IOS5 - Well I just thought I would say that I am the biggest mug in the world with technology and I just did the IOS5 update without any trouble what so ever and everything is working perfectly and I have lost nothing !
I am sorry I waited since it came out as I was sure I would get into trouble but I did it, such a relief...

if you mean itunes , you can go to edit preferences devices and see if you have any backups there if you do resorre the back up
if you mean icloud jsut sing back into your icloud account and your info should come back (contacts ect.) -
in the summary when i plug my ipod in, i press on the check for update button and it says that my ipod it already up to date with the software 4.2.1. i have the latest itunes and have redownloaded itunes but nothing is working. please help
are you sure, that your iPod is 3rd generation? http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1353
For a second generation iPod, 4.2.1 is the latest possible version. -
Adobe Updater flashes a message on my screen once a week that says "No Internet connection. Please check your Internet settings and/or firewall. Waiting for connection..." Everything else works perfectly on my Internet connection.
I'm experiencing a similar problem.
I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011. I was using Lion (not Mountain Lion) with CS3 with no problems. Recently I installed a new hard drive in my computer and used Time Machine to transfer all my files and settings (still with Lion; I did not try to open any Adobe applications at this point). Then I udpated to Mavericks. Upon trying to open one of the Adobe applications, it told me I needed to reinstall CS3. I inserted the original disc and followed the instructions on the ReadMe file. I went to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers > Add or Remove Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. I did a reinstall, and at the end, it said that some of the components failed to install (see screenshot):
I did a partial install (not all CS3 applications), so there could have been more errors than this if all applications were installed. The applications themselves appear to work fine, but when I try to run the updater, it tells me I have no internet connection.

The CS3 that I purchased (Design Premium) came with Adobe Acrobat 8. I tried to manually install the 8.1.1 update. It said, "Please choose the copy of Adobe Acrobat Professional to update", but the application is grayed out (see below). I did not try to install any other manual updates, yet.
I'm not sure what to do here besides use my CS3 applications the way they are without updating them ever. (I would rather not subscribe to the Creative Cloud.) Any help will be appreciated. I might try doing a complete unintall followed by a fresh install. -

I have an ipod touch 4th Gen that everything was working perfectly. After the last update of iOs 5, the battery have charge 20 minutes. After the correction of the iOS 5.0.1 the battery have the same 20 minutes. What I can do? ThanksSame thing here. Try putting the brightness down all the way (its hard to see at first but you will get used to it) and one more thing is that close all you open apps. So to do that you have to click the home button twice (after you put your passcode in) and you will see some apps in the bottom. Hold it until there is a red - sign. click all of them so they go away. This does not delete your apps it just makes your ipod better.

Can I get help with podcasts? When I try to open the podcasts tab, itunes crashes, says "itunes has detected a problem and must close", or the spanish equivalent since my xp is in spanish. everything else works fine, it even downloads podcasts and syncs.
The only other thing I can suggest is to use the Repair option for iTunes.
Download the iTunes programme (do not uninstall your current iTunes) and then "install" the new copy. At some stage you should see an option to "install" or "Repair". Take the Repair option.
Once you've done that, if you still have a problem, I don't know what else to suggest, except to search through the discussions to see if anyone else has had the problem and managed to fix it. -
I have 3 Dell laptops at home and I am unable to connect my iPad 1 to any of them using the USB cable. If I connect the iPad to any Apple computer using the same USB cable, it works perfectly. I have installed the latest versions of iTunes and iOS, but still no luck. Apple Store Geniuses helped me determine that it wasn't my iPad causing the problem, but were less helpful when it came to dealing with non-Apple devices.
Options?Does the OS see the iPad at all? In other words does it show up in either the My Computer or Device Manager?
I've had problems in the past where I had to modify the registry to get my son's iPod to sync with a particular HP laptop.
If it doesn't show up at all have your tried using an external hub (with or without power)? -

Firefox is refusing to start. It says that my profile is missing, which it appears to be. Yet the way in which one goes about creating a new profile wont' work either. Anybody have a bloody clue what's going on and how to fix it?

The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it. So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair. I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got. I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully. What do I get in return? Nothing. Not a damned thing!! You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!! Not only will I be replacing this phone with a competitive product but I won't be buying anymore Apple crap. I guess when you con 27 million people into believing your rhetoric and sales lies, you don't have to care whether some customers get screwed or not. I'll be going back to Verizon and threatening legal action if they don't take this electronic dung heap back but I'm sure the teams of lawyers Apple and Verizon have on staff have insured that I have no rights in this matter and you're free to screw me anytime you please. Just did a Security update 2014-002, Now everything loads very slow if at all
I can not load ANY 3rd party applications after this update. It took my machine 10-15 to boot up and after I finally got to the desktop, I can only open Apple apps. Applications like MS Office, Adobe Reader, Google Chrome are ALL crashing and loading error messages. Below is the first part of the kernel panic:

I would boot to CD and restore to last back-up before the security update, but since I'm in the middle of a move, I have no CD available. I'm running OS 10.7.5 because my machine can't run Mavericks.

I have a 3G iphone. I just tried to download the new itunes and lost all my itunes I had. I tried to transfer them from my computer but can't. How can I and what do I do to get the ones I bought before and now have lost.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod/iphone/ipad: File>Transfer Purchases
