Facebook use to work on my itouch but recent update stops it working and requires ios5. I cant seem to download this and why sync done states latest software on itouch

You can download some types of files with other browsers, but that .exe file is not going to work on the iPad at all. Is that what you are trying to do?

I find the Air easier to work with if I need a keyboard if, for no other reason, that's more compact to carry around than the iPad and a keyboard, even one that is part of an iPad case. I also often have to access data from one application when using another, and iOS is not at its best when having to do rapid application switching (Command-Tab switching is a lot faster than the double press home, scroll the icons at the bottom and swap).
As well, for editing I find the lack of sandboxing on OSX allows for efficiency enhancing utilities across applications, something you don't get in iOS. I understand the reason for that, but while more secure it also creates issues of its own in terms of usability in a number of situations.
I prefer the iPad for totally single application focused situations where little or no input is required. I use my iPad to hold copies of manuals when I'm doing a full day continuing education presentation for CPAs. A MacBook Aire can't really fill in very easily for that usage.
I see them each as tools appropriate for different jobs.

No need to apologize, I actually found the phrase "If your iPad ever craps the bed" amusing under the circumstances
I checked the list of installed apps like you suggested (Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps) but this problem app is not in the list. I have also swiped down on the home screen to search for it, but again it does not show.
While it has not let me download the app (and I just tried it again) it has helped me to eliminate a few things from the list of what to try, and I can definitely conclude that it has not downloaded.
I guess I need to fire up my PC and download it / sync my iPad.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. hello zombiasnow, adobe has announced in late 2011 that it will cease any further developement of flash on mobile devices, so now that's kind of a dead technology on mobile. if you have a complaint about a third party product, you'll have to put that to the vendor of this device (amazon in your case). the firefox support forum isn't the right place for such a discussion.

I am having the same problem. Showing I have 5 updates and when I try to update it says "downloading" and then I get dumped out of the app store.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

There is still 4.7gb of memory available.

Why does my Firefox say my java applet is corruped and will,not download for my game

I play a lot of games on POGO and they tell me that I have to have JAVA and Mozilla Fire Fox for my browser. I have 1 game that I get kicked off of each time I try to play it. I get a notice telling me that my browser says my applet from Java is corrupted and will not download. I have done everything they suggest and nothing works. Itunes 10.5 will not download on windows 64bit

im seeing lots of this. 10.5 will not download onto my comp. i have 64bit windows 7. tryed everything. keep getting same error message,
There is a problem with the windows installer package. A program for this install to complete could not be run.
I uninstalled itunes from computer, tryed again. and nothing. same thing.
had to re-download 10.4.1 which downloaded with no problem.
what is goin on with this new update?

I saw it in the forum yesterday! I had to dig to find it... but then I come here today and I see so many people having the same issue... so I made a thread that has the solution as the first post and replied to some other peoples' threads.
I don't really know why iTunes 10.5 has this problem, but this fix seems to always do the trick!
Hopefully Apple can find the root of the problem so people don't have to do this in a future iTunes release. It must have something to do with the push notification system they added to iTunes. (In iTunes 10.5, your computer connects to Apple's Push Notification System so that it can know when your iPhone is on the Wi-Fi network and also to advertise when the computer itself is on the network. It also receives requests to sync via Wi-Fi this way as well...)
