Ios5 SOFTWARE update problems for iphone 3
Since uploading the new software (and subsequently re-storing), my phone signal is terrible (Telstra which has never been an issue previously) and the internet connection is slow.
Should I take phone to Telstra or APple? No problems at all with this device until I made this ios5 update.
Put the device in DFU mode and restore it.

My Nokia 6131 Version 3.70 but whenever i played a java games it will die out and when i turn on my phone and play the same game it also die out. But all my friends does not have this problems except me =( .Btw there is one game it ask me to "Press any key to continue" When i click any key im stuck there, it doesnt lead me to the welcome page it just hang there ---> "Press any key to continue"Message Edited by takashix on 19-Sep-2006

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Could anyone be of any help? This morning ive just recently update both my ipad3 & iphone5c to he new Ios update, the ipad worked straight away but the iphone seems to be stuck on the apple start screen, tried to reboot it off itunes, could anyone help please?

I downloaded a software update on my iPhone. Now it's asking me to connect to iTunes, but I don't have my computer with iTunes to connect to and won't be able to for a few days. What can I do to use my phone now?

Thank you for your reply, I did go to my general settings, but for some odd reason I don't have a restrictions setting, or a reset setting. I thought I could reset all the setting to see if it could be that, but as I said there aren't any.
My husband also has the iPad 2, and also did the software update and hasn't had any problems at all. I took both iPad's and compared the settings thinking maybe there could be a setting that could have been changed when the update was done. -
I have a software update on my iPhone but it asks me for a 4 number pass code does anyone know what this code is as never been asked before and don't have one
Hopefully, you use a passcode to unlock your lock screen. It is that passcode that is required to update IOS. See Settings > Passcode.

I just installed the latest software update on my iPhone this weekend (9/22/12), and now I can't get email. I've restarted and closed all my apps to no avail. I'm able to get email on my laptop, so it's not a problem with my provider. Any ideas?
Originally we were getting the error that the phone could not connect. Then, after deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it again, the error message CHANGED to having to log in to Yahoo and authorize.
When we went to Yahoo in a regular browser and logged in there was an alert telling us about connection attempts so it disabled mobile/iphone connectivity. It required that we change our password FIRST.
Then, we went in to Manage Apps and Webpages and saw that iPhone was not there but Facebook was.
After all of this went back to the phone and deleted then re-added the account again and SUCCESS!
It now also shows up on the Yahoo Manage Apps and Webpages.

was downloading the new software update on my iPhone when it froze and has been in that state for more then 15 hours.
tried turning it off didn't work. tried pressing buttons didn't work.
tried unplugging it and waiting for the power to die hasn't worked
tried the steps on the webiste but they didn't work
tried working it from the laptop doesn't connect because i can't put in the passcode.
also tried calling iTunes support but due to the holiday no one is answering
what can i do i need my phone!!!
thanksi was able to access the phone by pressing down on the off button and home at the same time

I bought a new iPhone 5s and its front and back camera are not working, showing black image. My phone is IOS 7 updated, and some one insisted that its is software updation problem, and can be resolved by updating to IOS 8. Kindly suggest on this. Will this resolve my issue?

It's completely situational. Without being able to directly compare the "scratch" on the original poster's iPhone with your iPhone, what gaamcc had happen could not be extrapolated to guess what Apple may do in your situation. It will depend entirely on what the Apple technician diagnoses after examining your iPhone. He/she may decide that any damage is strictly cosmetic and didn't have any connection with the problem you're taking your iPhone in for, or he/she may diagnose the problem as stemming from user damage. You'll just have to see when you go to the Apple Store.

<Email Edited by Host>If you're not on iOS5 or 6, you can't update wirelessly with "software update" on your phone. You need to plug into iTunes on your computer and update from there.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -
App Store says update available for iPhone app. Try to install and get the message "the item you are trying to buy is no longer available" for three apps in a row. Even when I go to the specific app and press Update, the update begins to install then aborts with this error message.iPhone 3GS running iOS 5.1.1. Also very long delay typing each keystroke in this message.
That error message is usually indicative of a problem with the App Store. If you look through the forums, you'll see that a number of people are experiencing the problem. Try again tomorrow.

I did the ios6 software update on my iphone and it did not complete because it said there was an error. It then gave me a message that I needed to restore my phone. When I tried to restore my backup it says it cannot be completed because there is not enough storage. I cant delete anything to make more storage because my phone is not usable because it wont restore. What do I do?
Something in your backup may be corrupt. Try wiping it and setting it up as a new device, then sync your apps, data and media back to it from iTunes. DO NOT resotre from your backup. If the problem is contained in the backup, it will bring it right back again if you restore.
