and been on the iPhone calendar before the upgrade to iOS 5, and only some claendar events aren't syncing correctly.  It appears to be doing this for both one-time and recurring events.  Additionally, new events on Outlook are syncing with the iPhone and new events added on the iPhone are syncing with Outlook.

Try closing all apps completely and then do a reset and see if that helps. To close all apps : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Curve 8520 or Bold 9700 calendar event problem

I have had my Bold 9700 for just over a month and my girlfriend has just bought an 8520 Curve.
She added an event in her calendar and invited me using the 'invite attendee' option.
I received an e-mail advising me of this and then looked in my calendar and the event was automatically in there.
I then created an event in my calendar and invited her.  She received the e-mail, but it was blank and nothing was in her calendar.
I have tried adjusting many different settings on both of our handsets.  I have tried resetting the e-mail accounts, but nothing is correcting the problem.
I am unsure as to which handset is causing/has the problem and any help at all would be appreciated.

    Hello Tonka7199,
You can try backing up her BlackBerry and clearing out the Calendar database.
KB10167 will show you how to clear the Calendar.
Once cleared, test again with the invites.
Let me know how it goes.
    Thanks
