IOS4 updated spellcheck on 3GS - doesn't work
Well it certainly doesn't on my 3GS - it's exactly the same as it was with the previous OS.
No red dotted lines, no user-defined spellings that you can add to a custom dictionary (it's colour and humour here in the UK, guys! ), nope - just the same as it was before.
So come on, Apple, where are these much-vaunted enhanced spelling facilities in iOS4 for us 3GS users?
(I hope it doesn't take Apple as long to recognise this and act than it did for them to finally, eventually, at long last accept that iTunes 9 didn't work with the iPod Classic and a fix needed to be issued)
PS Please don't respond with 'well it works for me' posts, which add nothing to the question. It ain't working for me and I want it to!
Did you already try to reset your phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data doing a reset.

I updated my 3GS with the latest update. But it doesn't work. Still I only see the Apple Icon on the display and almost every two minutes I get the sound of resetting/rebooting itself by the phone.

If your iPhone is unresponsive after updating your iOS version, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting below.
If you see a black screen
You might need to charge your device before it can turn on. Plug in your device and let it charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad), then try turning it on.
You should see a battery icon while your device is charging. If you continue to see a black screen, reset your device. If your device doesn't respond when you press buttons
Your device might not return to the Home screen when you press the Home button, wake from sleep when you press the Sleep/Wake button, slide to unlock or power off, or it might appear frozen. Try these steps:
Restart your device.
If it still doesn't respond, or if it doesn't turn back on, reset your device.
If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

Since updating to Mavericks, Mail doesn't work properly. It just stops working (no error messages--it just won't check for new mail) and I must shut it down and reopen it to get it working again. Any suggestions?
Try to force quit the mail app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.
Failing that, go into the settings, mail, contacts and calendars and remove your account info then put it back in and see if that works -
micosoft word isn't working. it said to see available updates so i did and updated it and sill doesn't work. it doesn't open.

Plug and unlpug the headphone jack with some intention to get the mechanical switch to flip.

If recovery mode did not work, try DFU mode, but don't use the latest backup to restore from after you have set it up "as new ipod" again.

Firefox stopped updating a while (couple of years) ago for some unknown reason. The button is checked for automatic updates. It was a while before I noticed, so now I've been stuck at v 2.0.0.20 for some time, and trying to manually update from your site doesn't work.
No update available will work, since I missed some. I can't even see what most of the buttons are on these pages of your site. Do I need to reinstall Firefox, as some people have suggested to me, and if so, how do I go about doing that? I'm not particularly computer program savvy.

Did you point that SkyDrive changed to OneDrive?
Did you move your OneDrive to another location or change its name?

Updated to IOS6, maps doesn't work
So I updates my software to ios6, was really looking forward to it as iv waited months like so may others and its terrible.
My maps doesn't work at all, the location is completely wrong and when I switch to hybrid or satellite view it just goes into black grids and doesn't come on, when I do get a picture in an area miles away from me it's black and white, I understand it only came out today and there will be glitches but the new maps is one of the main things in the update so I expected that to be up to scratch, also my keypad is forever freezing since iv updated.
In all honesty I'm actually really disappointed in the update and if I'd have know I'd have stuck with ios5, the colour scheme was a lot better in the old version to, just wondering if anyone else has came across the map problem?im having the same trouble funny how they never mentioned this before we updated i wasnt expecting the 3d flyover view to work on iphone 4 because of the lack of appropiate processing power but i wasnt expecting to lose the hybrid or satellite view all im left with is the basic mapping view
cmon apple fix it or at least let us have google maps back as an option
